The Big Numbers – Gameweek Thirty Five

Everton stun United at Old Trafford to leave the door ajar for City and set up a momentous Manchester derby. City did the business as expected at Molineux, with Sergio Aguero netting for the third consecutive game to bring the title race to the boil.

Our Members can dive into the statistics from all the Gameweek’s action so far, with our selection of the key numbers to follow, along with a view on the possible destination of the Fantasy Premier League bonus points…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If so, don't do it tonight. VDV's hamstrings consist of the following elements:

        a cheesestring

Not really. VDV is a better option imo. Not having Bale proved to be a very good differential over the past couple of months. Saying that i brought him in last week (only to be greeted by 2pts)

I have seen very little to persuade me that not having him won't continue to be a good differential personally. If I had him I'd play him of course but certainly wouldn't take a hit for him now

His form is starting to pick up. And the BLA and bol don't have the best defences. I predict Spurs coming back in full force. The last result should wake them up.

    On last page....

    WARNING! DGW MADNESS!
It is so hard to not make any transfers right now. Though I just did RVP>Jellyfish

Will do these for GW 36:
    Sess,Walcott>VDV,Pienaar for a 4 pt hit.

    Leaving me with this team!

    Krul(che,wig)

    BAE(BLA,bol)-Caulker(WOL)-McAuley(AVL)

    Dempsey(eve,liv)-Siggy(WOL)-Pienaar(FUL,sto)-VDV(BLA,bol)

    Aguero(MUN)-Jelavic(FUL,sto)-Cisse(che,wig)

    Two questionas:

1)Do you like my transfers and team for the exceptional amazing DGW 36?
2)Do you think it’s worth to take a 4 pt hit to do McAuley>Terry/Huth/Hibbert ?

    Cheers! 🙂

I would have kept RVP. He is one of the few top teams with decent fixtures after the dgw and he looked dangerous against Chelsea. He should rip up stoke, who look weak defensively at the moment. And i wouldn't do a hit for a defender if i have 'decent' coverage.

Forget extravagance. You want fpl points. After his DGW, Jelly faces relegated Wolves. He is the kind of differential that really can make large inroads into a lead.

Well you have Cisse, so Jelly is your man. Give him the armband and there's a big differential right there.

I think Howard is a good shout, given the DGW and his better last two fixtures than Vorm. If your rival is playing Vorm, definitely a good shout.

And no Torres, Suarez or anything else that rhymes with soirées.

That certainly makes a difference as regards Howard. Maybe Friedel in the hope that Tottenham finally do something. That's who I have, but I'm less than enthused. Doubling up could be the way though. Double returns. There are only 3 GWs to go and it is time for chasers to throw caution to the wind.

As for the striker spot, you'd be mad not to go with Jelly, IMO.

Like I said, time to take chances. They may go against you, but that's how it goes. The one sure thing is that if you don't have enough high scoring differentials to your leader, you will lose.

I can't wait for the season to end, now - this DGW will get me in the Priory before long. I don't see any great options aside from Jelly and yet the key will perhaps be to maintain some security. For instance, logic would suggest Bale or VDV aren't worth having but should they explode...

same 2 things have become clear to me this year.

1 - Get a spine in your team and do not touch it

2 - forget keeper rotation it will burn you, buy 1 keeper who will play every week and then 1 very cheap 1, and just play the expensive one every week. Mine will likely be Hart

The spine thing is so true, some players you just have to trust will get you the points over an entire season.

But then again you cannot be sure! Though it seems more important to rotate your cheapies as they seem to make a bigger difference.

Only transfer people in who are on form, and preferably with good fixtures too.

Yeah me too, form is way more important I think. I refuse to give up on fixtures totally though.

Bt my flatmate is in the top 16k and she doesnt look at the fixtures at all. Its depressing.

What do you guys think on my DGW team?

    Cech* (Vorm)
    Terry* | BAE* | ______* (Jevans, Kilgallon)
Bale* | Dempsey* | Sigurdsson | VDV* (Valencia)
    Jelavic* | Cisse* | RVP

Could somebody help me fill in the gap for the last DGW defender? I have 9.1 for him.

Scholes/Giggs in the same midfield is a no no.

Ideally we'd go with a midfield three but after Carrick and Scholes options are scarce (Clev's fitness doubts, Jones' and Giggs' poor form).

I'd be inclined to go with the same set up as today but with Rooney under instruction to drop deep and make up the numbers in midfield.
