Saturday’s modest points returns pile expectations on to Sunday’s trio of encounters, as an assortment of prime Fantasy assets take to the turf.

It all begins with a pair of lunchtime kick-offs, as Spurs entertain Newcastle at the Lane and Burnley host Everton up at Turf Moor. Fantasy managers will be looking to the likes of Leighton Baines, Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen to provide some early cheer, before attentions turn to the main event at Old Trafford at 4pm.

United and Chelsea meet head-on in one of the season’s key clashes. It arrives in time to find Jose Mourinho’s Blues flying high on top of the table, while Louis van Gaal’s United struggle to break out of a state of flux.

The script points to a comfortable away win, with Fantasy managers eagerly awaiting the visitors’ team sheet and the potential “revelation” that Diego Costa defies the claims of his manager to spearhead the Chelsea attack. We’re in for a fascinating afternoon.

    Obertan: anyone here in Newcastle or educated guess if he will continue to start as in good chance for 70 min +?
    i wanted to pik Obertan over Boyd for that 5ht mid, but niw not sure. Think obertan is better player from his early days in france, but boyd's 90 min are more important of Obertan not nailed anymore.

    gw 8 he was excelent, today he came out after 45 min. For ameobi came in for obertan whereas cabella came in for anita. Maybe its just a one match thing as Ameobi is a Forward , or can Cabella start next gw in for obertan sending him back to bench?

      cabella is a much better player and will be in the team if he performs. Obertan is a rotation player always will be and his gametime will drop when other toon players are fit. The 5th mid spot should be someone who gets gametime. I would go Boyd.

        cheers. i just thot obertan was insane value at 4.4 if hes assured 90 min. he was great talent early yrs in france and then dropped off radar. now he seems bak...but as u also say, rotation risk is big w/ Cabella around and De jong whenever he gets bak (think its n0v-dec)

        True that. I do have Courtois but Baines has the freedom and seems to be involved in every Everton attack whereas Ivanovic hasn't been taken as many chances going forward recently. I think Mourinho got on his case and reminded him that defending is his first priority.
