For any United fans, apparently Wilfried Zaha had a stormer today for Palace, with 3 assists, prompting Holloway to say:

"In front of the England manager, I thought Wilf [Zaha] was excellent. We have a few who make a difference - he is one of them. This was as good as he has played since I have been here.

"He is literally as good as any chef I have seen, and he has roasted their full-backs all day and they will be glad to see the back of him."

Slightly off topic but do news agencies in the UK charge to use their websites? Newspaper sales around the world are plummeting because viewing News online is easier. Was wondering if charging for news online has been effective

yeah and it will never become widespread in the UK because the BBC will always be free because they are publicly funded and the Guardian will always stay free as they run at a loss subsidized by a charitable foundation.

very few do, think the times is maybe the only major one. new york times has done it though recently, and seemingly it's been pretty successful, so we may see more following their model.

The Times is the only one I can think of, all other agencies have their online content for free. However pretty much all the major newspapers charge a subscription fee for their iPad apps.

Times are changing. I guess it would make sense for all major news agencies to charge online as well. Then people will be forced to pay for news one way or another.

Just don't like getting players with a hint of rotation and Dzeko for me is far less nailed on than Kun. I'm probably judging his prospects too much on last season when he was very explosive and hoping for that to re-emmerge again.

He'll play a part in every game. At his price he's the best option of City's strikers I think. Will have to see how Mancini's comments the other day affect things though.

The thinking is that they'll be highlighted in the thread and flagged in a sidebar widget. You can also "View Stickies" in a thread which will filter and only show those comments flagged as sticky.

There's bits and pieces across various sites - I know that Eurogamer delete comments when they reach a threshold of negative votes but I don't think that system also has a rep score governing the impact of individual votes.

The majority of England's home international games (and large domestic cup games) were played there before Wembley re-opened, so it wouldnt be a new thing having football there.

With this new comments system and its "+1" and "-1" voting up/down system, I wonder if people will be able to see who has voted their comments up or down? I hope not as this could lead to a lot of bad blood. I hope the new system doesn't lead to "cliquiness" (if that's a word)

Have a look at stack overflow's comment system...It should be something like that. So many factors come to play, it eventually balances out. Don't worry, I really think it will be fine.

My only worry about this commenting system is that the RMT will be downvoted really fast...This system will not help casuals (non-regulars)......Basically if you post regarding an RMT, people will reply, but when some gravless guy does it, he may not even get a reply. It will be down-voted so fast.

some sort of poll feature might help that so instead of a full RMT people could ask specific questions and I imagine regulars would be more willing to respond to a poll then a plain text question.

Lots of pseudo-rmt's are phrased in a poll type way though, with the "vote A for x player/combination of players, B for Y player/combination of players, and these tend to get answered quite a lot, people just aren't bothered reading full RMT's a lot of the time, especially when pages are moving so fast.

I agree - but these are more helpfull anyway. Whenever I reply to a RMT I end up telling people to make wholesale changes - which is rarely usefull as they probably only have 1FT, so a poll type question make mores sense.

When things change on a board or forums some welcome it some don't want the change, providing they are user friendly changes and they make sense for being introduced most get used to the changes.

The changes are there to make it a better place in general otherwise their wouldn't be need for any change at all.

Why does everyone so meticulously keep count of exactly how long Arsenal have gone without a trophy?

It doesn't happen with any other team.

Ps. Remember, when you get out of the water you need to dry off right away to avoid catching a cold. That's why Towelie says, don't forget to bring a towel.

Don't have a really brilliant striker though. I think they need that. Defensively need a few tweaks too. The midfield is their real strength, not enough to win trophies though.

Read a fascinating report about Benoit actually. Autopsy showed that years of trauma to his brain had left it in the same condition as an 85 year old with Alzheimer's. It was absolutely destroyed, could have been roid rage or a very serious attack of dementia.

Jericho talks in depth about it in "undisputed". Watched his interviews afterwards too. Jericho was one of his best friends but feels like he hardly knew him.
On a side note, Jericho appears to be a real top guy. Huge respect for how he dealt with the whole benoit thing and still does
