The Weekend Team News

Jack Wilshere is a big doubt for Arsenal’s home clash with Burnley, who welcome back Dean Marney into midfield. West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is in with a chance of lining up against the Potters. Brendan Rodgers rules out Jose Enrique against Newcastle, who themselves could be without forward Papiss Cisse. Sadio Mane is set to return to training as he bids to prove his fitness ahead of Southampton’s KC clash, while the FA rescind Federico Fernandez’s three-match ban ahead of Swansea’s trip to Everton.

Arsene Wenger is “quite confident” Kieran Gibbs will overcome a hip problem in time for tomorrow’s visit of Burnley. The Gunners boss expects Jack Wilshere to miss out with a “very, very short-term” knee problem, whilst he also went on to confirm Theo Walcott is “not completely ready” and won’t start against the Clarets.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that Diafra Sakho is “touch and go” for the weekend, after injuring his shoulder during the win over Man City. Allardyce confirmed the Hammers will monitor the forward’s condition before Saturday, whilst James Tomkins and Matt Jarvis have recovered from their injuries and will make a return to the squad.

Jose Enrique will miss the reunion against former club Newcastle, with Brendan Rodgers confirming that the defender has an issue with his knee. The Reds boss has also conceded he expects Daniel Sturridge to remain sidelined until after the next international break, before talking up Fabio Borini’s prospects ahead of the Magpies clash and also hinting at a change of tactics for the weekend, after mainly operating with a 4-2-3-1 in Sturridge’s absence.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has rated Papiss Cisse “touch and go” as the striker bids to overcome a knee problem in time for the Liverpool clash.

Reports in the local press indicate David Silva will miss the next three weeks with a knee problem sustained against Newcastle in midweek. Manuel Pellegrini is expected to clarify the situation in today’s lunchtime press conference.

Sean Dyche has received a boost ahead of the trip to the Emirates, with news that midfielder Dean Marney is back in contention to face the Gunners after recovering from injury.

Sadio Mane is a doubt to face Hull as he bids to overcome an ankle injury picked up last week. Ronald Koeman has announced that the winger is expected to be part of the travelling squad on Saturday, should he come through training this morning.

Federico Fernandez will be available for Swansea’s trip to Goodison after successfully appealing the red card he received in the midweek cup exit to Liverpool. Elsewhere, midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ki Sung-Yeung are both back in training ahead of the Toffees test

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I have Costa but i am also thinking does Jose really need Costa to play Vs QPR to win?!..i dunno how he thinks but wouldn't be better that Costa gets more rest?.. Hazard, Fab, Shurrle ..ect cud easily do the job.

How much rest do you want him to have? He needs to start playing again for the important matches coming up

This. He's had a few weeks off now. Too much rest wouldn't be good and I'm sure he's hungry. Dropping him cause "it's just qpr" is something Jose is too smart to do imo.

I think he's rested enough. With Remy out and Drogba playing the last 2 I hope he'll play. I think Mourinho's more likely to start him and take him off if the win looks assured.

Ramsey played deep last season next to Arteta and I expect he'll be back to that position this week. Good for him he's best from there and Alexis should be in the hole again I think. Good for both

    Forster (Myhill)
    Terry Baines Chambers (Clyne Hutton)
    Siggy Tadic Fabredags Sterling (Marney)
    Costa (c) Aguero Naismith

.3 itb and 2 free transfers.

I'f quite like to get Sanchez in for Sterling but would probably have to sell Terry which seems like madness at home to QPR. Any suggestions to upgrade one of my subs maybe?

Your team still okay in XI so I pick C. Dier must go. Too expensive and inconsistent in your bench. You have Lloris already as well.

Any recommendations? Looking at jagielka or should i just go cheaper?

with Clyne Ivan and Bertrand i won't pick another expensive DFs personally.

          - if you want cheap, probably Duff. Burnley always defend deep. will get CS at some point.
          - if you satisfied with your front 8 for long term, Jagielka is good shout, you can go for him, and downgrade Clyne/Bertrand in GW13.

That's my thinking, mannone has better fixture but if he doesn't play, guzan auto sub. Good logic?

Walcott should be ready to start in time for Tadic's fixture swing.

Have just the money to do Pelle Siggy --> Costa Boyd (-4) (1ft, 0.3 itb)

    Yes or No ?

    Foster (krul)
    Baines Aldy Chambers (Duff Wisdom)
    Hazard ADM Tadic Siggy Chadli
    Pelle Aguero Welbeck

no don't ditch Pelle. and like Snotgrass said i would downgrade your front 8. probably ADM/Tadic/Welbeck
