Why is it a 'maybe' for 37

Im asking because I still have my WC and I am itching to use it for the coming DGW
I reckon bringing in 3 spurs and 3 qpr could really give a nice boost

FA Cup final from memory. GW34 is the likely big one. Wouldn't really WC this week.

Its the Chelsea one i know but i reckon my rivals will all likely have 3 chelsea players anyway
This is the one where it could really be a differential

The Chelsea one is likely to have more teams. GW33 is likely to be a major blank GW with more missing games.

Eriksen but you need both at present.

Caz/Sanchez/Silva/Haz is the ideal four and I'm probably going to boot Sanchez for Eriksen with the dgw in mind.

        • 9 Years

I have the same four but would boot Caz out

He has stop taking shots + sending in keypass

Sanchez still taking shots + key passes

Caz sits too deep but more nailed now that wilshit is out

Yes but look at the points in their last 6-7 games: 48 plays 30.

Sanchez has only had one decent score in that time. Caz has had three double digit pointers and is on pens which ARS seem to get a lot of.

              Caz for me.

Sanchez has been injured though, before his 2 or 3 games out he scored 19 points in one game and people seem to forget that he's that explosive.

Would be a huge mistake getting rid going forward.

Noted. I had factored that in by including the games prior to the injury. I'm a little concerned that others are influencing his output.

The ideal would be to own Caz and Sanchez but Eriksen is a necessity for the dgw imo.

Who's the rest of your mf?

I'm lucky that I went for a 5 man mf so it's a case of losing Walcott or if Walcott does well today I would lose Cazorla.

I take your point but I think Cazorla is more likely to start being benched than Sanchez in the run in if everyone is fit as he certainly won't bench Ozil.

Ramsey and Wilshere coming back complicates the issue but I'd say Sanchez and Ozil are the two most likely to keep their places regardless of how they perform simply because he spent so much money on them, the rest could be at risk.

I own Cazorla and will jump off as soon as Ramsey is passed fit, he becomes in that risk zone for me then.

Jeez...what's happened to you? You're normally a nasty so and so on here. 😉

My view is that I would rather have four heavies in midpark and a cheapo like Boyd to avoid bench points. I always play three forwards.

Do you think AW will bench Caz with the form he is?

                        I still am, its early!

Not right now I don't but I won't be risking it when Ramsey and Wilshere are available, his points have been largely influenced by his pens so I think I will pat him on the back and move on then.

It will be even worse if Arteta comes back, we've had a good run with him but time to start thinking of an exit plan.

I'm even benching him in 28, gonna play Silva, Sanchez, Eriksen and Hazard so I'm thinking he's one too many as it is.

WBA are now managed by a gentleman called Tony Pulis. Everywhere he goes, he has this ability to keep clean sheets. He has this system, see, where defenders work in such a way, that there is no way past for opposing forwards.

I would strongly urge you to get three WBA defenders el pronto. All the Cool Kids have already done this 😉

Is it correct to assume whoever wins in the next round of the FA Cup will have a DGW later on this season since the semis are scheduled for 18/19 April (GW33)? If this assumption is wrong, ignore the below 🙂

6th round FA Cup fixtures (PL teams only)
    - AVL vs WBA
    - LIV vs Blackburn
    - United vs Arsenal

GW33 fixtures for the above teams that could be postponed, obviously only for the PL teams that make the semis (ie DGW for both teams in the fixture)

    Arsenal vs Sunderland
    Crystal Palace vs WBA
    Hull vs Liverpool
    Chelsea vs United
    Villa vs QPR

Seems like FPL wise, the United vs Arsenal 6th round tie would be the most crucial - given alot of our teams at the moment are filled with ARS/SUN/CHE/UTD players.

Plus, United making the semis would make 3 Chelsea assets almost essential for the run-in with 2 sets of DGWs.

34 seems ideal. Try and get a full team GW33 then go hard 34.

GW34 looks like the peach GW to use the WC, given there could be substantial blanks in 33. Arsenal and WBA moving to the next round would create some havoc alright.

Would mean Arsenal, Sunderland, Palace and WBA assets blanking in GW33 😯

But all this is conjecture at this point. No harm discussing though

I'm not sure it will be harder to plan for tbh, most people already have a few Arsenal players so those could be benched and there ain't many from the rest that you would want anyway Who are not easily achievable.

You will simply have to start rolling transfers over once 28 is over and start adapting then because the Quarters are all after 28 so you will know who's missing in time for when 29 starts so can act according to it then.

There will be 5 free transfers leading up to 33.

It won't be hard to plan for sure, but it would be difficult to fully maximize the DGWs AND navigate the blanks without a WC.

Example, one could plan for a number of GW33 blanks but then are left with just 1/2 transfers to maximize the DGW34.

In any case, a WC would still be more ideal than without

Yeah, but it's the same situation as this week, but with far more teams. Blanks followed immediately by a DGW. You can't bench everyone.

Meanwhile the ones with WCs can sell all their players ahead of the blank getting a strong GW33 side out, then WC to set up for the remaining DGWs and rest of the season.

But my point is you will know the semis before 29, most will own Arsenal or Chelsea, only one will be absent then you have 5 moves to move out the rest.

Let's face it, it's only Arsenal and Chelsea players that would make that double, United and Liverpool haven't exactly pulled up trees and I'm not sure many will fill their teams with the rest of this teams like very few are taming themselves with QPR this week.

They will be disappointing like 28 will be.

Which is exactly why a WC would be useful - the majority would have the popular owned players - it's the supporting cast that will count in big DGWs.

Not saying it won't be a massive advantage but I also don't think it will be that hard to navigate.

You will have 5 moves to plan.

Let's say WBA, United and Liverpool win.

I think that scenario would be hard to manage. You'll probably bench 2 Chelsea at least.

I did that's why I was surprised. 3 key passes (same as Schneiderlin and 1 more than most), 0 tackles, clearances and blocks, just the 1 interception. Basically 4 accurate crosses. Didn't realize that carried so much weight.

big to differ there. If Arsenal and WBA go to the next round, blanks in GW33 for Arsenal, Sunderland, WBA and Palace assets. This isn't including Bruce/McShane and Sterling.

I'm considering this -4 hit - Sanchez & Mane out, Eriksen & Silva in

    Foster (Panti)
Ivanovic, Bertrand, C. Dawson (Naughton, PVA)
    Hazard, Cazorla, Silva, Eriksen (Boyd)
    Aguero, Kane (c), Giroud

Just to clarify. Since Spurs & QPR play twice it pays to captain either a Spurs or QPR player because you can't change captains. Am I correct.

    Thanks.

Wait it out. Sanchez definitely has it in him to come back and dish out some goals. On the other hand, I don't think Silva has it in him to continue this mini streak...just not that type of player (imo). I think an FFS member wrote an article about his season trends and numbers and even in light of his recent performances, he is not expected to maintain it.

Thanks boys. I definitely will be waiting. I've been waiting for Silva's streak to end but it doesn't look like subsiding. I have a soft spot for Cazorla because people write him off but he keeps delivering. Sanchez is a gun but atm he's lost his mojo but you're right in that he could explode at any minute.

Bizarre performances by Pakistan and England this World Cup. Guess they got scr*ed by the loss of Hafeez, Ajmal, Gul, Junaid Khan. Misbah is the most useless captain ever and it seems like he's always concerned with remaning not out on a high fifty every game while playing at a ridiculously slow pace.

On another note, I find it unacceptable in this day and age bowlers can't bowl without some degree of chucking. I mean come on! If it's doubtful, then bowl with a clearer action. Your country is suffering now you idiots after all those rather meaningless conquests.

Don't do it.It's really not an ideal DGW with QPR and Spurs getting it. I have a frontline of Kun, Sturridge and Kane and I'm keeping that. Given Austin's recent form it's not a lot to expect either Kun or Sturridge (LEI and BUR respectively) to match him over his two game against Arsenal and Spurs 🙂
