Another classy display from Santi Cazorla sees the Spaniard lead the way in this week’s ICT Index figures, holding off the charge from West Ham’s Andy Carroll and Sunday’s efforts from Luis Suarez. As always, our members are free to investigate all the Opta data from around this weekend’s matches in our members area. However, we’ve put in some leg work on their behalf, picking out the numbers that piqued our interest, whilst pointing out some statistical trends over the last four and six Gameweeks.
For those of you with wild cards, gw32 or 33?
Open ControlsSo what are Sturridge owners doing?
Open Controlscrying and leaning towards a swap for giroud tonight
Open Controls- Open Controls
don't tell me this is giroud?!
cannot be the same giroud that plays for arsenalOpen ControlsCertainly is! This ain't bad either - http://www.fanfoot.com/video/70/Superbe-but-d-olivier-Giroud

keep...he'll start agains the hammers
(i guess)Open Controls
Even when RVP does not score, he assists or gets 3 Baps! 🙂
Open ControlsHe gets 3 baps every week - must be written into his contract

Name players you must own for GW33 despite they don't have DGW!!
Open Controlshow bad is rafael's injury?
could smalling be a potential DGW bargain?Open ControlsRVP last fixtures:
QPR(A) 2-0 NOR(H) 4-0 RDG(H) 1-0 SUN(A) 1-0
RVP pts in those fixtures:
4, 5, 2, 7.
Ouch. No double haul and no goal in those. I can't even imagine Suarez having so few pts in that kind of a fixture listOpen ControlsWhilst I think PDC could manage to light a fire up Sunderland I still don't know how exactly he will change it around. The squad there without Fletcher just doesn't have goals in them for me. Graham moved for geographic convenience, Wickham is raw but could be the answer. They have no drive in CM without Cattermole either.
Open ControlsI quite like Colback as a CM, and Wickham may do well if he has some confidence shown in him
Open Controls
@Daniel
Look at the fixtures for the DGW teams in 32. They are not great. For example I'll likely lose Suarez when I wc, but he has a home game v West Ham in 32 as opposed to Berba who plays Newcastle away and Anichebe who plays Spurs away.
So, aside from the extra ability to plan due to knowing who is injured etc, a wc in 33 means that my team is in a much better state for GW32, and from the look of it none of the players I want will rise this week, but 1 or 2, Theo. Fellaini for example may fall.
I'm no longer sure the extra FT that a GW32 wc could give is worth a lower score in 32. An extra -4 is neither here nor there, but I'd expect my current team to outscore my wc by more than 4 in GW32.Open ControlsHmmm... Let me re think will reply.
Open ControlsWell I am not so sure losing Suarez even with the double is a good thing. Only if he gets that 10th YC.
Your team GW 32 without WC:
Rooney Suarez (c) Remy - so far so good.
Santi Bale Michu Sissoko (Snod)
Your defense is awful. I presume with WC you could add around 10pts for your defense only.
Will post again tomorrow. I think if Che end up having double you will have to make a WC. If Utd have you could survive another week IMO.
And for what money you have Suarez? I think don't lose him even in a WC (10 YC aside)
Lets talk tomorrow after the game. I still stand by the option playing WC in 32 because is gonna be high scoring gameOpen ControlsIf I want Baines i can not afford to keep Suarez, Rooney and Bale
Given Rooney will have a DGW at some point, and Bale is pretty much undroppable it comes down to Suarez v Baines
A Baines DGW winsOpen ControlsWrong. Suarez is better than Baines
Open Controlsmaybe you're right, maybe you're not.
For me I'm also keen to be rid of Pool players, I can't stomach wanting them to do well anymore.
I am pretty set on losing Suarez either way, he makes getting the rest of my DGW team too difficult
If it weren't for the DGWs and a wc I doubt I'd sell him, but at this point in the season a DGW or 2 can be a huge rankings boost. I'd rather have 8 or 9 DGWers for this and 10 in 36 and no Suarez than 6 or 7 in each and SuarezOpen Controls
It looks as if quite a few on here actually agree with my thoughts on the Di Canio appointment.
IMO it's the right choice. They have 7 games to save themselves, and to completely transform into a side who look completely bereft of ideas, quality and creativity into a side who can win 3 games between now and the end of the season. They really do need extreme action and Di Canio will go in, pumped up, and put some much needed heart and desire into the club.Open ControlsI said on here last night that its a move they had to make (sacking MON).
Irrespective of who they got in charge the way they were going they looked unlikely to do anything other than go down with a whimper up until this evening.
At least now they've given themselves a chance at the shot in the arm they will need to stay up. Personally, I think the fixture list will be too much for them to overcome but at least they have a fighting chance now.
Under MON they were as good as down.Open ControlsThe Squad is poor - players are other clubs "dont wants" and no matter who is a boss getting that lot to out perform many of the EPL clubs will be very difficult.
MON knew the players & tried to play a certain way - which as a neutral, I would honestly prefer to watch Stoke.
Di Canio is a passionate, egotistical buffon - he could keep them up or could cause club to implode.
I dont think their survival will have anything to do with Di Canio, more to do with the clubs below them.Open Controls
alan shearer was brought in to do the same..
Open Controls
Please Chelsea win tomorrow!
I already have my three transfers for only one hit ready -
Frederici Davies and mata out
DDG Sagna and Fellini in
Done.
Now win!!Open ControlsSunderland are going down aren't they? As if 3 out of their next 4 games being away from home (with a game against Villa to round it off) wasn't bad enough, they've gone and appointed a total and absolute nutter as their manager!
Sunderland to be relegated 9/5 with Corals?? Yes please!Open ControlsStoke and Southampton at home. I think we've got a hell of a chance of staying up personally.
Open ControlsFixtures are tough but the form is more worrying.
I can see, at best, 2 pts out of those 2 games you mentioned and that won't help you much.Open ControlsWe shall see in 7 games, should be an interesting battle.
Open ControlsThis is why they play the games though.
We all think we know what will happen but until the fixtures get played all we can do is guess.
For all we know Norwich and Stoke might end up going down and Sunderland go on a winning streak and stay up with games to spare.Open Controls
What is th difference between manager and head coach?
Open ControlsRodriguez attacking numbers excellent. Good fixtures.
Confidence high. Reading next. Cheap.
Reasonable swap for Studge and frees up some cash.
Am i missing something. Cant afford to face uncertainty with a fwd starting or not.Open ControlsSunderland, Villa and Stoke all looking dodgy yet I'm really starting to fear for Norwich 🙁
Open ControlsStoke and Norwich may have enough points already to allow for their suckiness the rest of the way in now.
Sunderland and Villa most definitely are in it though.Open ControlsHows things man?
Have you lost all hope with your lot?Open ControlsI'm OK, Knight.
I have actually started believing in them in the last few weeks since the performances have picked up. I would take a point tomorrow as Fulham is a tough place to go to win but 3 points would put us right back in the mix.
I think there are more twists and turns to come yet though and I genuinely believe someone is going to go down who hasn't been in the bottom 3 yet this season.Open ControlsGood to hear.
4 of your 8 left look "winnable" and picking up the odd 1 like tomorrow could see ye go along way. It certainly isn't done and dusted. Best of luckOpen Controls
Di Canio, hahahahahahha

coutinho seems great but is rotation not a risk? surely sturidge will come back into the team and that leaves coutinho and downing at risk of being rotated.I think that henderson could also drop out but I think that liverpool are better with henderson on.
Open Controlsso what tho?
Open Controlswell it was Henderson, not Coutinho who played instead of Sturridge today
Open ControlsHe's quality. Probably Henderson or Lucas dropped to put Coutinho as AM rather than front 3. His passing is class. If they play like today Sturridge dropped wouldn't make me unhappy either.
Open Controlsbut you saw sturridge against city right?
Open ControlsYeah, he was and is class. But I think a team playing so well as today shouldn't be disrupted. If it was me I'd drop Henderson, put Coutinho ahead of Gerrard and Lucas, using his great passing to supply Downing and Suarez and have Sturridge up top.
Open Controlsa bit attacking though
Open Controls
So.. Fabianski nailed on now?
Open ControlsI can't resist that Kit Kat Egg any longer...
Goodbye belt, see you in 2 days 👿Open Controlsi'd rather go down than having a fascist as manager
Open Controlswhy in next week we have tottenham - everton at 14:05? why the 5minutes?
Open ControlsAs di Canio is a Fascist, perhaps he thinks he's been hired to run the Sudetenland.
(One of the most breathtakingly stupid managerial appointments in recent times, I think.)Open ControlsVery nice PB.... well not really but you know what I mean 😉
Open ControlsWhat a load of rubbish. Politics don't matter in football, stop being so hyperbolic.
Open Controlsbeing fascist isn't a political view....it's a crime
Open ControlsHolding beliefs, however repugnant, is not a crime, and shouldn't be a crime.
Open ControlsCriminal or not it does matter in football - a sport which has harboured racism and homophobia and is still struggling to remove these behaviours shouldn't be allowing anybody who holds these views into a position of authority. Although I think PDC's views are somewhat more complex than him just being a fascist.
Open ControlsAs far as I know, he's never been convicted (in court or by footballing authorities) of any racism or homophobia.
Open ControlsFascism is near synonymous with racism and homophobia. Even if he isn't supporting those view he's supporting a party which does by in large support that.
Open Controls@Scroobius - I completely disagree with his fascist politics, I was just pointing out to Phil above that it is not a crime to *think* anything.
Open Controls
So you think someone with a certain belief should not be allowed to work in football. Do you not see the irony of this being quite a fascist view!?
Open Controls
No, having a certain view is not a crime, unless you think life really is like 1984. It is an extreme political view that I personally completely disagree with, as do many Sunderland supporters not surprisingly. This is irrelevant to me though, this is football not politics.
If Di Canio is a disgrace, then what about people that actually are criminals, such as racist players, Suarez among them.Open Controlsyou just try to justify his appointment
as i said before being fascist isn't political for me..
lol @ the 2nd part...how old are you?Open ControlsIs Suarez not a racist? Not sure why you appear to be fine with that, seems a bit hippocritical to me.
Open ControlsSuarez's issues are so far removed from Di Canio. Di Canio has openly and publicly expressed his love for Mussolini and fascist politics. Don't get me wrong Suarez is not a nice lad, but Di Canio promotes his views. I'm glad he is no where near my club.
One racially abused a player.
One supports and promotes fascism and wouldn't apologise for the use of the fascist salute on multiple occasions at matches.Open Controls
Of course they matter in Football. They matter in every single walk of life, work, football, home, cinema, music.
I really hope Sunderland go down after this appointmentOpen Controls
😆
Open ControlsLol
Open Controls
and that plus Santi will play in both games subject to no injuries
Open Controls
Things are so quiet on here that I had to check to see if there was a new post or not. 😕
Open ControlsPredictions on what we can expect from Di Canio's Sunderland?
I'm predicting them to be strong on the right wing.Open Controls*tumbleweed*
Open Controls- Open Controls
Prediction for the team tomorrow?
I'm going with
DDG
Smalling, Evans, Rio, Evra
Carrick, Cleverley
Nani, Rooney, Giggs
Hernandez
Welbeck could factor in of course.Open Controls
Whilst it's quiet...
I am playing (very badly) FIFA 13 UT. I am a complete n00b. I won the Amateur 1st Div but have not been promoted to semi-pro Div 5 or whatever comes next. Do I have to change this manually? If so, how?Open ControlsI presume this is offline play?
Open ControlsIn UT there are five online divisions (1-5). You start off at 5. If you have won your first division, it means you'll be promoted to Div 4 automatically.
Open ControlsYup... but I am playing as an amateur and have won Div 1. How to I progress to Div 5 as a semi pro? I've looked at all the settings I can but can't work it out. Google doesn't seem to help. Surely I;m not stuck as an amateur for my whole career?... although that would be fitting 🙂
Open ControlsI'm sorry Vets, but I really don't have a clue what you're talking about. I haven't played UT in a few months, maybe they've changed the system.
Sorry.Open Controls

Millibands left sunderland's board because of Di canios political views
