True. My only issue is that I have Bellerin (so only two Arsenal spots left). Theo means I can only get one of Sanchez and Giroud. And I can't afford more than 9.6m for a third striker (Aguero and Kane currently).

cant get over it, thruout the season been quite hesitant to take any relative risk/reward scenarios in transfering in a player. ave had other players to transfer in for a haul and decided not so as to not take a hit.

I took a hut to get giroud earlier in the season. I captained him and he got sent off.
Buckloads of people did Giru to Defoe especially with the Sanchez news .... Almost seemed like a present for keeping an eye on the teamsheets just pre-deadline ... Still think it was a smart move at the time (Kind of).

FPL really should remove captaincy as a feature and simply add more scoring metrics, especially for defenders. Not all the way like UFPL have done but a nice middle ground. Simple is good, but this is a bit too simple. May as well call the game Fantasy Pick-A-Captain

not at all, I did OK with 21 points and 4 big hitters to come..my cap was Walcott..
but when you consider the fact that if my entire squad (transfers, etc. all) are held standard and I manage to cap my highest scorer week in and out I would be 100+ points clear of FIRST PLACE, it's obvious that captaincies are huge point drivers and all else is more negligibleI see where you're coming from. I had 8 great inital GWs captain wise and climbed rocketed followed by 8 terrible ones and plumeted. It's skewed like that. But the rush of getting it right makes up for it.

Agree with you to a degree. I used the basic FPL ruleset with small additions for tackles/interceptions in our draft league to great effect. Makes defensive mids viable choices (not explosive but decently consistent). Adds a bit to defenders as well. Forwards/Attacking mids still the most likely source of points but it makes the game far more balanced/interesting.
I think it could just be tweaked a bit, it's a massive point driver..almost makes all the nitpicking we do irrelevant as long as you pick a good captain

The first one wasn't even an assist and the second one was just because Rose tackled him in the penalty area, wouldn't deserve any bps imo
The defender kicked it towards Liverpool end-it hit Sturridge in the chest and deflected to his own player who was slightly ahead of him. There would not have been a goal but for his deflection-how can it not be an assist-read the rules, quite clear.
Didn't notice that the ball hit his chest though, my fault. Nonetheless he doesn't actually deserve any bps 😀
