The Big Numbers – Gameweek 1-3 – Forwards

The final instalment in our series of Big Numbers articles focussing on Gameweeks 1-3 is rolled out this evening. After assessing the fortunes of defenders and midfielders, we now turn our attentions to the men up front – Chelsea and Southampton’s summer signings come under assessment, as do Everton’s in-form budget striker and the contrasting fortunes of a pair of Manchester-based front men.

Welbz looks good for a price rise tonight...astonishing amount of transfers in, rapidly rising in percentage...

Could I get some feedback? Latest wildcard draft. Not too sure about Falcao/Lovren/Evans

    Krulliot

    Evans-Lovren-Clyne (Duff,Moore)

    Tadic-Siggy-Fabregas-Sterling (King)

    Falcao-Costa-Balotelli

I would worry about Falcoa starting. Tadic has yet to prove him self so still looks a punt to me. Nothing wrong with Lovren but I'd go DDG in goal and Coloccini in defence instead of Krul/Evans

I may pick a Costa Augero front but that moves you to a 3-5-2. If you want to stick with 3-4-3. It's a bit tougher. Falcoa and Balo are not bad picks just a bit risky. With who Hull just signed I'm liking the looks of Jelavic. But he won't fix the issue. Really I have no idea haha.

Really tempted to mix up my midfield a bit on the WC with the likes of Gerrard/Tadic over Rambo/Fabregas.

Punty or calculated would you say?

Gerrard has been a consistent performer in terms of Fpl and Tadic has also showed some good potential.

Pick one and keep the Fabregas imo

Cheers Doos. Had a look at it before, that's why I'm quite hesitant tbh. Just a bit bored by the template, everyone has a mf of Cesc, Siggy, Sterling + either Ramsey or those who are looking to punt who have Tadic.

I don't have Fabregas, and probably won't, unless his numbers improve.

Sigurdsson, Sterling and Ramsey are currently "must-haves", in my view.

I don't think I've ever gone into an international break without a big set of red arrows, it happens every time.
Somehow, for some reason, this one seems like the worst one ever. I think it's the new format of the European Championship qualifying. Any lingering love I have for international football is restricted to the World Cup finals these days.
At least they don't interfere with FPL.

Ah, don't mind me, it was only a small red arrow 😉
Very happy with my start tbh, as you should be too!

    Think I'm set to go.

    Krul
    Ivanovic Clyne Shawcross
    Tadic Sterling (C) Fabregas Siggy
    Costa Adebayor Balotelli

    Elliot, N Taylor, Boyd, Hutton.

Looks really good. I assume you have a plan for some Arsenal / Everton boys come GW8.
Boyd and Hutton not ideal but I understand why they're there.

Yes ditching Ade for Naismith. Bring in Wally for Tadic. And Coleman in too.

Currently on WC and just 0.9m off being able to afford this:

    Begovic (Myhill)
    Clyne, Coloccini, Pieters (Duff) (Taylor)
Di María, Ramsey, Fábregas, Sterling, Sigurdsson
    Rooney, Costa (Naismith)

    What to do?

          Welbeck instead of Rooney ?
Would worry about Duff's playing time.
Bertrand would be a shade cheaper than Clyne - arguable whether a better pick...
