Yet again both Manchester clubs in are involved in Sunday Premier League action. With most fantasy managers cheering on their captain today, the Dugout Discussion opens to follow all the action from the three games on show.

We start at Old Trafford as United look to open up an eight point gap with a victory against Everton. The team news from the match-up is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man United XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Nani, Rooney, Welbeck.

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Osman, Heitinga, Gibson, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jelavic.

Nani returns to United’s starting eleven for the first time in eight games, with Ashley Young taking his place on the substitutes bench. Facing his former employer, Darron Gibson starts for Everton.

Then it’s over to bottom of the league Wolves, where City are in town needing three points regardless of the earlier result. Kicking off at the same time, Liverpool and West Brom are also in action, with Roy Hodgson back at Anfield for the first time since departing as Liverpool manager.

      Shotton never had a 'place'. He will always be a rotation risk, just like any other young player at Stoke.

      For what its worth I can see Wilkinson playing the majority of games now this season. If Shotton plays it will likely be in right midfield in place of Pennant.

        i always thought it depended more on whether Delap was playing and if they needed Shotton for the long throws or not.

          Initially I also thought this was the case, but it appears not.

          Delap's legs have gone and personally I don't see a future for him beyond this season. Shotton's throw-ins were a handy replacement to have but TP has been playing the odd game without either of them since the turn of the year suggesting we don't 'have' to play a throw in specialist all the time.

    Looks like Woves relegation will be official today then.

    Probably for the best as they can now start planning for next season rather than having a smidgeon of hope over the last 3 games.
