Moneyball – Djibril Cisse

Filed under: Members - Posted by: Chris Glover

The options so far in this Moneyball series have tended to be relatively obscure players from the deeper ends of the Fantasy listings, generally plying their trade among the league’s apparent lower classes and thus away from the eye of the average manager. This week’s candidate is the polar opposite of that trend as few players have the potential to garner more attention than the eye-catching and somewhat mercurial Djibril Cisse.

  1. benching berba, madness?
    my starting front 7:
    Mata Santi Bale Pineear McAnuff
    Giroud Suarez

    1. Thats a difficult one. McAnuff is the other option to bench.

    2. I'd never bench a striker. Even at home to Norwich, I'd probably bench McAnuff.

  2. Hmmm Mata and McAnuff or Oscar and Pienaar?

      1. Yeah I think so, damn it Oscar just start scoring in the PL :D Thanks Doos!

    1. Mata & McAnuff

      1. Yeah think that'll be combo, cheers Adnan!

    2. Jobi and Juan

  3. RMT please guys, haven't been on all week so know no injury/fitness problems etc...

    Begovic (Foster)
    Baines Mertesacker Gorkss (Hughes) (Cuellar)
    Bale Nolan Mata Pienaar (Kebe)
    RVP (c) Tevez Ba

    Thanks!

  4. Is order of DEF right?

    A - Baird (ars)
    B - Nelsen (sto)

    Bench
    C - Demel (new)
    D - Clyne (SWA)

    Cheers

    1. No. D C B A, imo.

      1. What this clever man said.

        1. Rightio, cheers fellas. Can't see much joy in any of these but we will see. Needs more sagna methinks

  5. Aguero as Captain against the hordes arm-banding RVP.

Confident, yet apprehensive. That Spurs defense looks shoddy and Aguero is World Class and explosive.

RVP is the man in form.

    1. I have both and not sure what to do. Might just make Mata captain

      1. I went with RVP as well, but Cazorla and Mata/Hazard would be tempting if you had them.

      1. It it Friday after all.

  6. Hate weeks like this, Mata and hazard, both massive players in my team playing against my beloved Liverpool..hope Liverpool win 3-2 with a Mata and hazard goal..lol..

  7. Bookie says Everton is the team has best chance of CS this week
    17/20 is unreal

Last results H2H at Goodison Park in EPL:
    4 - 0
    2 - 0
    2 - 0

    Baines (C) ?

    1. My little model says the same.

    2. they say never captain a defender , well for the 2nd time this season I will be not listening to that rule.. :P last time i did it with baines i came out with 22pts vs swansea away ;)

  8. As Cole and Wilson are both injured and won't play on the weekend I was thinking of one of the following:

    1) Cole->Rafael
    2)Cole->Baines
    3)Wilson->Wilkinson

Which do you think is the best? Thanks!

    1. 1, considering the fixtures. But 2 also looks good, considering Baines is never a bad player to have in your side.

  9. Good to go for this week?

    Begovic
    Baines, Rafael, Sagna
    Bale, Mata, Pienaar, Routledge
    RVP, Suarez, Berba

    Mannone, Fonte, Sterling, Demel

    1 FT.

  10. Bego
    Baines, Rafael, Ridgewell
    Hazard, Cazorla, Pienaar, Walters
    Tevez, RvP, Berba
( Jaask. Davies, Sterling, Demel )

1FT. Suggestions to this team, guys? Was maybe thinking haz to valencia. And next gw berba to ba. Thoughts?

    1. Looks good. Valencia could be a good differential if you decide to bring him in though.

  11. Heads up to anyone who still owns Fletcher but thinking of getting rid, he's due to fall tonight. You may lose value if you leave it till tomorrow.

I did Fletcher -> Berbs earlier in the week. 8)

    1. i did fletcher out, crouch in

  12. Fellaini --> Pienaar

No brainer really. Then when pienaar outscores fella, switch back. Ahead of the curve

  13. Shall I just save the transfer :?:

    Foster Bego
    Clyne Baines Rafael Demel Cameron
    Bale Nolan Pienaar Sterling Cazorla
    RVP Berbs Ba
    0.1m

    1. Bale to Mata and you are golden

  14. Who to captain this week??
    A) Crouch
    B) Lambert
    C) Hazard

  15. Need to get a cheap (

    1. Not sure what happened to the rest of my post....?

  16. Re-post as last one cut off part way through:

Need to bring in a cheap (4.5m) midfielder to replace Nolan so I can bring in RVP in the next round (will also be downgrading McAuley and Hangeland).

    My current midfield is: Mata--Caz--Bale--Fellaini--Nolan

    Any suggestions?

  17. Aguero is gona wild this week ... 2goals 1assist
