Members Area Upgraded

Earlier today we upgraded the Members Area to the new site template, giving everything a facelift as we rolled out the ICT Scout Index – our Fantasy Football Player Index.

We will make a detailed post on the ICT index later this evening, although if you want some early insight into how this works you can refer to this earlier post which explains the basics.

Members can currently view Top 10’s for Influence, Creativity and Threat, plus the Index score, from last season via their new Members dashboard in the Members Area. Full ICT Index scores can then be gathered via the Player Stats > Fantasy Index tables. You can view these tables by position or for all players.

Much more on this to come later.

We are working to roll out the new site template to the main site. We’re currently still optimising the new design and will look to carry out further tests in the next week before announcing a release date.

    A change from more RMT's, I'll make a case for Danny Graham as a Swans' supporter. Statistically over the last few seasons we've been as threatening as an asthmatic looter trying to smash a window with a pillow, but that's mainly because our strikers have been of the standard of Shefki Kuqi, David Cotterill, Cedric Van Der Gun, and Lee Trundle on a premature Saga holiday. If we can create even half the chances we have then a decent striker should get goals and we're built for counter-attacking.

    He won't start in my team, but he's on the watchlist and a decent gamble for the money.

      With your defensive options not hailing from the blue side of Manchester being substandard at best. I'd think about changing one of Kompany/Lescott.

      I wouldn't want 2 defensive covers from Norwich either, so maybe change De Laet for somebody else.

      Your expensive midfield is really killing your attack and defence, Maybe downgrade VDV for a mid priced option, Spurs have poor opening fixtures anyway.

        To be fair, you may be right - Camzy (who is held on a FF pedestal around here) had him. I tend to look at it the other way - the promoted teams will be targeting Wigan as a winnable fixture, so I expect goals. I am going with bramble for what it is worth.

      Your layout is headache inducing, you have too many risky options in your midfield imo. It is a decent team on paper though...I think Senderos is a better option than Bramble at 4.5, it's very difficult to predict how Sunderland will line up with all of their summer signings.

    Enrique aside (will sub him for Senderos if he hasn't moved) are there are any big issues with the team??

    One nagging thought: the majority of FFS'ers seem loathe to use transfers for cash gain, but with funds at a premium this season is nobody seriously considering taking a points hit early on for 5m extra in the bank???????

    It's a strategy that has failed me miserably the last 2 seasons, but I can't help thinking that this time next year, Rodney...........

      If you can make 5 mil with a single hit I'd be very impressed. IMO it's better to just wait and see where value emerges rather than trying to focus on the team value.

        Most teams I've seen here have one weak area of the team which could be addressed by a few or 15 canny transfers when everyone is going ape at the start of the game.

            Honestly, I dunno. if I knew then I would not have done so appalling the last 2 years.

            Just think there are so many price rises flying around the first month, that there's some valuable dosh to be had at the price of some valuable points. on the basis of experience I'd say it aint worth it, but this year????? Might be worth a flutter

              I think there will be a lot of people using their w/c after week 3 due to 2nd w/c. I used mine in week 2 last year being my first year and making rookie mistakes in my initial picks! It worked out well for my team value, and will probably do an early w/c again depeding on which bandwagons collapse/steam ahead.

      i think he`ll start ,he was the business in germany ,good confidence builder last week ,8.5 vs swansea at home ,ive just put him in i reckon carlos is the danger to him starting......
