Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2011/12 Is Now Open

Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

    Camzy official first draft. I'm sure it'll change frequently before the start of the season pending team news, injuries, pre-season or whatever, but it's something to go off!

    It looks really imbalanced at the moment, but I can't see any good investments in midfield, and the way it's set up, all it takes is two transfers to shift the money from strikeforce to midfield.

      Lol, fair enough going for a cheap midfielder but surely their is better than Shaun Derry, he is like the biggest yellow card magnet going. Oh and Tamas probably won't even be with us next season, and even if he is I doubt he will be playing.

    Interesting the new EA Sports Index Ratings:

    Aside from Malouda huge gaping lead at first, midfield seems rather poorly represented...could be something to think about when allocating funds for this coming season.

    had kompany been classified as a defender last season, he would have finished with 167 points, only behind baines in defenders.

    I'm not sure about Rooney yet but given tonights playing, I'd say he'll be on form at the beggining of the season, regardless of who Man U play.

        Lampard missed almost half the season, only playing 2000 mins and he still finished in at 130pts. Chelseas oepning fixtures seem pretty positive too. As for Halt, his numbers are amazing, even if he put away half the goals he did last year, he would still be a bargain at 5.0.

        However, I have switched out Downing for Ben Arfa and then switched out Ba and Rooney for RVP and Saurez.

    So, the rudimentary, and probably first of many RMT attempts for everyone to rip to shreds.

      Rafael is still first choice RB and Fabio would have to compete with Evra at LB, Valencia I am not sure about with Nani/Young/Park/Giggs/Wellbeck et al battling for wing spots, I also think Taarabt is more or less a done deal to PSG so would leave that position as tentative.

      RVP is the essential striker, not so sure on Torres, Ba great 3rd option.

        torres is a bit of a gamble, mainly just wanted a chelsea striker to cover their good fixtures.

        i did have hernandez/ba/rvp in attack, may go back to that combination.

        That's basically my team at the moment too.

        Rodallega is a good choice simply for the first 3 gameweeks which are all against promoted teams. He's on penalties too. Much safer choice than Ba.
