With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

    I got Cahill, Jones, Coloccini, Naylor and Wisdom and 0.5 ITB.
    Should I bring in Kaboul and if I should, who should I get rid of, Colo or Naylor ?

    Thoughts on Wilshere? Could be this years Ramsey at just 6.5 although there are rumours he'll be gradually replacing Arteta this season which would push him to the FPL useless CDM posiiton?

        Fixture won't be easy for Everton, but otherwise why not? Could have more freedom at the start considering Lukaku and Mirallas not in the form?

      I wouldn't personally triple up on United attack but with young being so cheap and no-one else looking great in that bracket it could pay off.

      The rest looks pretty balanced.

    I actually think Bardsley will get a run of games. He has impressed pre-season and I think Cameron will either have to wait or compete for a game at CB or def midfield.

        4-3-3 depending on how Bojan starts out but potentially yes.

        Thoughts on Sturridge over costa? Did have Eriksen and siggy, but I couldn't go into this week without Rambo

          I dont really know where Rodwell plays or how affective he will be in FPL terms.

          Maybe Davis, Southampton have good fixtures. He got 2 Goals 7 Assists and 11 clean sheets last year BUT new manager who knows what could happen.

        Find a way to squeeze 0.5 to get Dzeko.
        Then you can always move sideways to Bony, Giroud etc

    People are generally advising not to have city players at the start right? Am I mad for choosing navas over lamela? Or should I shift my team about to pick Lamela?

      if you dont have sturridge, sterling is probably the best liverpool cover option. Expect him to have a big season

    Diego Costa (C), Giroud (Vaz Te)

    Logic - Stacked my midfield with two good linchpins down back, originally had Sturridge/Costa but went with Giroud cause cheaper and let me get Hazard instead of Schurrle and Terry instead of Felipe Luis, running 3-5-2 to get the benefit of my midfield, was tossing up between Gerrard and Silva and eventually went with Gerrard for consistency. Picked Jedinak because I am Australian and he gets alot of game time.

      GK: Everton are notoriously slow starters with relatively tough fixtures
      DEF: Bertrand will play over Targett. Baines- see above.
      MID: Gerrard is an unpopular pick because of the better alternatives for his price. Jedinak won't get you any points; for 5m you could get an OOP Hoilett for example.I'd downgrade Yaya and spread the cash over the side.

        My subs dont count for points im assuming? unless the starters dont play? i am pretty happy with Everton maining my defence, if they do start slow it will mean Baines and Howard will be getting lots of action haha. Would you prefer Silva to Gerrard? what other options? and i tried swinging to offload Yaya to upgrade Jedinak but nothing was worthwhile losing yaya for

          Read the rules on points scoring. You don't want your defence to have action they lose points. Evertons fixtures are not good. Jedinak is awful and loads of options (too many) below the over-priced Yaya.

      Doubling up on Everton's defence doesn't seem logical given the fixtures.

          Kolarov is also a rotation risk. If you are looking for secured starts then he isnt your man. But if your looking for a risky differential then why not!

                  No chelsea attack either. That could haunt you.

                  You could upgrade azpi to terry/cahill
                  Swap begovic to ddg to cover man utd instead of jones and have a 4.0 gk as well. (Only if you dont mind playing ddg every week)
                  Then downgrade jones maybe?

                  That covers both man utd and chelsea defences with a higher chance of starters.

                    I actually used to have ddg but I sold him so I can have Rooney and mata and jones. I'd be fun playing him for the next 8-10 weeks at least. I just like bego b/c of his fixtures but I'll take that into consideration

    I've had Jelly in quite a few of my drafts as Hull have got decent fixtures, and Bojan doesn't take my fancy. I'll transfer out Chambers and get whatever Stoke 4.5 is playing (probs Wilson).
