We delve into the data once again this evening and assess some of the standout statistics over the weekend gone by. Arsenal’s fit-again midfielder, Chelsea’s Brazilian schemer, Sunderland, Swansea and West Ham’s frontmen, Palace’s defence and Everton’s raiding right-back are amongst our main topics this time around:

Haven't owned Ramsey this year. As an Arsenal supporter do I leave him alone out of superstition or do I bring him in now for a bit of the glory myself?

Cannot quite justify Ox or Ozil.

I have the armband on Podolski and the VC on Ramsey, so I agree with your rankings, more or less. Of course, it's only Tuesday.....things could change, so perhaps I'll change it around a smitten. Probably not, though. I'm likin' the way I got it.

If you have an FT, I'd do Lallana -> Nasri by next week and possibly Coleman to Demichelis.

They'd be the main moves to eye in my opinion.

Ft was Silva > Ramsey. So I dunno reluctant to lose Lallana for -4.

Like the sound of the defensive move. I'd be more inclined to move Baines. Coleman is a diff vs a rival time to move away from similar players.

definitely not worth either for a hit this week so I'd stick with what you have, its solid.

          Next week re-evaluate those moves.

I do fancy Baines over Coleman (regardless of your rival) based on their attacking outputs (use the comparison tool in the Members area for those two over the last 6, 4 and 2 weeks) but if Coleman scores against Saints and Baines blanks I'm sure the argument will swing in the other direction.

    Hey y'all,

    hope you're all well.

Just seen the price changes and i think holding dilv will just see money lost for nothing. It looks like he'll be out for 2-3 weeks and that makes the DGW an unlikely source of points for him.

    Might as well shift now.

I've already made a pair of transfers (getting Rooney and Rambo for Luka and Sterling)

Do i absorb another -4 for Mata or should i be looking elsewhere?

not too fussed about it, but its a waste if i am almost certainly selling him later.

The latest on him is 2-3 weeks, and they are normally pretty optimistic (Yaya was supposed to be a quick one, Aguero was 'almost ready' for weeks).

I am pretty set on him being done for the season FPL-wise so why wait?

You wait in case a player gets hurt in training or has the flu or whatever...

TV is a nonfactor so just wait until the deadline to make sure you won't have to take an unnecessary hit.

With your TV & current rank:
          .3mil is meaningless
          -4pts is huge

I was thinkin' Welbeck might just get ample time myself. He's always good for a brace every now and again. Could be a cheeky punt with payoff. But, I'd probably chicken on that and get Roon or Mata instead.

      B) As you're taking a hit to bring in two DGW players.
Also, Rooney has potential to be a 2B2 captain's pick the next two weeks which makes the hit even easier to justify for me...

    More bloomin injuries!!

Would you take a hit for a defender if you had this lot?

    Terry - injured
    Distin - injured
    Williamson - arsenal away
    Chester - fulham away
    Baines - sot away

Bank 4.1m so can afford anyone, although would ideally like to leave enough cash for Punch -> Yaya/Nasri next week. My Punch sale price is 5.3m.

Thinking a hit is in order and most likely Distin/Terry -> Evra/Demi/Alonso.

    Thoughts?

      Looks good.
Ward vs Azpi for the first sub is a toss-up.

I got rid of Lallana for a few reasons. First, playing against Baines & Coleman is shooting yourself in the foot somewhat (I have Baines & Coleman, too). But more importantly, Southampton have looked rather toothless and have lacked urgency. I can't see him getting anything against Everton. But still, not worth a -4 at this point.

Yeah Ward vs. Azpi is hard to decide. I think Ward will be my first sub for attacking potential. I want to get rid of Lallana but I'm keeping him in because if I take him out for a -4 and he scores that would be awful (considering I have Baines and Coleman in my team). I think I'll take out Lallana for Eriksen next week. We'll see though.

So I am planning to do Silva, Ki and Lukaku –> Ramsey, Nasri and Rooney over the next two weeks.

Obviously Ramsey is coming in this week for sure, but which of the other two do I do this week? If I bring in Rooney then I have to play Salah or Azpilicueta (as well as Ivanovic). If I bring in Nasri then I can bench Salah, but I don't think he has the potential of Rooney... I also only have 0.2m leeway in value if that affects anything.

So which on of these this week for a hit?

    a) Ki –> Nasri
    b) Lukaku –> Rooney

Nasri and Lukaku gives you two players that could push double figures if you're lucky. I don't think salah will start and we know what azpi has coming. So it's 2 good picks vs 1 great and 1 shit the way I see it

Chances are that Distin won't play. Go for Kolarov, or at least ensure he comes in for the auto-sub.
The rest looks fine. Lambert vs Snodgrass is debatable. Consider that Everton may not have either of their first-string centre-backs. But ManU might be in disarray, so Snodgrass could do well.

Getting Hart has been a disaster. I thought at the time (before dgw34) that it was brilliant. But my other keeper (Mannone) has outscored him consistently. The problem is that I can't really gey rid of him anymore, as there are more pressing moves, and would not be worth a -4. Poor management.

So, play Hart (cry) or Mannone (CAR)??
I've consistently got this wrong the last few weeks...

Jones doesn't like RB and Smalling is rubbish there (in an attacking sense). If not Rafael I'd like to see Valencia bomb forward from deep. It might even allow Mata to play as a RW and having licence to come into the middle if Giggs prefers Rooney at 10.

Why wouldn't united want Roberto Mancini?

Knows united well, city better, proven in the league, something to prove in the champions league, huge rivalry with Jose...

It's the best hire they could make outside one of the happily employed PSG, Madrid, Beyern, or Dortmund managers...

If Carlos loses CL, he'll probably jump ship... But Mancini would be far more interesting!
