thing is since his return from injury, it's coincided with Gabby and Weimann being out. That being said, he is still getting shots off in the box (a key stat for a striker like Benteke). He did look much more threatening in the 2nd half against WBA. The stats also don't lie that Tekkers plays better with the 2 starting with him.
I agree with your points, that the Villa attack has been relatively dull despite 4 goals in last 2 games. ars is quality and have been showing their resilience lately. chesney has taken a step forward influencing their overall quality in the back and their dominance of midfield possession seem to me a recipe to breed future cleans. i like mert through thick and thin, no team has impeccable fixtures week in week out, and assuming you have a quality enough bench you can sit him when necessary. he is also always a threat on set pieces so could start through a poor fixture regardless.Open Controls
