Sturridge Doubt For Craven Cottage Trip

Daniel Sturridge is an injury doubt ahead of Bolton’s trip to Craven Cottage tomorrow night.

The Chelsea loanee turned an ankle late on in the 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday and was duly replaced having opened the scoring for the Trotters.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle gave this update on the situation in this afternoon’s press conference…

“Daniel Sturridge limped off near the end and we will give him until the last minute to see if he is available, and hopefully he is.”

Sturridge was a popular Fantasy signing going into Bolton’s double fixture in the gameweek, with almost 60,000 transferring in the striker. His Fantasy owners will be hopeful that the Sturridge can recover to face Fulham and continue his outstanding form. Sturridge has netted 7 goals in 9 appearances for Bolton.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Thanks for the input people. I have Smalling and Vidic. Is it lunacy to go Vidic > Lescott? The decision will obviously be made a little easier after Schalke stuff Utd and stop Fergie's infernal rotation rollercoaster.

      This is epic genius, man.

      City have kept cleanies for the last 2 weeks now so I'd say 3 in a row looks unlikely.

      Love the 59 minutes and 1 pt chant.

      My personal favorite mantra was '85 minutes and a yellow card and now the cleanies gone, ah-me-ee-e-ee-en!' (often followed by the strangulated sounds of a cat being kicked or remote control being dashed across the room!)

              And you would probably be right. I still think he hates Johnson, he'll wait and bring him on at the 59 minute mark for...wait for it...Kolarov...lol.
              Mario will get brought down in the 3rd minute and not get a call and will be ruined until Shawn Wright Phillips comes on in the 82nd minute. Dzeko will play horrible link up ball with Barry and be as strong as O'Douls. And Yaya and Silva will carry the weight by playing around them.

      My intuition a few weeks ago was to get rid of Demps but I kept him because of dgw coming up. I should have trusted my gut. He was much sharper earlier in the season. That said, there is the lure of keeping him to play against that Sunderland back 4. I think I am going to resist though. There will be goals but I would be surprised if he was on the scoresheet.

    Defoe - DGW, home games vs Blackpool & Brum, but is he a guaranteed starter?

    Pavlyuchenko - look above for fixtures, and returns are actually pretty good in past few weeks (6+ points in 4 of last 8 games)

    Balotelli - City double + fixtures. But the man is a maniac.

              Really hard to tell, but I think it will be a cautious game. It all depends on whether Schalke have the confidence to attack Man United, in which case they have a chance. But the injury to Höwedes will lead to a more defensive concept for Schalke, I fear, with a "double six" defensive midfield, and that ain't going to work over two legs.

                Oh right haha. It's a puzzle game involving portals (who'd have guessed 🙂 ). You have a gun that can fire two portals at a time: you go in on and come out the other. Simple premise but some of the puzzles can feck yor mind!

                Bung in a great story, genuinely funny dialogue (Steve Merchant's in the sequel), and great music (the National created a song especially for Portal 2 called Exile Vilify) and you've got one of the best games in years.

                The original is super cheap and you can get it on Steam for the PC/Mac/PS3 and Xbox Live Marketplace for the 360.
