The Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 12

After another international interruption, there’s just a few hours left until the domestic action resumes once again. Our quest to get the better of Paddy sees us turn our attentions to a couple of in-form midfielders from Chelsea and Tottenham, whilst QPR’s free-scoring frontman also gets the nod for the trip to injury-hit Newcastle.

First up, we make our way to Stamford Bridge as the league leaders prepare for the visit of a West Brom side that have scored three times on the road this season. Paddy are offering 7/2 on Oscar to score and Chelsea to collect a clean sheet, and bearing in mind the Brazilian has scored three times in the last six, we’re happy to make this our bet of the week and throw £4 their way.

Whilst Spurs continue to struggle under Mauricio Pochettino, Nacer Chadli is thriving as a Fantasy force. The Belgian grabbed his sixth goal of the season last time out and pays visit to a Hull side that has failed to score in each of the last three Gameweeks. With Paddy offering 8/1 on Chadli to score and for Spurs to earn a shut-out, we part company with another £3.

Our final bet is saved for St James’ Park. Newcastle have lost Fabricio Coloccini to injury, and with Steven Taylor regarded as “a big doubt” by Alan Pardew, the hosts’ recent run of clean sheets could be coming to an end. Charlie Austin has notched four in the last three now – including strikes against Chelsea and City – and with Paddy are willing to offer 66/1 on Austin to score twice and the R’s to grab a clean sheet, this one looks worth a flutter. We’re going to back Harry Redknapp’s side to the tune of our final £3.

Wow really surprised to see Costa higher than Aguero on the captaincy poll.

Who are you guys going with?

Aguero. Heart says RVP (Like almost every week), but I finally decide to go with my brain and Aguero. Queue RVP hattrick, Aguero injury.

I know there are some injury doubts but I'd rather save a FT this week so I can have 2 next week if any of the injuries are major concerns, rather than make short sighted moves just for one week.

    Team is :

    Forster
    Chambers Clyne Duff
    Tadic Downing ADM Fab
    Welbeck RVP (vc) Aguero (C)

    Myhill Boyd Vlaar Wisdom

Order good to go? Yes, I'm still one of those who holds RVP. Actually even had him 2nd half of last season and cost my mini league. The heart wants what the heart wants. No homo.

        already have

        current midfield is:
        Tadic, Fabregas, Hazard, Downing, Sigurdsson

need to transfer out Tadic so can bring in Austin and Costa for the FW spots

6.4m is an awkward price point. Downing at 6, or Chadli/Siggy at 6.7 are the stand-outs.

Punt on Fellaini for 3 weeks?

interesting--these suggestions of Fellaini for a bit

if you had this midfielder and forward line, which of the 8 would you bench?...

          Fellaini, Fabregas, Hazard, Downing, Sigurdsson
          Austin, Diego Costa, Aguero

Kind of relevant if you have FT, anything in the bank and which 5th mid you have. If it's for a hit though just play Hutton if Downing is a no show.

Ignore stupendous. No 1 in world has tv of 103.4.

It's all about the value players right now, they're the surprise targets of the season.
Like it was stated in Kalix's article, you could be in the top 2k, rolling up with a full team valued at roughly 85m or so.

Wish I'd jumped on a few more early bandwagons because my TV is only 101.8m. It isn't too worrying because if I make good decisions it won't affect my rank too much.

    to

Azpilicueta, Austin and Sigurdsson for -8 ? Yes or no?

Too many injury worries as I have Sakho, Fabregas, Naughton, Downing, Baines, STaylor...

Good to go mate. If you post any team different from template, it will be criticise for sure. But, Aguero/Sanchez should be in team(even if it means sacrificing Costa). But as discussed, Aguero can be brought next week. Proper combination of differentials and few templatish(consistent) players, and you will enjoy the game 🙂

Are there any 4.3m or below mids that start?

Have 2 freebies, no cash and no pressing issues, so looking at finally getting rid of this Albrighton troll.

Soo wilson wont be featuring in today's game which leaves me with Wisdom or Schulpp to play with

I'd play Schlupp and if he doesn't feature you'll just get Wisdom off of your bench

Yea and advantage with Schulpp is that he plays in the attacking mid and on Fpl he comes under defenders but thats only if he starts

Schlupp was one I looked at in preseason for just that reason, obviously hes not certain for game time but you might as well start him just in case he does play. He even has the easier fixture

Put Schlupp higher in the pecking order.

Haven't been around lately due to school but how does this look?

    Bego
    Baines, Clyne, Kaboul
    ADM, Sanchez, Milner, Siggy
    Aguero(c), Costa(vc), Austin

    Subs: xx, Boyd, Moore, Naylor

Everything in order? (Will sort Milner after this week)

I love hearing the different opinions of FFS at the only time I can really focus on FPL, 1:30 in the morning, the morning of the matches. With every response to every question I either think i'll manage to get by or I need to make a minor tweak or that I need to resign from FPL so that people dont have to see my terrifying RMT's on this forum 🙂 Now i've just have to figure out which direction I want to be pulled in

    1. baraka1670

Yes as either one of them is more likely to get more than 12 this Gw
      I just hope not Sanchez

      You really need sleep.

Then again, with ur squad, why not!!!

Having both and captaining one of those two will get your 12 back plus probably 20-25 .

Having neother you may as well start off -35-40

    1. Stupendous

Always a chance and with Nasri off the pace as always, Silva still out I can see it. However I fancy a pacy City side and as much as I prefer Milner ahead of our rb, can see Zaba and Navas on the right.

      Fernando. Yaya(meh)
      Milner. Jovetic. Navas
      Aguero

      Would suit me!

Alright I guess I'll start him. Should still get like 20 mins even if he doesn't.

Had to get rid me. Just one too many weeks of oh so nearly for me Milner

Fancy him to get u pts though. I won't be upset one bit. Needed him out, and Downing his replacement is set for a glorious run of fixtures now...

          Good luck!

        Fern. Yaya
        Navas. Jovetic. Nasri
        Aguero

Must win v Bayern wed, being Milners bench role this weekend

    Guzan, Given
    Clichy, Duff, Yun, Chambers, Wisdom
Di Maria, Sanchez, Chadli, Downing, Sigurdsson
    Austin, Diego Costa, Aguero

would like to have Baines (currently do), but not sure can fit it in
