As always, our Sunday members’ regular delves into the data of the matches played out so far. This time around, Arsenal’s attack, Swansea’s in-form frontman, the Hammers’ raiding left-back and Southampton’s new wide man are amongst our evening assessment.
should've scored but did play well
Shouldve scored had it not been from a world class save from DDG.
Great save by DDG but not really the greatest shot either
Interesting, just the one shot though. His stats this season make grim reading
Yet look where he is for total points, not too bad at all.
Imagine when he starts really exploding
Was really good, missed a relatively easy chance but he did create it well not that it matters much now
Other than the notorious miss, he was very lively on the ball & made some dashing runs into the box.
Unlucky not to score, was always one dribble away from a clear shot on goal
One of the better producers on the pitch for sure though
Went with Sanchez and Welbeck for the next while over Costa and Chadli. Let's see how this goes...
On paper, you can't go wrong w/ that.
DC might overwhelm the former duo IF you don't have Haz/Fab already
Could do Costa/Sterling/Siggy > Sakho/Sanchez/Hazard (-4)
Not right now, wait for further news on Sahko's injury.
Good moves for free irregardless
Feck feck feck.
Hadn't been looking at the time, had no idea price changes were happening now, missed 0.1 on Sanchez. So silly when I've just been sitting here on FFS anyway.Unlucky. Take it as a blessing in disguise - Wally is returning 😉
Doubt he'll start before GW 12
Ha, more than a bit soon I think!
They came an hour early in UK time.
Yep, I guess that's a lesson learned!
I had my moves done thinking we had another hour, went to click confirm and thought I better come on here for reassurance, refreshed page and see the risers /fallers post in green, gutted
Damn those clocks going back!
I just went back on the FPL tab that was ready to confirm tried to click confirm it just refreshed page , worth a try though 🙂
I luckily did my transfers in time. Had exact money to transfer Sanchez in!
Any word on when Cisse is going to play next? Thinking of getting him in my team for a short 2-3 week run.
Anyone know where you can see the rank of a league on fpl?
Our transfer hub league should be strong I think
What was your mist annoying moment this GW?
*most
Costa not playing, of course
When no reporter apparently saw fit to ask about Costa's status after the match.
Ivan getting sent off and costing me a bundle of points. 🙁
The whole summary of the Liverpool game
Ivan getting sent off, shortly followed by Chelsea losing the CS
scored above average but still got a red arrow, argh! 1458
@Innsie..you'll just have to settle for Walcott now...sheesh...
Too soon for Walcott though Wakey 🙁
Aye..but he may well be the better pick..
He may be in the end yeah. Sanchez playing Burnley at home is scary though... Looks like I'll be holding Sterling another week...
Could be a blessing in disguise for him...
Ahh...didn't see that. You would have said no to both Sanchez and Pelle though.
Probably but that wasn't the point of my post.
Repost because I am still crying

And now I am 0.2 off the move 🙄Spewing i picked Rose instead of chambers
Bad mistake.
Very bad
Wouldn't have looked nearly so bad had Sunderland not missed that shot on an empty net.
I missed that chance, who took the shot?
PVA
Think I'm most probably going Costa -> Welbeck with my FT now.
Then I'm 0.2 short of doing Siggy -> Haz. ArrghhManaged to get triple rise. Two from new transfer (Sanchez & Berahino). 😀
sterling to hazard/ sanchez
dnt have costaIan Wright's son just tied the MLS season scoring record with a brace.
insane form. simply insane.
But have you seen that Morales kid from Whitecaps 😉
Just done it ; Siggy Sterling > Sanchez Hazard my midfield is looking tasty now , big jump on RMT too , 5 penalty takers now too , feeling good
I just need to score over 80 next GW to make up for this week, easy.
Like stealing candy from a baby
It's easier to get 40 points
Just now logging on after a busy day.
Ivanovic red card, what a dagger to end such a disappointing week.At least he isn't suspended for the QPR game
I made the schoolboy mistake of selling him before I heard the news.
Compounded the disappointment obviously, haha.Gutted, I almost did the same thing. Luckily I saw the tweet in time.
Can i get some thoughts from the DZ legends please?
Forster Mannone
Clyne Dier Baines Naylor Hutton
Siggy Fabregas Sterling ADM Boyd
Aguero Welbeck Pelle
Very generic I know. 0.2 ITB and 1 FT this week. Eventually I'd like to move Dier and Clyne (when Soton's fixtures get tough) and probably upgrade Welbeck > Costa or Sterling > Sanchez / Walcott. I'd also like to shift Siggy > Diame (my own little differential).
Just not sure where to start! I expect if Siggy is ruled out this week it'll be a straight swap, otherwise I think Dier needs to go?I think you can get away with holding onto Siggy. I'd shift Dier first.
Agree but not this week. Save FT.
I'd do Dier to Wisdom for now. Or save the FT.
The case for Oscar
- 3rd in fpl "form" or midfielders on 6.5, behind only Tadic and Sanchez
- plays qpr next who have worst away defensive record in the league. Has good fixtures for a while, wba and Sunderland for example.
- He does get rotated, but his game time is very predictable: the only 2 games he didn't start were everton and Man City, both away. Going back to last seasons game-by-game log (on transfermarkt) reveals that he always starts against bottom-14 sides, especially at home.
- in his last 4 games against non-top-6 teams (LEI, SWA, AVL, pal) he scored 3, 5, 9, 13 points, respectively.
- looking at stat tables for mids, he is highly ranked when sorting by home games, in particular for touches and shots in the box, and even beats hazard in a few key areas.
- his price doesn't look like rising early this week which allows us to monitor him in midweek before deciding.
- 8.3m is a good range where potential future upgrades to 9.0-10.0 players are very accessible, as are downgrades.
- he's on freekicks
- mourinho recently praised him enormously, and he's also a central cog for Brazil.
- with an ownership of only 3.2%, he'll be a great differential next week and beyond.
I am going to monitor him with a view to doing Siggy>Oscar as late as possible, or when one of them looks like dropping/rising in value.I think Oscar could be quite a shrewd buy. Decent value anyway.
Soo err Naylor -> Chambers? and save the other FT?
Forster, McCarthy
Ivan, Baines, Naylor, Moore, Duff
Sterling, Tadic, Siggy, Chadlii, Boyd
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
2FT
1.6mI doubt Costa will play
What makes you say that? He trained yesterday didn't he?
Was supposed to play if he came out of practice OK. So what happened at that practice?
Did Mourinho not say if he got through training he would play? Pretty sure those stories about him training were made up.
Of course they were. Telegraph story still holding true.
Well I'll keep an eye on any further news. Obviously I wouldn't want to sell Costa before the QPR game if he is declared fit.
Like he's gonna be confirmed fit 🙂
Well you know. Images of him training etc, positive vibes and all that.
Yes & keep Costa, lay it over for next week & re-arrange in case of under performers
IWill obviously keep an eye on injury news etc. Can't afford any no shows this week. Yeah I'm basically bailing on making any big decisions this week by giving the likes of Sterling, Costa and Siggy another chance.
I'm doing the same, could very well reap the rewards next week w/ that front line.
If DC plays, it may lessen the Hazardless blow for you by miles if he's clean
Cleanies + Assists in the back check,
Good fixtures + Home games in the mid check
Buffed up front line cehckAll eyes on DC and Mourinho. I don't mind doing that for another week.
Sterling to
a) Diame
b) Jedinak
c) DowningAnyone considered going both Sakho and Berahino? 😯
Sakho is out for the next month
I wish but Sakho is out
😯 someone get a Scout tweet up ffs
😆
what
Sorry. I just don't see the point. Other options back in the fold, namely Rooney.
The 'point' would be to fit in the likes of Sanchez, Hazard, Di Maria, Sterling etc.
Maybe when Pelle's fixtures plunge, but even then it's a farcry w/ Rooney,Sturridge, DC all thrown back into the mix.
Not to mention the lower priced Lukaku,Benteke,Bony, etcPelle is a must up front at the moment IMO. Take into consideration price and performance he is top notch. Bony does catch the eye however..
For the next three for sure
+ 1
How's this for a -8 hit
Welbeck out, Berahino in
Sterling out, Sanchez in
ADM out, Hazard in - will bring back ADM after Man City game.
Will give me
Krul
Baines, Ivanovic, Clyne
Sanchez, Hazard, Tadic, Siggy
Aguero (c), Pelle, Berahino
Elliott, Hutton, Boyd, Moore
Thanks in advanceNot worth -8 maybe first 2 as your want ADM folling week v CP
I wouldn't take any hits personally. Sterling is too good for that and Welbeck is still a goal threat. Do it over a few game weeks maybe?
Now I have Sanchez , Welbeck doesn't look so pretty , if he doesn't perform next few games , Valencia is waiting ...
You also reckon the Sahko injury will put all the more emphasis on the Ecuadorian?
Yh I love him , not biased either , he has everything in his locker , world class , Spain or England top 4 club next year I think
Is doubling up on Sot defence risky next week?
No
RMT telling me to play Moore over Bertie , I have Clyne too, last week it told me Boyd over Siggy ( I ignored but got lucky autosub) but after that I may just do it with Moore
Not at all
Blinded by rage, I made these moves after Ivan's red card:
Ivanovic, Caulker, Sterling -> Felipe Luis, Chambers and Hazard (C), -4
Decent moves or slightly off the boil? Leaves me with:
Forster
Baines Clyne Chambers Felipe Luis
Hazard (C) Fabregas Eriksen
Aguero Pelle Welbeck
Elliot Sigurdsson Moore AlbrightonLuis is very short term so I'm not sure on that one. The others seem good though.
Other than the Luis move, all solid on the Western front.
Azpi will haunt you soonYou think Luis will oust Azpi?
How does Ivan, Sterling and welbeck --> dummett, mane and aguero sound ? (-4) next week
Crazy , fixtures are much worse for the newbies your bringing in all around
Aguero has United this week so I'd hold off a week on those moves.
Heaton Gilks
Baines Clyne Bertrand Naylor Moore
AdM Fabregas Sterling Siggy Boyd
Aguero Welbeck Berahino
What to do this week? Currently considering...
A) Gilks>Guzan or Foster(gives me another option and Gilks will drop in price soon)
B) Heaton>Guzan or Foster
C) Sterling>Hazard
D) Siggy>Hazard
E) SaveGilks > Foster or save it i reckon.
3 Saints defenders?
Ye that would be my first focus. They have been coming up with the goods but risky.
Definitely make a change in goal. Although I don't think Guzan or Forster are the right players to get. Maybe consider someone in the 5.5m range?
Agree on that avenue but I think I'd rather go cheap until January.
E for now.
Intending to wait on the Costa news first?
If definitely not getting Costa back, then C or save.
9 years, 7 months ago
So how did Hazard play? His stats were horrible again.
