The Dugout Discussion opens this afternoon, hoping for a similar goal glut witnessed in yesterday’s edition. We’ve two games to pour over, with all four clubs with something to play for. Later we’ll be at White Hart Lane where Tottenham continue to chase Champions League qualification against relegation fighting Blackburn. Before that there’s a West London derby at Stamford Bridge, between Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Terry, Cole, Mata, Essien, Lampard, Sturridge, Torres, Kalou.

QPR: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Mackie, Barton, Derry, Buzsaky, Cisse, Zamora.

As expected, Roberto Di Matteo has tinkered with his line-up ahead of of a huge night in Munich, but somewhat surprisingly there are still starts for the likes of Juan Mata and Frank Lampard.

The visitors name an attacking line-up, with Djibril Cisse partnering Bobby Zamora up front.

    Had a nice 4-fold on Jelavic, Cisse, RVP and Gary Hooper all to score this weekend at 14/1... But Cisse messed me up 🙁

    So the discussion on the FPL assist ruling deepens following Mata's efforts today.. There's a lot of people stating that FPL should apply real life ruling on awarding the assists.. Could it work if real life assists are awarded as per FPL rules?? Sounds ridculous to change 'real life' rules on the bases of a 'fantasy' rule of a single league but I thought the FPL ruling isn't all that ludicrous if you think about how that ruling may be come about...

    Just a passing thought so please don't shoot me down.. 🙂

    So Wigan to get one win, one loss and finish on 40 points, (BLA, WOL)
    Bolton to get a win and a draw from TOT, WBA, sto and finish on 38
    Villa to get 1 draw from (TOT, nor) and finish on 38.

    QPR to get one win from (STO, mci) and finish on 37
    Blackburn to get one win from (tot, wig, CHE) and finish on 34

    I just can't see QPR or Blackburn getting out of this.

    For QPR to get out they realistically need Bolton and Blackburn not to win any games, I can't see them getting anything vs City.
    For Blackburn to, they need a minimum of two wins from their very tough fixtures. Let's see what happens vs Spurs, but Wigan are the form team, and Chelsea have form, but will have one eye on the CL final.

      Yep I think we are down now, even if we win at Stoke. Bolton will get some points against WBA/Stoke I think so they will be safe.

        If Bolton win just one of their three fixtures then you can see QPR staying up on GD, but today didn't help on that front, only 5 ahead now. Another thrashing by City on the final day could be dire, but then what if city are on for the title and choke and you get a win there?

        Unlikely, but possible.
