Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2011/12 Is Now Open

Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

    Drag and drop feature is nifty. It shows you the players that can be swapped to your bench.

    (please don't tell me this was a feature of the old site that I hadn't noticed)

      Yes both Coleman and Mummy look like duds already this year. Having said that, last year Bale went from DEF to MID and I still bought him from the start.

              I'd expect Agger to play when fit. We went on a great run of clean sheets last season with him in the team.

              Fullbacks aren't set in stone, but Kelly's a good shout.

                  To be honest, I'd go:

                  Kelly, Carragher, Agger, G.Johnson

                  (despite Skrtel playing every game last season).

                  As with so much, we need to see more pre-seasons over the next few weeks. My team will change A LOT in that time.

      Kompany is relatively cheap. There are good options about in defence generally tbh. Nothing really expensive going on in midfield. Not for me anyways :/

    So then, has anyone posted who came to this site for the first time via the FFS link in The Scout section on FPL?

    At the moment it looks quite discreet. Can't see there being that much of an influx if it stays similar each week.

    Does this new assist rule means there won't be assist for goalkeepers? IE when they kick the ball and the striker scores? Cause is outside the area or?

        I think you're right. I know very little about Sinclair, and was going to put a question mark by him.

        I think Bruce is planning to play Sessegnon as second striker (as I think he has in pre-season).

        Not many OOPs though.

    Simpson still 4? Good lad, c'mon in. I am rather worriedly toying with the notion of getting Balotelli. Tchoyi is ticklin me too. Given at 5 is priced fine, as is Hughes I guess, Valencia for 8 seems reasonable. Can't see many steals yet. Shane Ferguson, 1st 4.0 mid? Don't remember one starting out so low b4.

    1) When did FPL actually open? I'll be miffed if it was whilst I was on Black Ops.

    2) Whose got the lowest ID, I have 2700 and something.

    anyone noticed how Shane Ferguson has started at 4M as a midfielder.
    Hes the only Midfield player at that price, I don't ever remember a midfielder starting a season at anything lower than 4.5 previously? is this a mistake? I don't think hes gonna get many starts, but he might just begin to break into the team?

      Rate My Pool is the new RMT.

      My thought on yours: McCarthy is worth the extra 0.5 over Moses. Valenica is a no-go with Nani, Young and Park about. You need some Damien Duff.
