Mondogoal – Bonus Offers, Prizes & Picks – GW12

Back and refreshed after the international break, it’s time to flex our Mondogoal muscles and attempt to help you get your mitts on some contest prize money.

Mondogoal is a daily and weekly Fantasy Football game – a brand new offering for this season. It not only allows you to play contests based on the Premier League but also all the major top-flight leagues – Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Major League Soccer (MLS). You can even play global contests that span across all the leagues. Mondogoal also supports contests for Champions League and Europa League in midweek.

For a limited time, Mondogoal is offering all new users that sign up through Fantasy Football Scout a 200% bonus on their first deposit (max £500 in bonus money). Bonus is awarded as a 4% cash back on every game you play.

What’s more, Mondogoal also have four featured contests this week with an array of prizes on offer, along with their usual fill of head-to-head match-ups and cash tournaments.

For Gameweek 12 Mondogoal are offering…

  • £100 Weekly Free Kick – No entry fee, no catch. Just pick your best 11 for free and finish in the top 13 to win a share of the pot.
  • £1000 Guaranteed – For a £5 entry you can be in the mix for a share of the big prize pot. Mondogoal even pay out if the contest fails to fill up.
  • VIP MCFC Tickets – As an official partner, Manchester City F.C. is giving away hospitality tickets in the Mancunian Suite for their home match against Everton. You can enter this contest for just a £1.
  • A signed West Ham Shirt – Get Guy Demel’s autograph plus the rest of the Hammers’ squad, with tickets to see them take on Newcastle thrown into the mix. Again, it’s just a £1 to play. Come on now, Doosra!

If that’s drawn you in and you want to dive into the detail of the game, we’ve already published a comprehensive strategy guide, offering tips to help you get started. Read on for our analysis of the weekend fixtures and the targets in our sights…

Saturday’s Picks

Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge clash with West Brom is an obvious first port of call for points. Diego Costa looks to be “a lock” up front with his average of 12.74 points per game (ppg), while Eden Hazard also has to be on the shopping list. The Belgian is a master at running at opponents and has notched up 33 fouls thus far – a key points scoring factor in Mondogoal. At 16.5 million, he comes at a premium so, Oscar, at just 10.5 million, is the fall-back if funds are tight. In defence, you can pick up Branislav Ivanovic for an inexplicable 6.8 million – that looks a shoo-in against a West Brom attack that’s scored just twice on the road this term.

Similarly, Man City’s Etihad meeting with Swansea warrants our attention. The Swans will be no pushovers, while City’s form is a concern of late having faltered at QPR. Sergio Aguero is, again, the obvious source of attacking points from Manuel Pellegrini’s ranks but at a huge 18.2 million, he’s going to empty your pockets. I prefer investment at the back here: Gael Clichy (7.4m) is assured of a start at left-back and he’s won more tackles than any other City defender, losing very few points to fouls along the way.

I’m backing Stoke City to notch a couple of goals and take the points against Burnley and Victor Moses (8.9m) is my pick of what’s on offer. His form has been strong and his clash with the forward-thinking Kieran Trippier will be key to Saturday’s encounter. I’m backing Moses to go on earning points from fouls won and pop up with at least another assist in a Potters win. I’d also consider taking a punt on Bojan up front after he got his season running in the win over Spurs. Burnley will find his trickery difficult to contain and, at just 8.9 million, he’s a worthy risk for the front line.

Everton’s Goodison meeting with West Ham looks to be full of goals but it’s hard to pick a winner. Roberto Martinez has injury concerns and, with the ever-reliable Leighton Baines an uncertain starter, our Mondogoal options are reduced. Stewart Downing, with 9.45 ppg, remains pivotal for the Hammers, and will be hoping to recover from a knee knock in time for this one. As for the Toffees, I like Steven Naismith as a cheaper option up top but his start is far from assured. Seamus Coleman is a candidate at the back with his tackles and fouls won supplementing any attacking returns – at 11.0 million, however, he may be a stretch too far, given that he also carries doubts over his fitness into the weekend.

Newcastle’s assets are certainly worthy of consideration given their recent revival, with right-back Daryl Janmaat (8.7m) a stand-out option. The Dutchman turned in two assists in the win at West Brom and has won more tackles than any other Magpies player this term. He’s worth a look, although many, including me, will fancy QPR to break through the Newcastle rearguard, with Charlie Austin (12.4m) the big goal threat.

Arsenal’s Emirates clash with United is perhaps one of those match-ups worth avoiding – it’s just so hard to call. Given the visitors’ injury concerns at the back, you’d have to fancy the Gunners for a goal or two and, again, Alexis Sanchez, with 11.64 ppg, looks an irresistible option to explore. At 16.9 million, however, he’s going to force you into the budget bracket elsewhere in your lineup. Providing he shakes off a hamstring knock, Danny Welbeck, at 9.6 million, is more budget friendly, while I also fancy Jack Wilshere (9.0m) to put in a points-winning shift following an encouraging display for England in midweek.

Elsewhere, I like the Will Buckley (6.1m) option in the Black Cats’ midfield for their visit to Leicester. The former Brighton man is a foul magnet but I do have concerns on his security of start. Steven Fletcher (8.6m) is a far safer option, has form and is always good for drawing a few fouls from his marker.

Sunday’s Picks

Liverpool are again without Daniel Sturridge for their visit to Selhurst Park and that’s postponed any revival in the attitude towards their Fantasy assets. Raheem Sterling’s output remains a concern and, at 9.5 million, there looks to be better value on offer. Yannick Bolasie is a good example: the Palace winger’s pace and power will surely trouble an unconvincing Reds backline and I can see him drawing free-kicks and picking up some Mondogoal points to warrant the modest 6.1 million outlay.

Tottenham’s visit to Hull looks slim pickings in terms of cast-iron Mondogoal potential. Nacer Chadli has the best ppg (10.91) of the players on show and will carry a goal threat for the visitors, although I prefer the Tigers’ all-action Mo Diame at just 8.0 million.

Monday’s Picks

Southampton’s visit to Villa Park on Monday evening looks more profitable. With Dusan Tadic a doubt, the Sadio Mane option may open up again – his goal threat and ability to win fouls has appeal, although at 14.3, the price tag is a major obstacle. Nathaniel Clyne, in defence, may just offer better value: Villa have notched just a single goal in their last three home matches and are up against the best defence in the league. Clyne, with more tackles won than any other defender in the top-flight, looks a good option, even at 10.1 million. Meanwhile Fraser Forster (8.3m) continues to lead the way for keepers with 7.16 ppg. You need a good reason to overlook the Saints’ stopper again this week and, aside from Stoke’s Asmir Begovic at 5.8 million, I don’t see too many worthy rivals.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Foster
    Terry, Hutton, Shackell

My stalking is not restricted to FFS users. I've been all over Leicester forums. Fans outraged that he hasn't been playing ( I know that doesn't amount to much ) plus he was rested as Algeria had already qualified. i think/ hope he'll start.

Why have you gone for either of these? Have you looked at Swansea's or Aston Villa's fixtures? I'd just go for Fabianski and a £4m non-playing keeper

    Estimated current team: Fabregas (5) ADM (4) Pelle (2) = 11

    New Transfers: Hazard (5) Wanyama (2) Aguero (10) = 17

Buuuut the new transfers would require an 8 point hit.
