Dugout Discussion

Sunday Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion opens this afternoon, hoping for a similar goal glut witnessed in yesterday’s edition. We’ve two games to pour over, with all four clubs with something to play for. Later we’ll be at White Hart Lane where Tottenham continue to chase Champions League qualification against relegation fighting Blackburn. Before that there’s a West London derby at Stamford Bridge, between Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Terry, Cole, Mata, Essien, Lampard, Sturridge, Torres, Kalou.

QPR: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Mackie, Barton, Derry, Buzsaky, Cisse, Zamora.

As expected, Roberto Di Matteo has tinkered with his line-up ahead of of a huge night in Munich, but somewhat surprisingly there are still starts for the likes of Juan Mata and Frank Lampard.

The visitors name an attacking line-up, with Djibril Cisse partnering Bobby Zamora up front.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open – with moderators will be on hand to resolve any issues – and can be accessed right here.

The funny thing about the DGW is that it's coincided with Torres and Suarez suddenly exploding in the first game, when if it weren't for the next games, in which they could both quite easily do nothing, a lot of people wouldn't have had them for this one.

Got him since the last dgw. But no, he would not have been there had he not been given this 2nd dgw! Glad it paid off however! Step aside Dempsey, Suarez is my new dgw hero!

You have to finish in the top 45. These links are a combination of what you had to do at the end of last season and the begining of this season. Hope they help.

Really happy my 3 transfers have paid off Pienear,VDV and Jellyfish in for Sess,Walcott and Tevez if only I had chose 1 as captain instead of Cisse, would love to break the top 1k think im going fall short though, anyway know its a while off but who do people prefer captaining for next gameweek Rooney (providing no injury of course) or Rvp?

Same thinking I'm having sadly. Have Torres , Jelavic, VDV and Bale and captained Cisse instead. Well I guess he has one more game to make that up for us! I had just broached 5K before a terrible few weeks which resulted in the massive point hit fest that was this week. Ever dropping!

I decided not to go for any Chelsea players and went with McAuley this week instead of bringing in Terry. Captained Cisse also which is, so far, unfortunate but who could have predicted that Newcastle would be so bad yesterday with so much to play for. Cisse can still bang a couple in against Chelsea. Not too many at the top have Torres so I wouldn't worry about that.

Good for you man, honestly my biggest piece of advice to anyone is to go with your gut. I was planning on doing RVP -> Torres this week and was told I was mad. I then, very stupidly, completely bottled the transfer, missing out on a lovely hat trick. That was my own fault for not sticking to my guns.

the Bburn fans on here seem like nice enough people, but they're vastly outnumbered by the people who've been protesting all season unfortunately

I would love it so much if if Chelsea win the Champions League and deny Spurs a place, should they finish fourth.

    Very funny

Totenham are is so dire form. Captaining one of there players wasn't the right thing to do. Even if we get the points its luck. They don't seem like scoring 3 - 4 goals anyway. Eve seems like were better bet.

i went with bale simply beacuse rovers and wanderers let in goals for fun. he's got an assist so far, better than those who had kept faith in newc
