Members Area Upgraded

Earlier today we upgraded the Members Area to the new site template, giving everything a facelift as we rolled out the ICT Scout Index – our Fantasy Football Player Index.

We will make a detailed post on the ICT index later this evening, although if you want some early insight into how this works you can refer to this earlier post which explains the basics.

Members can currently view Top 10’s for Influence, Creativity and Threat, plus the Index score, from last season via their new Members dashboard in the Members Area. Full ICT Index scores can then be gathered via the Player Stats > Fantasy Index tables. You can view these tables by position or for all players.

Much more on this to come later.

We are working to roll out the new site template to the main site. We’re currently still optimising the new design and will look to carry out further tests in the next week before announcing a release date.

      That team is excellent.

Could be more streamlined in defense. Kelly and Hughes in particular could be replaced to fund someone better.

Nice front 8. Zamora has dropped off most RMTs, but he fits in nicely here.

Camzy - do you not rate Zamora? or you just commenting on others views?

Also - is it overkill to have Zamora and Dempsey for the start of the season (my take, Fulham have some really good opening fixtures and decently priced attackers)

Nice team. Have you gone for Dyer(SWA) or Dyer (QPR)? I'd get a 6.5 mid to replace Dyer with the funds from Camzy's suggestion to downgrade defs. Taarabt, Sess or Sinclair +0.5 maybe?

I've gone with Zamora based on fixtures and the 1m extra I can use to fund my other strikers where good value seems hard to find.

Plus, if you believe the hype, Fulham will be super attacking and score at least 5 goals a game next season.

Ive gone with Gyan . Easy first 10 fixtures and he is sunderlands lone striker up-front with sess playing behined him Most probably .
When it comes to fulham there are chance of zamora , AJ and dembele being rotated + Jol is in the hunt for a new striker ( jerome ? )

Personally no. Unless he shows some FPL scoring form then I'd rather look at Walcott or RVP.

Do people really dislike Arsenals first 3 fixtures that much? They've got an away tie against a Newcastle team in turmoil and they play Liverpool at the Emirates and I wouldn't bet on any of those teams' defences!

Granted there's the GW3 tie vs. United at OT but you might have missed out on some major points before then.

There fixtures might not be the worst but there are definitely other team with better fixtures.

RVP is injured and who knows when he is coming back. Walcott could be a good pick but then at 9.0, he is quite a bit more expensive than Ramsey who is currently 6.5. I dont know about you but I could definitely use those extra 2.5 somehwere else.

          It's the most logical explanation.

Sunderland have 4 competing center backs. Turner, Bramble, Ferdinand, Brown. Last season, they played Bramble and Turner.

By that reasoning, Ferdinand is out of the equation, and he's crap anyways.

So the only way Bramble will be left out is if Turner and Brown both play. This is unlikely considering Bruce's favoring of Bramble, and the good displays he put on last season. If anything, Bramble is the most nailed on starter of all Sunderland's center backs.

Ok B&B, I had an idea earlier; let's say they used a water cannon, and let's say the water contained a powerful purple dye. Anyone in those mobs get hosed, they're bright purple for the next week, easy to find and arrest.

But let's say they don't get everyone. How do you think the rest of the community would react to someone who had clearly been involved in looting them, their friends, family and neighbors?

I think the fact is, some of them need some dicipline, and I don't think once arrested and convicted they're going to be able to just integrate back into society. They've made things much worse for themselves and they're better off with nothing to do but read some books in prison to educate themselves.

Yeah, but if they see a massive armoured vehicle with a water cannon attached trundling up the road towards them then I doubt they'd hang around for long.

On that note I can't understand why we aren't talking about using armoured vehicles/mounted officers more than any other measures. They're the only measures which have proved consistently effective so far.

Briefly going back to the discussion lost on the previous page about discussions being lost on previous pages...

I think a kind of forum system could work. Maybe leave comments under articles on as well, so you get the 'live' discussion and posts related to the article, but also have a separate discussion forum, where people can have more in depth conversations.

I'm starting to wonder about Man City's players. I have Silva at the moment but I'm getting increasingly worried. He's only 9.5, and that's not alot for a player who I'd be happy to captain when City have a decent match, the problem is that

    A. I'm not sure if Silva will get enough assists and goals for that
    matter to justify the pricetag.

    B. I'm not even sure who is a good city player to get. Mancini said they will be more attacking, and that's taking into account only 3 other teams scored more than them last season.

Not too bad, I'd try bring in Silva for Malouda just to have some City cover.
Jagielka has been in and out of my team, can't make my mind up about him!

      Nice team though.

The Relegated Strikers / Big Money Mids Theory

Remove Your 3 strikers, they cost way too much and are fikel sodds
who are often hurt or are lacking fittness

    Put in Campbell 5.5 / Holt 5.5 / Graham 5.0
Prolly all 3 end up in the top 5 points per £
Dont touch your GK or Defense
Spend all remaining cash on Your Midfield
One of the 3 strikers will always be the first man off Your bench

Who do You end up with at mid?

Carroll. Definitely Carroll from the start. You can always get Drogba later if he nails down a first team place. It's too much of a risk early on.

This is a non generic FFS team. I have now totally ditched the strategy I had earlier to have Yaya, Malouda, Nani etc and have now settled for one big hitter in midfield and four cheaper regular starters.

1.0 in the bank to replace Carroll with either Drogba or Torres once we know who starts

    Cech Ruddy
    Kompany Baines Warnock Bosingwa Bramble
    Silva Ramsey Sinclair Moses Hoolahan
    Rooney Carroll Beattie

I had to put Beattie in to make up the numbers.. not good I know but hope we will never be fielded in the team and play 4 or 5 in defence and midfield every week. Bos is a rotation risk but can be changed if he is to Gibbs if he starts.

Please let me know your thoughts on anything I have missed or any huge errors made.

    RMT please- thanks in advance

You know the stance I usually take on teams.

2 big hitters and 2 rotating bench sitters is better than 4 average mids.

I think you've changed your team for the worse. Defense is too expensive.

Taraabt and Sinclair rotate so you will play Moses every week? Midfield seems weak for some reason because of that. Pool have tough away fixtures... Agger may not be good for cleanies. Otherwise aite

You must be a pool fan! Haven't seen many with Agger but its good to see something different.

Be wary of Toure coming back, Lescott's place could be in doubt then.

I'd prefer Suarez over Carroll long term.
