The final two fixtures of Gameweek 34 arrive this evening. Everton and Palace both have plenty to play for at Goodison – an eighth straight win for the hosts would take them back above Arsenal in the race for fourth, whilst a victory for Palace would take Tony Pulis’ side onto the 40-point mark. City are desperate to bounce back from Sunday’s loss at Liverpool – the visit of basement-dwellers Sunderland affords them the chance to rack up a fifteenth home win in 16 attempts:

The big news from the Etihad is that David Silva has been omitted from City’s squad altogether. With Yaya Toure sidelined due to a groin injury and Edin Dzeko dropping to the bench, Sergio Aguero will carry the hopes of many into this evening’s encounter against a Black Cats side beset with injuries, suspension and illness. Over at Goodison, Romelu Lukaku – leader of last week’s Captain Poll – is looking to recover from Saturday’s unexpected blank at Sunderland.

    If an outfield player had to go in goal for whatever reason would they earn points for a penalty save or even regular save points when they aren't classified as a 'keeper?

      hope so.
      fear the answer is no though, for example like a midfielder playing in defence and getting a clean sheet.

      I think so
      A Swansea player ( I think Rangel) got 1 save in FPL stats earlier this season when Vorm was sent off, but he didn't complete 3 saves.

        I believe you're right (Although I think that was last season), so I think it's be fair to assume they'd get penalty saving points and 6 for scoring also 🙂

    Uruguayan Poyet, very wrong in keeping argentinian Scocco in the bench. Same move as when he kept AJ on the bench for several games.obviosuly now AJ starts.

    as a pt of ref, Scocco was the lead league goal scorer in argentina twice, both in the 2012-2013 time interval with Newells old boys and leading them to win arg league.

        apple: tough. Given sun needs to try escape relegation, poyet not using scocco is something very strange. ive lived in brasil at times, and argentina and uruguay do not like each other. not sure if something's there, just cannot imagine u not playing the best player for neweels old boys who won twice the championship , scocco being the best player. Maxi who was w/ liverpool also plays for newells and he said it himself for scocco.

        Genuine injury, or genuine chance for injury? Silva has been the reason for city continuing to challenge, and home or not, sunderland are their bogey team. He came off at 76 mins against southampton, and lately doesn't seem like he's tired, and i don't get what you mean about being played more this season...at least in the league..he's played 1927 minutes and in the other seasons ended with 2500/2800 mins..
