Games September 8

Fantasy Champions League Now Open

As many of you have already noticed, the official UEFA Champions League Fantasy game is now up and running. With Matchday 1 still 10 days away, the current break in domestic action gives us the perfect excuse to start assessing the fixtures and assembling our 15-man squads before the big kick-off:

Matchday 1 gets underway on Tuesday September 18 and the first night’s action hands City a trip to the Bernabeu to face Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid, while Arsenal are also on the travels, with Olivier Giroud returning to face his previous employers, Montpellier. Chelsea get their defence up and running the following evening with a home clash against Juventus, while United welcome Galatasaray to Old Trafford.

Once again, we shall be offering coverage across the Matchdays for those in the community who plan on participating. At the moment, we’re also considering the possibility of running with another Champions League game in conjunction but for now, here’s the official Scout League code for the UEFA Fantasy game:

Is now the time to dump Tevez?

Im not going to gain anymore price rise when he goes up again this game week, Aguero and Ballotelli look like challenging for places again against Stoke, I cant have Torres, Tevez and RVP and the Champions League is the tuesday after - Mancini was a bit of a git with his rotation this time last year.

    I just got my fingers burned with Man City strikers during the champions league stages last season, and Stoke away is followed by Real Madrid and then Arsenal at home - I cant see Tevez continuing with the same amount of game time/ goals

  I love playing as Newcastle. I get matched up with Barca all the time, and the challenge is actually fun. People who use 5 star teams tend to be horrible and rely on the rating. Stupid stuff happened in the last game I played and I won 8-5. Cisse 5 goals, Ba hat trick lol.

Speaking of playing Hernandez, I think United should try up a new formation in Cup games or easy CL games. Something like 3-2-4-1.
Ideal lineup will look something like this.

Carrick Scholes/Cleverley
Valencia Kagawa Rooney Nani/Young
RVP

Well, our full backs are useless anyway and this formation could give us serious stability in the midfield which we totally lack for now and having 3 committed defenders should also improve our defense. Ideas?

For those that haven't noticed (and that care) Football Manager 2013 has been announced officially.

New features include two new modes, a total revamp of network games and more.

As of yet, there is no release date

      I actually like the Kroos pick. He takes corners and the occasional set-piece. Box-to-box too so you'll get a few RB points.

Begovic/Juusi
Demel/Clyne/Davies/Verm/Baines
Guthrie/Michu/Hazard/Cazorla/Morrison
RVP/Tevez/Berb

With likely enough to do Cazorla>Baines next week (or other premium mid 9.4 and under).
