Fantasy Football Scout Hall of Fame Updated

Over the last couple of days, we’ve updated both the Career Hall of Fame and the Live version for members. The Career version now includes all new additions to the Fantasy Football Scout leagues and is viewable to all via this link or the top menu “HoF” link. This table will be updated every week with new entrants.

The Hall of Fame is a ranking system which we apply to everyone in our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. Essentially, it tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a “HoF rating” accordingly.

The “Live” version of the Hall of Fame, available to our Members, has been updated to include points earned in Gameweek 20. This will be updated with the latest rankings 24 hours after the conclusion of every Gameweek from this point on.

If you’re wondering what the Hall of Fame is all about, you can read below for a quick guide. Alternatively, you can view this movie to listen to Mark and Rate My Team’s Chris Atkinson talk you through it.

Live Hall of Fame Top 10

In the meantime, we thought we’d run the rule over those at the top following the update:

Site moderator Evs is the new number one in the Live Hall of Fame. Having finished fifth overall last year, he looks poised for yet another incredible season – he currently sits on 1,298 points, which is enough to earn him 1,846th spot overall with another 18 Gameweeks to go.

Ulrik Nylnad sits in second spot. His consistency over the past seven seasons in staggering – in six of those years, he’s finished inside the top 2,100, with his “worst” performance back in 2011/12, where he ended in 7,729th spot overall. Ulrik is currently situated around the 46,000 mark but with such an impressive history, you’d expect him to push on again.

Derek Simpson takes third spot. He ended last year in 38th position overall and has finished inside the top 4,000 in five of the last six seasons – at present, he’s just inside the 100,000 mark but has plenty time to make his mark.

In fourth, Rob Pitt has finished inside the top 1,000 in two of the last three years and is nicely poised around the 12K mark, whilst Chris Denbeigh is set for another outstanding season. He has top beaten the 2,5000 mark in six of the previous seven years and is currently situated in 2,559th spot overall.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Atiq Rahman is the highest of our featured managers in this season’s overall standings. A score of 1,304 points has helped him climb to 1,337th position – boosting his chances of finishing inside the top 5,000 for the sixth time in seven years. Pascal Evans has managed a top 1,000 finish in five of the previous seven but, currently sitting in 152,350th overall, has a task on his hands to repeat that feat.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier League mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2012/13 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2007/08. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (1580-1106), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area. If you wish to get access to the live version, you can sign up as a member. Click here for details on upgrading your account or signing up.

Hello DZ, waiting for some work emails to come in so I'll hang with y'all...

who wants to rate my current team?

    Mannone (Lewis)
    Coleman, Mert, Burner (Ward, Chester)
Silva, Hazard, Walcott (c), Sterling (Ki)
    Suarez (v), Negredo, Rooney

considering Lallana/Eriksen and/or Adebayor next week after the Capital One Cup matches..have 1 FT and 2.5m..probably will WC on the 11th, maybe 18th

        atm considering this

keep: Coleman, Mert, Ward, Chester, Silva, Hazard, Walcott, Suarez

Mannone, potentially keep or > Boruc
Lewis > Davis (especially if I get Boruc) or maybe cheapie rotating keep depending
        Burner > Zab
        Sterling > Gerrard/Eriksen/Lallana
Ki > Mutch/other cheapie in that range
        Negredo > JRod/Adebayor
        Rooney > Kun

regarding Kun, going to just monitor on TotalFPL..don't think he'll rise anytime soon unless he randomly features against West Ham and plays well/most of the game

potentially WCing on the 11th as I think the most transfers will happen between GWs 21 and 22 or between 22 and 23

    Mannone Marshall
    Baines Kosc Chester Ward M.Olsson
    Hazard Silva Walcott Gerrard Mutch

Like it very much Innsie. Especially Baines. I reckon he would outscore Goleman easily this later part of season.
Is the Chester/Ward/Molson part of your 3 man rotation?

Having the same dilemma between JRod Gerrard vs Lallana Lukaku right here. Will monitor JRod's form this month

Yeah I'd love to have Baines for the rest of the season. I want to avoid doubling up on SUN/CAR and those 3 cheapies rotate pretty well, so I'll probably stick with them.

I find J.Rod's price awkward - too cheap to play every week but too expensive to bench! It's a tough one, I'll be monitoring too. Thanks for the reply Koflok.

GW 23 for me. Do it on the 11th if you think your team is not setup for the 3 big team fixtures on GW 22.

I got enough in Hazard Silva Yaya Merte Suarez Adebayor. If I WC would probably pile up Zaba and Sturridge over Lukaku and Gabbi (STO). Don't think it's worth the WC.

well I think part of it is if you're playing to make an extra .2-.4m then you have to think when most people will activate..I think people are leaning towards mid-to-late..so it's just a question of whether that is the 11th or 18th 😆

like the Gerrard pick tbf, Liverpool have a great set of fixtures second half of the season.. (only 1 away against top 6)

also like the JRod pick, his ppg is crazy and I think he's pretty nailed on as it transitioned from Lambert to him..really do think if his price was 8+ more people would own him on that basis alone haha

    Speroni Davis
    Kosc Coleman Bardsley Burner Nasty
    Walcott Hazard Silva Lallana Mutch
    RVP Suarez Bony

*RVP is just a 1-2 week punt until Aguero's back
Bony can also be Ade / JRod / etc, would like a 3rd striker punt every now and then.
Speroni until Boruc's back then it's 1 GK all the way.

Like it a lot. Bony could be gold with his fixtures after the next couple of weeks. I'm tempted by the double SOT goalies as well but I think Chester is an absolute bargain at 3.9 with Hull's excellent home defence, so I can't fit Bardsley/a SUN def in. Maybe get Brown over Bardsley? He hogs the baps. You're gonna be tempted to play 4 defenders most weeks with the SUN/CAR fixtures!

I know benching dilemma for me but a decent one that. Brown's definitely an alternative esp if my budget is tight (probably gonna be is).

Nasty GW 23 & 24 are shite and so is Kosc 25 & 26 so pretty much those 4 weeks I may be able to bench them. But I don't know we'll see.

I'm actually tempted to downgrade Nasty and get Gerrard JRod as well. It's a monitor situation for me. JRod vs Bony form

Definitely agree with this, also it doesn't make sense how people use price as a factor for selecting their XI, I see people saying "You don't want £7mill player on the bench", but you've got to play form/fixtures over pricing every week

exactly. JRod's a perfect example, form and fixtures both look great and price is a steal..if he keeps it up he'll be priced just under or just over 8 next season (and if Southampton make some nice signings)

      True this.

7th in FWD spot and only ~6m price. A bargain.

Flat track bully and SOT's opponent next are mostly bottom 10

Not that I'd base my whole planning on it, but RMT is telling me to do my WCT for GW22, big hike in points if I hold fire for a week then pull the trigger. Means absolutely nothing but it's nice to have something else to invest a bit of opinion in

Yes the main reason for GW 22 WC is for the big teams fixture. If you got plenty of Arsenal, City and Liverpool in your team already I don't see the point of WCing.

I reckon if you got somewhere between 5-7 you should be fine.

    C. Guarin (8.0)
    D. Tom Ince (6.0)
    E. Diego Costa (11.0)
    F. Eliaquim Mangala (5.5)

Thoughts on my draft wc team in gw24. Playing 3/5/2.

    Boruc, Davis
    Coleman, Mert, Terry, Chester, Baker
Hazard, Walcott, Y. Toure, Cabaye, Eriksen
    Suarez, Aguero, Berahino

Would you go Terry or Kompany or is Terry the better option regardless of fixtures. In gw24 Chelsea play Man C away. From gw25 Man C has better fixtures than Chelsea.
Would you go Boruc or Mannone. I've gone for doulble Sou gk & fixtures are great. But will Mannone get more save points. Who do you guys reckon will score more out of the 2.

    Thanks.

I'd say that too much money in defence is forcing you into getting Bera, whereas you could always do Terry > Azpi and Mert > Sagna/Kosc and even Toure > Silva and that'll free up £3mill+ to turn Bera into JRod/Ade?

      Just a thought

Here's a nice goalie stat to think about whilst we all contemplate our WC options

GW 1-10 season ticker > sort by difficulty...Soton come out top with the easiest fixtures...6 CS's

GW 11- 20 season ticker > sort by difficulty...Soton come out bottom with the hardest fixtures...1 CS

GW 21- 30 season ticker > sort by difficulty...Soton come out top with the easiest fixtures...? CS

Boruc and Davis over all other combo's...and by far the cheapest option !!

Got to be the way forward..I've looked at all those home and away combos..none of them really stand up to scrutiny...Cardiff and Sunderland are just as likely to keep CS away from home as at home....historically anyway...Soton are much better defensively with a good run of fixtures, it's just very odd how they had the easiest 10 games by far followed by the hardest...and then back again.

He should be second choice to Boruc when he comes back...so Boruc/Davis double up at that point...Mannone/Davis works well until then

The good thing about Southampton this year is their streak.

GW 31 onwards they got crappy fixture.

With that in mind, investing in Boruc is the way to go. Which is my plan
