The Big Numbers – Gameweek 10

Another unplayable performance from Marouane Fellaini, ably supported by a string of outstanding Everton displays, lights up this weekend’s Big Numbers analysis, while the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Christian Benteke, Nicky Shorey, Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez crash the party. Here’s our choice of the key statistics on show in the Gameweek so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is Ba not going to make it next week? No idea what's going on with him but a lot of people are planning to swap him out (not sure if I'm being paranoid)

I'm still planning on getting him in. He played half the game, started the second half, came off looking disgruntled but not injured per se, and is now tweeting that he's fine.

He may miss this weekend, but it doesn't sound serious at all.

Just out of curiosity, to all the people knee-jerking Fellaini in this week, if he goes 1/2 games without doing anything will you be rushing to sell him again?

the Fellani factor is that he will probably gain four tenths if he doesn't yellow himself next game and plays two games... then folks can swap and upgrade. I don't want to trade Nolan out for him, but it is enticing.

    Evening all, slight transfer dilemma,

    A) Bale & Torres > RvP & Fellaini
    or
    B) Yaya & Torres > Roonpig & Fellaini

I reckon most will say A but I'm prefering B at the mo, any words of wisdom?

P.S No peeking at my GW score this week.... please !

Ouch tough luck this week with not a bad team, given you have Tevez for city coverage then Yaya is not needed so B sounds good. If you can live without RVP that is (I couldn't).

Has to be A, but boy is that painful at this point. If you do it, Just remind yourself of last Spring when both Bale and Torres were ice cold.

Ok so it boils down to
Yaya and RVP or Bale and Rooney.

I'm calling that at 50/50. The fact that Yaya has done nothing since week 3 is a good thing, he's long overdue some returns. RVP will just keepi doing what he's doing
Bale is consistent and will do his usual 2,2,2,12 while Rooneys statistics (if you like stats) point at returns not far off RVP's.

Sorry, its almost a waste of a reply and probably not much help to you - I cant call it!!

Alreet lads. I think i've cracked it. Been pondering all weekend how to get both RVP and Ba into my team, but couldn't come up with anything that was less than a 12 pt hit. But after last night, there is no way I want rid of Suarez, and despite Ba's injury apparently being not too serious, i'm not desperate for another toon attacker, while we are so rubbish!! So i'm thinking of downgrading bale, and upgrading defoe for a simple 4 pointer. So.........

    RVP + Knightly
    OR
    Rooney + 7.6m mid

I have to say I do fancy him for a haul against City.
Wigan were always gonna park it. He will get space v City away and that's what he needs. All his goals have come away. City are dire at the moment and look as if they have lost faith in Mancini.
The shit is stinking at City right now and they will be exposed just like in Europe, when they come up against decent teams they just struggle.

I know it will be frowned upon on these pages but I've just taken a 4 point hit to swap Pienaar for Fellani ........ it might see like a lateral move but I just don't see Pienaar scoring anywhere near the points that Fellani will.

I think Fellani will be one of the top 3 scoring Mids this year.... his stats are there to see. I'm just surprised the reluctance of people to make the move, his upside is up there with Bale and Mata which everybody was willing to take a hit for ........... but time will tell 🙂

I'm thinking that I'll save a transfer for the first time this season, do you agree?

    Begovic (QPR)....(Foster)
Baines (SUN), Boyce (WBA), Gunter (NOR)...(Davies, Demel)
Cazorla (FUL), Bale (mci), Fellaini (SUN), Nolan (whu)...(Guthrie)
Rvp (av), Ba (WHU), Tevez (TOT)

0.7m in the bank and two free transfers for GW12 will allow me to deal with Guthrie.

    Thanks....I know RMTs are boring!

I believe in Pienaar's potential...I just don't think he will score enough goals to justify having him over Fellaini at the minute. I feel sad as Pienaar was the only remaining player from my starting 15.

Disagree. Fellaini was 7.3 and will outscore Pienaar over the season by 20+. Fact is people now know, get him now for 7.0 or get him for 7.2/3 in a weeks time. TV isn't crucial but a 4 point hit, or FT, to save 0.2/3 is well worth it imho.

I think Pienaar will get plenty of assists it's whether he can get near to Fellaini's goals. I'm going to keep Pienaar, it would be tempting fate if I switched!

If Moyes puts him back left, he will get the points back.... Everton doing well but its all draws draws draws.... great for FF points but they need to get back to winning games - which for me seems to be putting Pienaar on the left and with Jelavic scoring goals. Why the fock has Jelavic stopped scoring? Will Moyes put Fellaini back into defensive mid where he has usually played? etc.

only thing beyond doubt is that he is going up in price like a rocket....

yeah I just got Walters so maybe I'll leave him for a bit

I could save up money by getting Rafael or Cazorla/Mata/Valencia but it's hard to know who to go for...basically I just feel I'm replacing a good player with another one for no particular reason

I could get a Stoke defender for Figueroa but Wigan were very close to a cleanie against West Ham

I could sell Ivanovic and also Tevez to Ba if he's gonna be fit and that way upgrade Walters to Cazorla for a hit...trouble is I'll never be able to get these players back afterwards

Yeah he is spectacularly easy to dislike.
What a proper [WORD DISALLOWED ON FFS] he is.
Compare him to Sterling who gets fouled today and falls down, then with no beat skipped, gets up and runs after ball to carry on playing: whistle goes and he gets free kick - nation thinks "what a nice lad".
Suarez falls over, whether he is tripped or not tripped or whatever, and before he even starts falling his arms are up and he is appealing to the referee. I mean FFS this is not cricket. They should bring in a rule where you get a yellow card for appealing to the referee. Like when ball goes out for a corner/goal kick, players from both sides start turning to the referee with hands up IT DRIVES ME MAD.

If it wasnt for the FF I would find it hard to keep watching football a lot of the time. What a bunch of spoiled [WORD DISALLOWED] and Suarez is their king.
