Chrissy Waddle &  FuzzyWarbles  versus  Doosra & Ginkapo

A rabble of hacks are all milling round in low excitement: the press conference of Ginkapo and Doosra in preview of their match with Chrissy Waddle and the legendary Fuzzy is about to start... A large number of the Grecian paparazzi are are old men, smoking roll ups, and performing a strange dance. When questioned on this, they point to one of their own, playing a strange instrument and say simply: “Zorba!”

It is the strangest thing - an Orangutan walks into the room, followed slowly, not to say reluctantly by Doosra, and his very experienced captain, Giorgos Karagounis. What follows is even stranger - Doosra points at the Orangutan, imitates firing a gun, and the ape drops dead on the spot - only to get up with what looks suspiciously like a grin. “Good Afternoon all”, says Doosra, “may I introduce my assistant, Ginkapo?” Immediately, pandemonium breaks out as some of the less experienced hacks scrabble out of the room to file this story!

“Ginkapo has been invaluable in both dietary matters and special training. Our striker, Samaras, can now hang in the air twice as long as any other human being - and certainly longer than Perquis!” continued Doosra. “Our midfield can now run faster and longer than ever before ...” He broke off, as some unruly questions were fired across the room.

Giorgos Karagounis replied: "Generally speaking, when you play in the opening match of a tournament the feeling is great."

Doosra holds up his hand: “We are going to play every which way - but loose! May I wish luck to our gracious opponents - they are certainly going to need it!” At this the Orangutan proceeded to somersault out of the room, copied move for move by Giorgos!

The Grecian paparazzi resumed their dance, and the strange conference was over.
