The Midweek Team News

Glen Johnson, Jose Enrique and Pepe Reina are all available for Liverpool’s trip to the Emirates on Wednesday. Vincent Kompany is set to be sidelined for around two to three weeks according to David Platt, while City’s defence was dealt another blow by the news that Matija Nastasic is a doubt for tomorrow’s trip to QPR due to a knee problem.

Carlos Cuellar, Danny Rose and Lee Cattermole are unlikely to return for Sunderland’s home clash with Swansea, though Martin O’Neill will assess the trio tomorrow. Seb Bassong and Steven Whittaker are both available for Norwich, bolstering the Canaries’ backline ahead of Tottenham’s visit on Wednesday evening.

Adam Lallana may be involved for Southampton at United, while new boy Vegard Forren could be set for a debut at centre-half. Fabian Delph is a doubt for Villa with the ankle injury that forced him off at Millwall in the FA Cup on Friday evening, though Nathan Baker is expected to return. Harry Redknapp has revealed Shaun Wright-Phillips and Junior Hoilett are doubts for QPR, while Bobby Zamora seems set for a bench spot as he builds up his fitness.

Alan Pardew confirmed earlier that Moussa Sissoko will start for Newcastle against Villa but admitted he has “tough decisions to make elsewhere” as he looks to integrate a number of new signings.

Looking to switch Fletcher to Sturridge after 2 weeks and looking to switch Bertrand to Wilson when he’s back (Which is probably around the time when Hazard gets back). How can I improve my team further? I would upgrade Fellaini to Bale but I’m coming around 0.3M short..

    Thanks for the reply mate, much appreciated. In the process of WC'ing so open to suggestions. I had Enrique before he got injured and was willing to bring him in again instead of Gibbs but Liverpool have a blank in a few Gameweeks so might just stay with Sturridge as Liverpool cover. Plus from what I've seen of Gibbs, the kid's pretty impressive going forward. Surprised he hasn't had a greater attacking return

  Downgrade Azpilicueta in my opinion. Zabaleta is the most nailed on defender at City (besides Kompany). With Terry returning to Chelsea's starting 11 Azpilicueta might not start regularly

    well who better would you pick bench fodder wise? there is kebe at 4.6 but nobody at 4.4 or less as explosive as kaca, even though he may not be nailed on, he has the potential to bang in a 10 pointer if needs must

    really? In my opinion, AJ, Fellaini, Michu and Walcott have just as much scoring potential as any of the so-called 'power 5', and kaca is decent enough bench fodder.

  yes, sunderland and stoke do not form a perfect rotation which means you have to bench a 5.x keeper every week and occasionally both of them are playing away games. Downgrade one of them and upgrade Dawson/Distin/Sagna -> Zaba

Currently have Zabaleta, Rafael, Gibbs (bought at 5.4). I am thinking of bringing in Jose Enrique, who is 0.3 less than he was before his injury. Jose has 0.4 more ppg than Rafael or Gibbs.
