I know I am late to the party but still looking to get Sanchez in. Is it worth it:

A - Get Sanchez for -4 by downgrading Baines or Clyne
B - Get Siggy back in for no hit (get Sanchez for ADM in 2 GWs)

Now is the perfect time to buy Siggy because of fixtures.

I do think Sanchez is going to have plenty more double figure gameweeks though, but you may be able to get away with B

Any people round here still own sterling?

If I had space, I'd consider signing him right now, ridiculous as that sounds given his bad form.

8.4 and liverpool have some brilliant fix. Or is Rodgers really going to continue to fail until he is sacked?

I agree with you. If I owned him I absolutely would not sell. Not even a consideration.

However I can't buy him either because I'd need to make an insane transfer!

Sterling is struggling for form and confidence, not easy for young players playing in a team that are getting beaten every week, especially when the fans see you as a star player already.

Without Suarez and Sturridge to help him shoulder the burden, I think best to avoid him for now.

    Forster McCarthy
    Clyne Naylor Chambers Moore Duff
Di Maria Sanchez Oscar Siggy Boyd
    Aguero Costa Austin

O FT, 1.8 ITB. (Already did Berahino > Austin)

Like everyone else I want to get rid of my Southampton assets. Is it worth it to take a -4 or -8 hit to replace one or both?

    A. Clyne > Ivan. I have exact cash for the transfer.
    B. Clyne > Ivan, Forster > Guzan (or another GK up 5.3)
    C. Clyne > Baines, Forster to > Guzan (or another 5.2 GK). Not sure on Baines' injury status though.

Looks like I'll be keeping also, despite strongly condidering selling given So'ton purple patch may be over for now. But injury galore probably makes other issues more pressing. And he won't drop this week at least since scoring yesterday. But if So'ton are in for a prolonged period without cs', he should hopefully drop in price by january to cancel out the TV loss.

Not really sure what to do with this would love get costa in somehow

    Heaton
    Baines Clyne Jenkinson
    Sanchez DiMaria Fabregas Siggy
    Aguero Pelle Austin

    gilks pva hutton marney

happy to get rid of pelle, but midfielders have good fixtures next week so need a push in some sort of direction.

Really considering Ings over the next 4 gameweeks instead of Austin as my Welbeck replacement.

3 home games including Villa who are missing Send and Vlaar. Guaranteed 90 mins. Burnley looked attacking at Stoke with 2 wingers. QPR had Barton, Fer, Sandro and Henry as their 4 midfielders on Saturday.

The away game is at QPR so its a decent 4 games for Ings.

Only downside is I have Boyd who will play if Downing misses out.

Sounds promising. But who in the same price range has the realistic potential of getting more CS than Soton? This is the key question. It's all very well looking at the probability that the Soton defenders will score less, but the transfer needs to be justified.

Is there any site more reliable than fiso for price changes? I'm thinking Forster+Tadic -> Courtois + Sterling, but I don't want to miss out in case Sterling will drop in price more before Tadic does

    C) ADM + Clyne + Pelle ---> Oscar + Naylor + Rooney (-4)
    D) Other.

I may be wrong about this, and please don't take my word for it, but I think Swansea may be about to dump on us, big time.

Go to FPL Transfers, and select form. See what you think.

Can't have been unexpected, though. Like early in the season when Leicester were streets ahead with shots conceded in the box, it's as much to do with the fixtures than it is the form of the team.

I have five yellows in downing, chadli, duff, baines and diame and yet i'm STILL considering shipping out bertrand, one of my only decent performers this week.

Am i getting too obsessed with fixtures? I no longer have any southampton players; would you keep bertrand over the next few games (if you had no other transfers forcing your hand)

I'm keeping Clyne. Always a chance for one of the best defensively-performing sides to get a surprise cleanie against one of the big boys. Plus attacking returns from Clyne/Bertrand are better than most defenders.

I'm keeping Toby in my squad as feel I have enough on the bench to come in and cover the tough games. With so many people having at least 1 of Forster / Bert / Clyne / Fonte / Toby, a Saints CS in any of their upcoming games will infuriate you.

Current team with nothing in the bank and one FT

    Krul McCarthy
    Baines Alderweireld chambers Naylor dummett
    Siggy downing ADM fab hazard
    Kun pelle Perez

Would love to just do Pelle to bony but am 0.1m short

    A) pelle/downing to bony/montero
    B) pelle/KUN to Rooney/bony
    c) pelle/fab to Rooney/midfielder under 7.4m
    D) pelle/Alderweireld to bony/caulker
    e) Costa in for pelle and fab out for someone under 6.5m
    F) anything else!!

Help much appreciated as i am stumped. I like the idea of Rooney but shipping KUN or fab for him seems daft too!

Had a terrible week, luckily only dropped from 1,000 to about 1,500.

Already did Forster > Fabianski. Got 1 FT left and 0.3 itb.

    Fabianski

    Baines Hutton Chambers

    Fabregas Sanchez Downing Siggy

    Costa Aguero Berahino

    4m, Duff, Clyne, Chadli.

    What would you do?

    A) Chambers + Chadli > Azpi + Wanyama (or any below 5.5)

    B) Try to get in Hazard or AdM? Worried about no Man Utd cover. Not sure how to do it.

    Appreciate any advice!

Yeah, agreed. A seems sensible and shores the defence up ahead of the next run of fixtures.

Fab + Costa for me slightly cancels Hazard out, so I'm OK with that. But I have no cover for AdM/Rooney points

Bout 1.1 mill off being able to do that. Quite like the idea of downgrading Costa and getting Hazard though. Frustrated with Costa lack of involvement beyond goals.

    Defenders this week are:

Clyne (MCI), Dummett (whu), Baines (tot), Cameron (liv), Duff (AVL)

Which 3 do I start? Should I get rid of Clyne and bring in Naylor/Rangel (for free) and start them?

    1. Park the bus
      • 13 Years

      Baines, Duff, Clyne.

Clyne will probably concede but City are poor at the back, always likely to concede themselves and with Clyne's attacking promise I would start him if I had him. I have Toby who will be benched in this game as he doesn't offer much other than clean sheet potential.
