The Big Numbers – Gameweek 12

We turn our attentions to the weekend’s nine matches now and delve into the data in our first member’s article of the week. Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham’s goalscoring midfielders arrive on our radar, whilst Swansea’s in-form frontman and Andy Carroll’s impact on West Ham’s style of play are also amongst this evening’s topics.

Baines, Chadli, Downing & Henderson are all listed at 75% chance of playing. That means, theoratically 3 of them should play.

None of them played!! I haven't even got enough substitutes.

At 22 now with 3 people left to play.

This. On 28 but with only 3 Soton players left. This gameweek has been so bad for me...

I don't think it does, they're each independent events, no causal relation

someone mentions something about that b4 the gw but of cos we know its independent event.

though its really unlucky that we have come to the worst situation where all 4 never play and to make it worse chadli is not even flagged back then.

Did Tottenham say anything about the potential length of Chadli's absence through injury?

Been nothing from Poch, but apparently it's a minor injury according to a spurs guy in the know

@realdealdanny Ade and Chadli are minor injuries. No idea on Younes and Capoue.

Great to know. The big decision of the week is whether to keep Chadli or Tadic. I think it's time for Tadic to go.

Lots of options with 2FT's (and a cheeky hit but I can't see past Clyne -> Azpi for free.

    Krul
    Azpi, Baines, Chambers, Hutton
    Fab, Sanchez, Downing
    Costa, Aguero, Pelle

    Bego, Boyd, Wanyama, Chester

    That'll do, right?

    Other options include:

Bego, Clyne, Pelle -> Elliot, Azpi, Bony for a -4 hit

      See previous page -

Austin better as more assured of starts and takes pens...

Unless Pelle convinces me otherwise tonight, with form and fixtures Xmas schedule, I will do this later this week:

Clyne, Pelle, ElAhmedi --> TERRY, SIGGY, AUSTIN (don't worry about the hits)

Look about right, or is anyone keeping their Southampton?

    1. Magic Box

Ditching Pelle. Keeping Clyne - everyone seems to forget that Southampton have one of the best defences in the league so far this season, potential attacking returns and the odd clean sheet. Clyne (or Bertrand) is a season keeper for me...

Because he scored and picked up bonus points.. Tough call Rooney or Costa I guess it depends if you have Chelsea or Man U cover in midfield if Chelsea might be worth a punt..
Costa on 4 yellows and doesn't pickup bonus points very offen but nice fixtures
Rooney playing deeper cheaper also nice fixtures

I've put him in this week but already have Costa and Aguero

    Guys, I have expensive ml in UCL, leading with 264, 2nd: 263, 3rd: 251.

I used my WC already and now got 2 injuries and 2 defenders not nailed. I need help!

    Moya / Soroko
Rakitskiy / Suchy / Lichtsteiner / SIQUIERA / FILIPE LUIS
    Hazard / James / Mario / REUS / LUCAS
    Luiz / CR7 / Alexis

Reus is definitely out but there is no expensive replacement, so looking for upgrading def.

    SIQUIERA/FILIPE/REUS > JUANFRAN/TERRY/KOKE (-4)

What do you think guys? Does it make sense to improve defenders from the same team to have 100% they start for hits ? Really appreciate your help!

I'd probably lose one of Haz / Fab so you could upgrade Clyne to Ivan/other Chels defender and get some nice clean sheet points.

nope. i doubt they can keep up but it remains to be seen whether their replacements can keep cs or not.

favorite replacements are swans westham chelsea DEF.

Swans are decent at home but many already has naylor so he is not really a replacement for many.

cresswell/tomkin look the standout option for westham but they are not keeping CS.

Personally am not fully convinced abt chelsea def but i think they are the most sensible option to replace soton def.

so i would say either pay 6m+ for che def..if not u will risk the fact that u might be worse off after the soton def sale

    Baines - Clyne - Bertrand - Hutton - Moore
    Sanchez - Fab - Siggy - Tadic - Boyd
    Aguero - Costa - Sakho

    2FT and 0.1 ITB

What would you do with 2FT this week with that squad? Will shift one of the SOU defenders. Quite keen on getting Hazard in

    Currently thinking -

    A) Fab, Tadic & Bert > Hazard, Bolasie & Azpi (-4)
    B) Fab, Tadic & Bert > Hazard, Oscar & Yun (-4)

Would Wanyama -> Dyer be like Frying Pan -> Fire?

Probably, I'd look at other options.

I know but top scoring MIDS under 5.4m are few and far between.

Is it for a 4th mid? I'd probably try to find funds from elsewhere to upgrade. It is tough, I'm trying to fund a Costa move and can't see any options other than Downing.

Swansea wingers is going to be like a merry-go round. But the fixtures are quite enticing.

I wouldn't be too confident with his minutes with Montero in there now.

Depends on whether you want a benchwarmer or not also.

if u are getting bony u need to get him right now for the next fixture to maximize your benefit of that move. otherwise you are just missing out on an opportunity to get good points

Trying to do something this week:

    A. Clyne to Cresswell
    B. Welbeck to Carroll
    C. Berahino to Austin
    D. Pieters to Caulker
    E. Pieters to McNair
    F. Clyne to Clichy
    G. Tadic to Willian

What is your top 3 transfers of this list?

I would avoid Terry, and I'd still fancy both Baines and Coleman over any Chelsea defender.
