As always, our Sunday members’ regular delves into the data of the matches played out so far. This time around, Arsenal’s attack, Swansea’s in-form frontman, the Hammers’ raiding left-back and Southampton’s new wide man are amongst our evening assessment.
So if I get Foster in to rotate with Heaton my only bad fixture until the end of the season should I choose to hold my WC would be Pool at home.
One of Hazard or Sanchez certainly the sexy pick this week but I don't see the same long term benefit.Burnley will only get 0,5-1 CS til end of season
Lots of injuries ATM. Could well improve long term.
Any postponed, cancelled or rearranged matches over Xmas/FA cup could throw that off kilter though
Sexy picks sometime define your season.
Hazard/Sanchez could definitely be last week's Aguero/Tadic, and those kind of hauls undermine long-term benefits at times.Arsenal just played Sunderland. Why do people expect Burnley to be a better fixture?
And those kind of hauls are pretty impossible to predict. Sunderland looked in decent form two GWs ago. Seems all too fishy really.
What to do? 1 FT - 0.7M ITB
Guzan // Given
Baines // Bertrand // Clyne // Duff // Moore
Siggy // ADM // Sterling // Fabregas // Boyd
Aguero (c) // Welbeck // Pelle
A] Siggy >>> Chadli
B] Save FT
C] Other (please specify)B
Need a Cisse replacement, punt on Rooney or go for Pelle? Thanks!
That's a tough one cos ManU are starting to look like a team again. I'd still go Pelle myself, though. I don't think the Rooney / RVP mix works
Umm... Cheers! Pelle might be better for time being 🙂
Costa to
A. Welbeck
B. Rooney
i have no other ARS or MUN player. You'll keep Costa, surely?
Can I afford another 0.3 drop? 🙁
You've afforded 0.4 already. 😉
I know 😉
But thing is, i don't think it's worth holding when Costa might not bring the points home against QPR.
So many possibilities.. cameo appearances, no-show, fake injuries to escape int duty... screw Mourinho.
B
Good boy. No bias? 😉
Common sense like.
Brilliant. I'm tempted, you know.
As you should be. It's the perfect transfer.
Wait on Costa news.
Thought the Costa dilemma had gone.... now im in more trouble.
His price is quickly dropping, had me thinking would be able to buy him back later on, specially if he misses the QPR game. Hate his hammy....
Bego Myhill
Clyne Moreno Wisdom PVA Moore
Siggy Tadic Fab ADM Boyd
Costa Aguero Pelle
1 FT, 0.4 ITB
A: Costa + Tadic -> Berahino + Sanchez
B: Costa + Tadic -> Sakho + Hazard
C: Keep Costa and saveWait for updates on Costa, if ruled out go for A else C
I'd worry more about the back line than the front.
Thing is most of my money is locked in the front 3, and wasn't really complaining until all the costa debacle.
Quite comfortable with 2 mid price defender and 3 cheapos to rotate each week. I know Bego hasnt performed all that well either.
A little team help here would be nice.
The bunch I have here right now is.
Begovic, Hamer,
Moreno, Clyne, van Aanholt, Coloccini, Hutton,
*di Maria, Sterling, *Sigurdsson, Tadic, Davis,
Aguero, Costa, Welbeck.
2 FT, 0.1 ITB.
In spite of what people/stats might have to say, I'll Sterling, Welbeck and (fit) Costa for another week atleast. QPR, Newcastle and Burnley are the opponents, after all.
And Tadic, as well. I have reaped his rewards once already, and I think there is more to come.
That leaves me with ADM and Sigurdsson. I'm reluctant to get Sanchez, as I very well think he may get a rest.
So, what do you think about these.
A. ADM ➡ Hazard, and Sigurdsson ➡ Chadli/Barkley ?
B. Moreno ➡ Baines, and Sigurdsson ➡ Diame ?
C. Maybe some boring transfer to change a keeper/PVA?
Some suggestions please. 😉Wait for Costa news. If fit sort out your defense.
I've been doing that since the last two weeks. Do you think this week will be any different, in terms of Mourinho giving us a truthful answer?
Actually no. If it were me, he'd be a goner for Rooney. Would use the other to switch Bego out.
I haven't owned Di Maria yet this season, but I wouldn't really want to sell him if I'd gotten him at 9.5. Unlike Sanchez, he's unlikely to ever be rested if fit, and while 2 out of the next 3 are tough, 3, out of the next 5 are juicy. I guess I like B the best, although I've only seen highlights of Diame. Dunno how much threat he actually has. You could just swap Moreno to Chambers or something and keep 2 freebies.
Just ADM ➡ Hazard. Save the other.
Shut the front door, that defense is stifling , I'd fix that ASAP
Any ideas here? Would like an ARS attacking player for this w/e (Sanchez or Welbeck) but can't see an obvious route....
Krul
Baines, Clyne, Chambers
Hazard, Sterling, Chadli, Siggy
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
Elliot, Hutton, Wisdom, Albrighton
Bank 0.2m, 2 freebiesSterling & Costa --> Sanchez & Welbeck if Cosa out
And if Costa is confirmed fit (which I expect)?
wont be fully fit anyway
or Welbeck & Cesc in for Sterling& Costa, you have Cesz & Haza so wont worry about CostaIf Costa is fit I'd want him for QPR. Captain material.
What about Sterling & Siggy -> Sanchez & a 5.0m mid (Boyd/Amalfitano)could be a good short term.
Siggy is a season keeper at 6M. With Theo & Ramsey back I wont be so sure about Sanchez
Costa>Roonpig and hold serve
Away at City? Naaah
Ok...
Sure, he has a good record, but his ceiling this week is much lower than others imo.
Erm, I think you should have a look at his record against City. They're toss defensively as well you know.
Sure, but he hasn't played in 3 weeks and he'll likely be playing in midfield.
I think United will score, but not more than 1He played for England a week ago and scored. He'll be fine. He hasn't been out injured. Has been training every day.
I see at least five goals in it. Classic incoming.Yeah, I fancy goals too.
Aguero(c) at the moment. I think 4-1 City. They are beasts at home.lol
I'm going to it so I hope you are correct.
You shall be rewarded.
In this life or the next.
Assuming you are going to ride it out with Costa still? Have to sacrifice either him or Aguero to afford Sanchez, or you have to drop one for Welbz. You could do Pelle > Welbz but goes against form and fixtures.
You could try Sterling to Ramsey I suppose, but that's probably too much of a gamble. Other than that, I don't see an easy way to fit a Sanchez/Welbeck in unless Costa is still unfit.
What would you do with this team?
Begovic
Baines - Moreno - Clyne
Fab - Sterling - Siggy - Chadli
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
Bench: Gilks, Pva, Moore, Marney
1FT, 0m in the bankCosta>Rooney
Moreno ➡ Chambers?
1 week? Moreno> Felipe Luis
Moreno would be my concern in your position & your back line in general in three weeks time will rack up very few cleanies 'til January
I'd sort that out first. for starters
PvA/Moreno --> Chambers comes to mindGuess I'd try to save, but if Costa/Siggy are out sell one or both of them. If just Siggy is out, could take a hit with Moreno or Sterling to raise some funds and get yourself into the Mane/Barkley price bracket.
Same front 7 as mine. I would wait on the Siggy injury update before making a transfer.
I would save the transfer
First, thank your lucky stars Moreno finally got a cleanie 🙂
Then sell his sorry arse for Wisdom. That extra cash could come in handy soon.
Hi, what to do with this lot?
Guzan (Foster)
Baines Bertrand Moore (Hutton Azpi)
Hazard Chadli ADM Siggy (Obertan)
Costa Aguero Naismith

B) Azpi --> Rose/Clyne
C) Save FTD) Other suggestions 🙂
b--clyne
C in case Siggy is injured, otherwise reevaluate Naismith next week with 2 FT.
Thanks 🙂
C is also my vote pending Costa/Siggy news.
Cheers mate
Thoughts, please:
A) sig sterling> Sanchez Jedinak
B) Sig Naismith> Beharino Henderson
C) Costa Clyne> Pelle IvanB with Downing.
Morning, DZ. 🙂
Begovic
Ivanovic, Baines, Chambers
Hazard (VC), Sterling, Tadic, Sigurdsson
kun Aguero (C), Pelle, Welbeck
Clyne, Moore, Boyd
Good enough to save FT? Everything in order?Got some balls benching Clyne, I learned the hard way
Surely they'll concede next GW? 😐
Can't drop anybody else, can I?Not unless you don't fancy Siggy's form, no.
Good & bad position to be in,😐
Cheers.*benching headache
Really like it... Like that you're sticking to Raheem
I hope BR rests him for the league cup.
Can I *please* get some feedback on this team? I'd appreciate it as I think I've been looking at it too long!
Krul Elliott
Baines Clyne Chambers Vlaar Duff
Hazard DiM Fabregas Siggy Boyd
Aguero Pelle WelbeckOther than 2 CHE mids, fairly template, so probably boring but good.
Looks fine to me....
I'd take a look on the GK rotation if i were you....
Other than that, good to goit's not a rotation Krul> Foster (Guzan doubles you).
Bringing Hazard in would mean I'm doubled up on Chelsea midfield as I'm not selling Fabregas. And then I wouldn't be able to get Rooney in next week for Welbeck after his inevitable blank. Seems reckless if not foolish.
Foolish, not a priority
Yup, total luxury if not lottery transfer
If you think anything in this game is inevitable, that's being reckless if not foolish.
Of course I don't think it's inevitable. I'm embellishing to make light of his shite form. Last chance saloon for me and I'm even tempted to do the transfer this week.
Why bringing Hazard?
He and Sanchez are the hot, new things don't you know.
TBF I was planning on bringing him in this week as he is a known flat track bully. But I see nothing to suggest he'll be one at the weekend right now.Tbh, he is not FPL product anymore imo. I own him and he has been most frustrating pick till date... Wish I went with Fabregas instead 😐
he has looked good all season look at his BPS, the pts will come. Wish I still had Haz Fab Costa
Madness.
Who would you bring in for Siggy?
Got 6.9m available total.
Thinking Barkley or Mane. Don't know why people feel Barkley isn't nailed on.. Think he only got rested because he's just come back from injury and played midweek.Siggy
Really? With those fixtures?
I really like Siggy - I think he's great but those fixtures make me doubt him.1 bad fixture in the next six. You held him this long why dump now that Swansea are starting to play well (unless injured).
Next 3 are Everton, Arsenal, City. Those are 3 bad fixtures in the next 3.
If you switch the ticker to attacking, you have 1 red, 1 pink, 4 blue in the next six, so I don't think it's just me unconcerned with the fixtures.
Well he is young and just coming back from injury and there will be other midweek games. I think Barkley could be a canny buy, but he does carry an element of risk. I prefer Mane.
Yeah, that's true.
The bigger worry for me is that I generally feel like young players don't get fantasy returns. Feel like it takes them a couple of seasons to get the required consistency.
Bego
Baines. Clyne. Ivanovic
Barkley. Ramsey. Hazard. Milner
Welbeck. Costa. Aguero
Get in!!!!!Still keeping Costa? Will drop once or twice again...
Who is Costa?
Dont know 🙂
Haha, what do you think of Barkley?
Thinking of getting him in for Siggy myself.Great at his price considering he will start and they are home and firing atm
Yeah, my only worry is that younger players take a while to get into actual fantasy points.
Even last season he only had like 6 goals and 4 assists.
Worried that Siggy has more in him than Barkley in terms of actual goals/assists.
Hey Guys please help me to sort this out :
Krul Gilks
Baines Clyne Naylor Wisdom Duff
ADM Fabregas Sterling Tadic Siggurdsson
Aguero Pelle Ulloa
1 FT 0.1 ITB
Sanchez turns out to be very big hitter with kind fixtures. Also see Hazard due to explode really soon.
Sterling form is unconvincing, ADM has tough fixtures ahead, Ulloa turns out my worst transfer this season.
What to do?
a. ADM to Hazard
b. ADM and Ulloa to Sanchez and Naismith
c. Downgrade Sterling and Upgrade ADM to Sanchez. Question is to who?
d. Simply Ulloa to Sakho? or Etoo?
God I have so many options. Please give me enlightenment will ya?
Thanksss.I'd be a little wary of selling ADM. 2/3 fixtures are bad, but 3/5 are also very good. And Manchester City and Arsenal haven't exactly looked like fortresses so far this season. Ulloa to Sakho looks good to me if his shoulder is okay.
Yes that's the safest choice. Thanks.
a = too sideways and you already have Fabregas
b = not the time to be getting in Naismith with Barkley back and E'too now playing.
c = not sure Sanchez is an upgrade to ADM
d = Sakho may be out for a month, Etoo is just no.
If Siggy is out, downgrade to Boyd/Jedinak to free up cash to upgrade Ulloa next week,So is it a (-4) move?
Krulliot
Chambers-Clyne-Terry (Moore-Wisdom)
Sanchez-Sterling-Tadic-Siggy (Albrighton)
Aguero-Pelle-Welbeck
1 FT, 3.4 in the bank. I'm agonizingly .1 off Siggy to Hazard. Take a hit to raise the funds or "settle" for Cesc? If the hit, any suggestions of where to do it? Seems dumb to sell Terry with QPR at home.Siggy Terry> Haz Felpie Luis
Could work. Although it does feel silly to take a hit to go from one Chelsea defender to another. But I do really think the first Hazard explosion could be coming.
Unlucky. I'd settle for Cesc.
Yeah, it looks dumb - that's why I got rid of him last week for Baines. Better late than never, man. Thanks from the future!
Muppet Rage u kin Rag bar steward well played with Berahino c and United were good today. Smalling was great I thought.
Joneserinho is ur crappest along with Evans.
Thought in fairness the Rags deserved a point mate.
Cheers for that too.
Etihad this week 🙂Showed Chelsea have cracks. 2 pts from 6 v Manc clubs now
Both away matches.
😆
Fair points all. Except I bottled the Berahino(C) lark at the last minute. 🙁
I'm quite happy with it obviously, especially considering you lot have about as good a chance of catching the Chavs as we do. 😉
Will be some match I think. 😀U bellend!!!! U were so set on it mate!
I harked to FFS pressure and c Aguero knowing full well we would struggle.
Sterling. Siggy. Pelle weren't all that much better however.
Yea mate. Derby day!!!!!!!Yeah, looking forward to it. What a difference a year makes.
Is Moore (WBA) over Sigurdsson (eve) plain stupid?
I noticed Moore does have some attacking threat in set pieces.I think barkley could be a very good pick in the coming weeks. Anyone else considering siggy to barkley ??
See above
Most common transfer this week is going to be:
Sterling, Welbeck --> Sanchez, SakhoNot with Sakho flagged and injured.
he is? didn't know that
i doubt welbeck gone that fast, its burnley at home lol.
casuals probably do it though
Hazard at home to QPR is as essential as it gets. Flat-track bully up against the worst team in the league.
I read these lines before Aston Villa too
Blanks against Burnley, Villa and Palace so far. Scored against Leicester at home but didn't reach double digits.
Hazard is a completely different player at home... And QPR are no Leicester lol
Leicester are shite lol
5-3 lol
1-1 lol
10 points ahead lol
Plastic club lol
200m on transfers this season and still mid-table lol
Your maths and logic are both shite lol
I can do this all night BTWYeah, but in the end you're arguing with Willis. And losing. :-O
literally lol reading u two having a go at each other, now kiss!
Your assessment is shite lol
Not you, Don. The Shadow Man.
lol
lolol
Leicester looking worse than QPR, shocking the other day
What you thinking then? Thought you were disagreeing with me.
Question is who will score more points next 3 GWs
ADM Man City (away) CP (home) Arsenal (home)
V
Hazard QPR (home) Liverpool (away) WBA (home)
Too early for Sterling -> Walcott/Ramsey this week?
2 freebies so need to use 1 and would like an ARS attacker
Krul
Baines, Clyne, Chambers
Hazard, Sterling, Chadli, Siggy
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
Elliot, Hutton, Wisdom, Albrighton
Bank 0.2m, 2 freebiesYou never need to use one. Saving a transfer for tiebreaking purposes is a viable option. Welbeck is easy enough to bring in with a single FT. Sanchez is the only other worth thinking about now.
2FT, 0.7m in bank
Guzan Myhill
Clyne Chambers Naylor Duff Moore
Fab ADM Sigg Sterl Cork
Pelle Aguero Costa
Any opinions on my team? Was hoping to improve my defense or get in Sanchez.Must admit i am a little surprised at the level of selling to rush Sanchez in., especially as it involves selling players that are not injured, and have performed relatively well thus far.
Expect it from the casuals , but not so many deadzonersIndeed. Especially considering the manner in which he scored his brace.
I like midfielders who (1st goal) are up the pitch pressuring CBs and (2nd goal) up almost in the six yard box looking to vulture a goal.
James Milner does that every week. Like most, he rarely gets rewarded for it.
Um, no. Milner is no Sanchez. You are being very silly.
No, I'm not. If you want industry from your mids Milner is top of the list.
Yes you are if you think it's all about industry and continue to use Milner as an example as if the two are comparable.
In the context of our conversation absolutely he is.
Only by using fallacious logic and attempting to argue that industry is the critical factor. Even then you ignore game time - the abilty to make use of the industry, You ignore pace and talent - the abilty to turn that industry into reward.
But most importantly, you're arguing for Milner. That's just damn embarassing. It's really not. My point is made. Every winger/attacker in the league chases down defenders/keepers like that every week. And a very few, more like none of them get rewarded most weeks.
It was a bloody fluke. How often do you see Juan Mata pressuring CBs? In this game you want mids who are pressing high (and also have loads of talent) and are in forward positions so they can benefit from chances. Many goals are flukes. That's the nature of the game. A Di Maria scuffed pass that goes into the net counts just as much as a Yaya free kick blast. But you want talented players who are doing things to give themselves opportunities.
Juan Mata. We don't say that name around here.
Thing is, he has form, fixtures and an outside chance of being OOP.
I think an ARS attacker is a good idea this week, and he looks the best of them.
I have none though - any ideas on my best move (above)?Costa>Roonpig
yes in your case Sanchez would be a good idea, however its not easy to afford.
Thats he problem with Costa and Aguero , its quite limiting.
I would suggest Costa to Welbeck and Someone to Hazard , but i doubt you will like thatI already have Hazard, or did you mean Sanchez?
Got Sanchez in last week before the bandwagon started so I benefited hugely from two consecutive double-digit scores. Bringing him in is one of the main reasons why I'm in the top 100.
Second highest scoring midfielder now - doesn't surprise me in the slightest that people are rushing to get him in
What to do? 1 FT - 0.0M ITB & 11 pt lead ML
Guzan // Hamer
Bertrand // Colo // Naylor // O'Shea // Dummet
Siggy // ADM // Sterling // Tadic // Hendo
Aguero (c) // Costa // Pelle
A] Siggy & Hendo > Eriksen & Boyd
B] Save FT
C] Other (please specify)O'Shea --> Chambers
Asked earlier, but it got lost amongst the Siggy and Sanchez questions.
Any word on Cisse and if he's fit to play in the coming weeks? Obviously, Sakho looking like the better option but he already has 5 in 5 and it's unlikely he'll get 9 in 9 or whatever. Much rather punt on Cisse for the next 4 fixtures.Out of curiosity, who here is in the Snake Juice NBA fantasy league? 😀
Can't you play NBA Fantasy without Joining or creating a league?
What to do? 1 FT
Foster/4.0
Baines/Cahill/Clyne/Duff/Dummett

Since I have 0.0 ITB if Siggy drops 0.1 I won't be able to do A.
Cheers.

Arsenal have Champions League game after Burnley, a positive point to get Alexis...
