Open ControlsLet me put it this way, since he's broken into the team (he's there to stay), he's scored 4.8 ppg. Lallana has 4.9 ppg and is a machine this season. Sterling is an 8m mid for peanuts.
Open ControlsDon't forget he broke into the team last season too for a couple of months and lost his place. Rodgers stated he lacked the condition to play week in, week out and maintain his performance. So now to see him play a combined total of 90 minutes in his last 2 concerns me a bit.
Open ControlsThat was when he broke into the team as a 17-year-old though. He's a completely different player this season – a lot fitter and stronger. He broke down last season as he was only young and had to play 10 Europa league games as well as the PL and Cup games. Now he has none of those worries, just once a week. Those minutes were a result of a tactical change to try and counter the strong midfields of Swansea and Southampton. I'd expect Coutinho to be dropped instead from now on as he's been very ordinary of late.
