Every week he says he doesn't like going against Stoke and he says Arsenal will win by a huge margin. This guy is so predictable 😆

    What would you do?

    A) Keep Lucas
    B) Lucas>Phillips (-4). Will probably work out to a -2 if Phillips blanks twice.
    C) Lucas>different 6.2M midfielders (-4).

    Cheers 🙂

      Nevermind actually 😆
Lucas>Phillips works out for free assuming Phillips scores 2pts each time and Lucas misses the City game.

Seems like a no brainer. Any other 6.2M midfielder or less you'd get?

    2FT

    GW27: Dummett to Dawson

GW28: Wisdom to Rose & ADM to Eriksen.

Or should i use both FT to get rid of Wisdom now? IF i do this, i cant get Eriksen unless i take a hit in GW28 due to funds.

Sorry chaps, need a hand please. Lining up like this for this GW:

    Krul
Haidara Jones Clyne Hutton (injured - 50/50)
    JWP ADM Silva Cazorla
    Giroud Aguero (c)

    Panti Terry Hazard Kane

1FT with 0.2 in the bank. Was planning on using 2 FTs next week to bring in Austin and Eriksen, although it now sounds like Hutton will likely miss this week through injury leaving me with 10, but with a FT.

    1) Sit, play 10 knowing most will have similar situation - 2 FTs next week
    2) Hutton > cheap defender (cant really find anyone worth having)
    3) Hazard > Downing / Ozil (bench hutton - required to get Hazard back in 2 weeks)
    4) Terry > Cresswell (against Palace at home)

    1. Nobodinho

1 imo. I'm playing with 10 as well.

Hutton to Dawson seems like a transfer worth making given the rest of your defense. Should be useful moving forward as well. Just take a hit in 28, not a big deal, many will be taking hits anyway.

    3. Suarezista

      1 imo

Lots of people seem to be kicking out PVA because he might not play but, realistically, we'd have been looking at 1-2 points anyway. A 1-pointer (at least) is still very conceivable.

If you have 2FTs and PVA is your biggest worry, I'd consider looking at your keepers....

    1. Walsh
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 10 Years

I don't follow. What do your keepers have to do with getting rid of a dropped defender?

      1. Simon March
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

So, assuming you have 11 starters (or 10 - 10.5 in the case of PVA) your FT might be better used optimising your non-playing keeper. Green, for example, has a DGW next week.

          • 11 Years

Problem is with that dufflinks is that you are then stuck with green or need to use a transfer to shift him out again

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member
          • 10 Years

Green will be lucky to get more than 3 or 4 points in the DGW though. Lloris far too expensive to carry along with another playing keeper, I'd think. But cheers for the explanation - was just flat out confused as to what you were hinting at 😀

            • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Ah well if you've got Lloris you're basically golden! For people like me running the cheapo Krul / Foster combo, I noticed that Green / Foster seems to work better up until about GW34, with a DGW thrown in.

Then again, as Zan Keroski hints, it is still Green and QPR....

I'd rather start Foster at Villa over Green in the DGW without a shadow of a doubt.

Krul great for this game week and after GW33. Foster has good stuff pre GW34, GOOD ROTATION. Only concern is GW30

The alternative is Krul -> Guzan - doesn't work.

I'm thinking Foster / Green which gives you:

                ARS+TOT / STO / EVE / LEI / cpl or avl / WHM

Green is bound to face at least one penalty in the DGW. 😉

Good point, especially if you have to play Panti this week.

To add to your suggestion, I'd even consider a punt if you have Defoe. Many good cheap strikers this week to punt on

I've been using that logic as well though replacing him now may be the only time you spend a transfer back there for some time so long term could make sense to get a nailed on replacement

Yeah I agree, it's always a good policy to first have players who will actually play but there aren't a ton of better option in or near PVA's price range (except maybe Naughton). If you happen to have a surplus of FTFs and big hitters where you won't lose value, this is the week to either take a punt or plan for the future imo.

My defence is suddenly in tatters. I'll be lucky to get one start out of bellarin, Hutton, PVA

There is part of me that wants to forget all that and still take a punt up front on a Defoe replacement.

Been feeling sakho all week and think the lure of the one week punt may be too strong. Part justified that his price fall would price me out of a cheeky rose punt next week

Just wait for Austin for the DGW. He's been fantastic all year. 14 goals and 4 assists in 23 games for that price is good. His form has dipped but his price is still good!

Jeez that is tough...I guess I'd lean towards Azpil and PvA out so you can get a full outfit out this week. I'd go for another Saints defender and a Pulis defender I guess. I guess you could get rid of Toby if you are sick of waiting for him and keep Azpil..

Yep, you're a chelsea fan i presume? How do you feel about Azpi as an option for the dgw? 1 or 2 games?

Have waited so long for Toby, will probably keep him and get rid of PVA instead, and hope the former is back in midweek

Chelsea fan a bit. Chelsea Dagger more the theme song for my Chicago Blackhawks. I just sold Azpilicueta as I don't have confidence that he won't be rotated. Only Ivan and Terry seem truly safe

Great front seven for this week Demi, better than many.
In your situation, I'd take Azpi or PvA out.

From that team, I'd want to get rid of Jones, PvA, Azpi, and AdM in the near future. Based on that and your priority to out out an XI this week it has to be Azpi or PvA out, IMO. I'm guessing you'll be doing AdM to Eriksen next week, no? If so, I'd arrange the funds to upgrade Azpi to Ivan soon with that downgrade.

Cheers Zasa. It's just a front 6 i'm afraid, no Kane or Hazard this week.

Agree on Pva and Azpi, and yeah.. looking to get Eriksen for ADM next week. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I can understand, still a dilemma many have and you have a great selection of Cork, Mane, and AdM for this week as great differentials to boost your chances of breaking the top10k template. You're very well set-up for this week and have 2 FT's too boot!

Np, and fwiw I'm an advocate of keeping PvA, simply because he still has a slim chance of an injury happening in the current Sunderland backline and albeit not likely, could still be a risk worth holding onto. He's also the cheapest option and you have 0 money ITB, so I don't think there's much to choose from at 4.3m.

          Could this possible?
          This week, Azpi to....?
Next week, AdM to Eriksen and PvA to Ivan?

I'm thinking of taking an 8pt hit over the next 2 weeks.

Will be getting all three of Walker, Eriksen and Austin next week, but £ isn't a problem as i'll be losing Giroud and Di Maria.

Only decision is which 2 defenders are the best choices to sell and which two to get. Thinking about the likes of Lescott, Clark, Naughton and Tripper. Selling PVA + 1 more as it stands.

              All three? 😯 8 point hit 😯

Can you lower that to a 4 point hit and no Spurs defense? Or are you set on that for sure?

PvA and Azpi would be my two choices only IF, that entails backward transfer to Ivan to replace him. If not, I'd without a doubt sell Jones instead of Azpi . Spurs, Pool and City in their next six doesn't bode well at on paper at least for a clean sheet

I think going off recent form midweek, many will say Sanchez is inferior right now for captaincy.
Consecutive blanks for Sanchez in all Arsenal matches, facing a dire Everton side. Aguero on fire, scoring at will and facing a depleted (in most senses of the word), Liverpool outfit.

I think stars are aligning for an Aguero captain call right now. That said, I'm being daft and captaining Sanchez 😉

I mean not really my intention - I think I am just stating facts - but his arrogance and holier-than-thou attitude gets to me like none other. I respect that he knows his stuff and really has it together from an FPL standpoint and I, like RCA, read his blog to see what's going on there, but I just wish he was a nice likeable guy like the vast, vast majority of the posters on here. But, such is life.

Your blog in an enjoyable read and is part of my regular ff content I follow each week

I'm sure the transfer hub is great but slagging off these forums puts me and obviously others off side and is making me less likely to go there rather than more. As a suggestion, perhaps just talk up your own alternative on your site and let people draw their own conclusions about where they want to hang out on match days and other times.

I agree on your take on Zouma, him having 0% of playing this GW and coupled with being the inferior Chelsea defender gives him the boot. Also, Hammers away and Saints at home aren't the best defensive fixtures on paper like you said, but from an offensive standpoint it's definitely Ivan that benefits the most from those matches and getting him also saves a likely future transfer for Gw34.

With 2 FT's, have you considered taking Defoe out prematurely?

What are your con reasons? Are you that sure that he won't start one of the games? For me, they have good enough fixtures after the DGW that I will be happy to give him a little bit of an extended run in my midfield. I really haven't a clue if he will go both games, come off early, play full 90 and be dead tired, but the ownership factor will be off the charts I think for him in the DGW and it will be just a safety thing to have him as he could explode. He does seem to have that tendency to show up with double digit hauls when no one expects it.

I won't deny that I have a bitter taste in my mouth. Ditching Kane before two braces will do that. But the fact remains that he's done little to not for a month. And the real concern is Poch. He seems to think he can get by here and there with one of Eriksen/Kane here and there but obviously it's never Kane that sits in the league. So no, not confident he gets two proper run outs in the DGW. And his form inspires nothing at the moment.

Yeah his form is certainly not there but I still find him to be one of if not the most unpredictable FPL asset. Sort of like a Silva type where you have to just close your eyes and stick him in for a while to reap the returns rather than yo-yoing him out based on fixtures / current form to get returns that way. Just a tricky player.

I think eriksen is the 2nd best player to have for next week after Kane.

He is 3rd top scoring Mf overall brings both goal threat and assist potential. Takes direct and indirect free kicks and corners. And has only not started one game where he came on at half time because we were sh1t without him. He does get dragged early sometimes but that's how he generally gets his rest. I'd expect between about 120 - 170 minutes for him overall across 2 decent fixtures.

Going forward Spurs fixture congestion is done, spurs have decent fixtures and he is nailed

That's a rather decent case you make, Zan. Will take it into consideration. FWIW I rate him highly. I'd have him at United in a heartbeat. Scared to death Caz will be rested and I'll end up with eight or nine starters the GW.

My midfield and defenders were a nightmare so that is where my transfer attention had to be, but I envy anyone with a transfer to spend on a forward this week.

Cisse, Sakho, Rooney, even a flyer on Bony or Dzeko...amazing differential options this week.

Rooney for me. Just a question of whether or not to take the punt on captaining him or play it safe with Kun.

I've been set on playing WC next week to go Kane, Vert & Erik with Austin & possibly Caulker or Yun but keeping my Citeh & Chelsea coverage with 1/2 an eye on Che/Lei DGW. I realise gw33/34 looks a good time but having left WC that late before I felt it's impact was ltd.
Any thoughts, is next week a good time to play it?

I'd probably wait. I really can't see that much of an explosive opportunity with a Spurs and QPR DGW. I'd just wait.

I think thats a waste of a WC. I guess you have at least one of Kane and Erik already?
One FT to get Erik in. If 2 FT maybe a TOT defender. No need at all for a QPR defender
Also guessing you have two CH already? Easy to get one more in before 33/34

Have been seeing some speculation about a possible blockbuster around gw34. Could be good to wait.

Horrible time to play it IMO, Gnu. Don't waste it here man. Relatively low ceiling and chances to outscore the crowds of people getting only Kane, Eriksen and Austin for the DGW. I'd argue it puts you a worse position seeing as you'll have Rangers deadwood on your side.

Gw34 and beyond is when I'm playing it at least

Thanks guys although these are all the wrong answer 😉
Guess you're all right, Kane Eriksen & Austin for -4 is probably the sensible choice which is possibly why I was avoiding it........

    Defence:
    Bruce, Clyne, Bellerin and Baird.

2 FT. Should I move Bellerin or Baird out first?

    Rest of team:
    Mids: Cazorla, Sanchez, ADM, Walters
    Fwds: Aguero, Ings

    Bench: Terry, Hazard, Kane

Baird by a distance. You look to be in great shape, Dragon. Looks like an easy Baird out and float the other.

Ah. Don't have one. I don't ever really drink it. My father just had a bottle he bought and said he wasn't going to drink it. So, I nabbed it. I'll check on the brand for what I'm guzzlin' down now and get back to you in a second.
