Members Area Upgraded

Earlier today we upgraded the Members Area to the new site template, giving everything a facelift as we rolled out the ICT Scout Index – our Fantasy Football Player Index.

We will make a detailed post on the ICT index later this evening, although if you want some early insight into how this works you can refer to this earlier post which explains the basics.

Members can currently view Top 10’s for Influence, Creativity and Threat, plus the Index score, from last season via their new Members dashboard in the Members Area. Full ICT Index scores can then be gathered via the Player Stats > Fantasy Index tables. You can view these tables by position or for all players.

Much more on this to come later.

We are working to roll out the new site template to the main site. We’re currently still optimising the new design and will look to carry out further tests in the next week before announcing a release date.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

You think Silva will do well this season? I honestly don't understand his fantasy appeal.

Other than that looks like a solid team. Glad to see some people are still going with a heavy front line instead of the mids.

Haha. I just come on here for two reasons:

          1) The RMT's are useless but there are usually a couple good posts from people that really can give you food for thought.

          2) Some of the things people say on here genuinely make me lol.

AS for Silva, I reckon he'll still be the one making the pass to the pass that gets the assist. Doesn't seem like much of a goal threat either.

Give me proven assist and goal scoring threats ahead of supposed bonus point magnets. Remember, the EA bonus points system has never been used before, how can anyone really predict if he'll get more bps than anyone else?

        Reposting from the last page:

I’m probably going to be on my own on this one, but I don’t like the whole thing of sending them to the Crown Court to be sentanced so that they can be given longer terms.

Whilst the police should be jumping up and down on them like cockroaches in the street in order to protect peope and property, once they’re caught giving them long sentences is pointless. Whilst its not an excuse, it is true that a lot of them will have been caught up in the wave. Giving them a long prison sentance just serves to wreck their lives for one stupid descision made on mass.

Its been done exactly the wrong way round and in the long term it can only make things worse. Fire away chaps!

yeah, you're right, but the fact that the people organising them in the first place think they can get away with it needs addressing.

These people need to be sat at home shitting their pants at the thought that they could be facing 10 years.

They won't of course, it needs to be more than 6, and likely even if they do get something lengthy, it will be slashed down with good behaviour.

The fact that they now have criminal records if going to affect them adversely enough anyway, as is the fact that they've basically shat on their own doorstep. When they get out, they're not going to be able to go home, not in the near future.

No, but this sort of thing is a lot esier to get swept along with. I really don't think that the sentences given out are going to be a serious deterent in the short-term, which is where the problem lies.

Plus the fact that sometimes a "bad" fixture is going to yeild more points than a "good" one.

You'd prefer a defender facing, say Stoke than one facing Arsenal, but Stoke could score, Arsenal could not get goals.

    Thoughts much appreciated!:)

    A.Cole-Kompany-Orr-De Laet-Simpson
    Nani-Silva-N'Zogbia-Moses-Taarabt
    Rooney-Suarez-DJ

I was considering getiing Malouda in for Silva, but where can I make that 1m?? I'm keeping Rooney so I can just get in RVP when he's back, if Rooney isnt performing

    Cheers

Dont think he will have as much chance of attacking as last year but will still score at least 5 + and be good for assists

Overpriced, but will score pretty well. His score last year was boosted by playing up front for a few games, but now Zamora is fit again (and they have Dembele and Andy Johnson) that's unlikely.

Get him in for any double gameweeks, though, he's a bit of a legend.

How is he overpriced, what else can you get for that price?

Just take a look at his score relative to his price, and compare it to VdV (3 less points, 1.5 more cost), Young (1.5 more cost, 8 less points) - Malouda gives you 18 more points, but costs you 2.0 more

Dempsey is well priced in my book.

He had a great FPL season last year, but the 3 seasons before he scored 115 126 120. I can't see him scoring 12 goals again myself.

Kuyt or Nani for GW1? Will be switching to Malouda for GW2.

    Already have Rooney too.

Kuyt then. You'd like some Liverpool cover vs Sunderland at home. Hate this 'I'll transfer ... out after the 1st week' chat though - you never know what could go wrong, injuries suspensions players dropped/not picked etc.

I agree, these plans rarely work out, especially in the first week of the season with all the unknowns.

Cheers for the shout on Kuyt though, think it could pay off with Sun at home.

Just wondering why more people arent going for Adam, he was a must have last year playing for blackpool, hes playing for an improving liverpool this year surely meaning more chance of points?

It's just his price. I think he'll do fine this season and comfortably score three figure points. Just not essential as he was last year. There are plenty of choice at that price

This site is getting ridiculous, new page every 10 mins and impossible to get any discussion going.

Is there anything in the new design to calm it down a bit?

      How about a forum...

I agree with you though, I hate that good discussions get buried because 100 new RMTs push them 5 pages back.

I think a kind of forum system could work. Maybe leave comments under articles on as well, so you get the 'live' discussion and posts related to the article, but also have a separate discussion forum, where people can have more in depth conversations.

PS I've posted this on a new page, as this discussion from 5 minutes ago is probably now lost forever.

It is very much like that. As soon as a sensible discussion starts, a new page opens up and everyone moves to that. Tried to discuss the Captain's Poll yesterday and a new page had opened before we'd barely begun. Still, I guess it means it's popular, eh?

I think if there was away to get notifications that people had posted on threads you had already commented on, it would draw you back to continue the conversation. A bit like Facebook.

        That could work.

Just annoying that by the time I've caught up on the discussion and found something to comment on, by the time I've posted it's already moved on to a new page!

Will probably happen with this post too in fact.

I also think if they had a proper forum with different sections for different topics it woudl slow the churn down. One for discussions about injuries, one about RMTs, one about help with the actual website etc etc.

Not sure that would work. Why would you ever go in the RMT forum to find some teams to rate?? It would just be a load of RMTs with no answers or discussion.

Well, OK then forget the RMT section, but one for injury discussions, one for rotations, one for BP disucssions etc.

No-one knows for certain, as with all the rotation risks - we're just speculating. Make your own guess and ride

      OR

do the sensible thing and start the season off with a solid team with few risks.
