Fantasy Indian Premier League 2015

After the fun and frenzy of the cricket World Cup, I present to you the Fantasy IPL 2015. The tournament gets under way on the 8th of April and cricket and Fantasy sports fans in general can register for the Fantasy IPL game here. Upon doing so, you’ll be sent a verification email which you must click on to complete registration and create your team. Below is a list of the rules, including how scoring and transfers work, and at the end, you can find the code to join the FFScout league for the Fantasy IPL game.

THE RULES

SELECTING AN XI:

For Tournament Mode and Match Mode, you have 1 million Credits to build a squad of 11 players. Each player has been assigned roles (batsman, all-rounder, wicket keeper, bowler), and a price (ranging from 60,000 Credits to 110,000 Credits).

    • Squad Balance:
    • four or five batsmen.
    • At least one all-rounder.
    • Exactly one wicket keeper (you can pick variable role wicket keepers as batsmen)
    • At least two bowlers.
  • Team Spread: Not more than six players from any one ICC Cricket World Cup team.
  • Overseas Limit: You can pick a maximum of four overseas players in your squad.
  • Uncapped Quota: Your squad must have at least one uncapped player. An uncapped player is an Indian cricketer who has not played in any ODIs, Tests or T20 Internationals.
  • Once you have selected a squad, you can pick any one player from your XI to be the Power Player. Your Power Player earns you double points, so he can make a big difference to your score. Your XI will start earning points from the next match.
  • Remember, for Match Mode, you need to select a new XI for each match. You have to select your squad, and choose your Power Player before the first ball of a match is bowled. Winners will be declared for each match based on the points scored.

SCORING

Batting Points

  • Base Score: 1 point per run.
  • Impact Score: 2 points per six, -5 for a duck.
  • Milestone Bonus: 10 points for every 25 runs scored.
  • Pace Bonus: Runs Scored – Balls faced.

Bowling Points

  • Base Score: 20 points per wicket.
  • Impact Score: 1 point per dot ball, 20 points for a maiden over.

Fielding Points

  • Catch: 10 points.
  • Stumping: 15 points.
  • Direct Hit: 15 points.
  • Run Out: 10 points for each player involved.

Bonus Points

  • Player of the Match: 25 points.
  • Victory bonus: 5 points for victory in League Stage. 10 points for victory in Playoffs.
  • Milestone Bonus: 10 pointsfor the 2nd wicket, 10 points for each subsequent wicket.
  • Pace Bonus: 1.5 x Balls – Runs conceded. If it is positive, it is doubled.

CHANGING YOUR SQUAD

Substitutions

Before the tournament: Unlimited subs.

Match 1 to Match 56: 75 subs.

After Match 56 and before Qualifier 1: Unlimited subs.
Qualifier 1 to Final: 10 subs.

LOCK IN, POWER PLAYER & UNCAPPED SUBS

  • Teams are locked when the first ball of a match is bowled.
Changes made after the first ball of a match is bowled will not affect points earned in that match. So if you drop a player after the first ball of the match is bowled, he’ll still earn points for you in that match.
  • For the Daily Challenge, you can make unlimited substitutions till the first ball of the first match of the day is bowled. You cannot make any changes to your squad for that day after the first ball of the day is bowled.
  • You can change your Power Player as many times as you want. So remember to change it for every match.
  • Every match, you can bring in one uncapped player into the squad without it counting as a substitution. So, picking an uncapped player for each match is a great strategy.

STEALTH MODE

Every hotly contested league has a few crucial matches, when you’re making critical substitutions and trying to earn as many points as possible. In such cases, hiding your squad changes from opponents adds a massive strategic advantage.

Stealth Mode is a feature that lets you do exactly that. You can activate Stealth Mode in the Confirm Substitutions panel in the Change Squad page.

Once activated, other users will not be able to see your current squad. Instead, when they visit your page, they will see the squad and updated time for the previous match. There will be no indication that you are in Stealth Mode, it will simply look like you’ve made no changes since the previous match.

If you are in Stealth Mode, you can make any number of changes and none of them will be visible. Your new squad is revealed only after the next lock-in.

You can activate Stealth Mode for any five matches of your choice, from Match 2 onwards.

SCHEDULED SUBSTITUTIONS

There may be days on which you are unable to make substitutions because you may be travelling, stuck in a meeting or stranded on a desert island. In such situations, scheduling your substitutions beforehand is a big relief.

The Scheduled Substitutions feature lets you schedule changes one match in advance, by clicking on the “Schedule Substitutions” link on your home page. You can also review or cancel scheduled subs from your homepage.

You can only schedule subs for the match after the next one. So if the next match is Match 5, you can schedule squad changes for Match 6.

All Scheduled Substitutions for a match will be automatically performed after the lock-in of the previous match.

Warning: If you have subs scheduled for a match, you cannot make changes to your squad unless you cancel those scheduled subs.

You can also choose to activate Stealth Mode along with your Scheduled Substitutions.

The Scheduled Substitutions feature can be used any number of times.

In Match Mode, you choose a new squad for each match. You can make unlimited changes to this squad and the Power Player till the first ball of the match is bowled.

The code to join the FFS league is 17538.

I’d be happy to help with potential starting elevens and if you need help scouting Indian players.

Dhawan has easier and more games. Well 1 more, the one tonight.

Harbhajan gives you two ways of scoring.

Tough but gotta go with the All rounder for me.

Checking out teams above me in FFS , quite surprised to see a number without Uthappa and Russel.
2 musts imo, ala Warner for SRH ( all have him ) Can fail but you should be covering on these guys ?

This was last game I went without them. Gonna be in my team for all the games now.

Just couldn't fit them in. Invested too much in DD. So did not have room for them this game.

Same here, didn't have either. Was a big risk not picking Warner or Uthappa as my only option to fit them were to remove ABD who's due a big score. Considering RCBs next match is at Benguluru with clear weather, I resisted the move and brought in a more reliable batsman in Manish Pandey. Luckily worked out. Though Uthappa scored pretty good today, wasn't as bad as it could have been. Russell's(PP) last over was a boon

Yeah , loved that last over. Damn , had Pandey most games , went for Yadav this one. But had B Sharma , so all ok

Bipul was a good option since it was a turning track. His run out was terrible though. Had more scope of batting points out there. Pandey and Yadav are both equally good and hard to choose from. Went for Pandey this time since he is a very good player of spin and SRH had two not so good spinners in the middle overs

Warner looks like a no brainer all games. Will miss sometimes, well dodged. Uthappa in pretty good form also

Warner rarely does well during chasing and in spinning pitches.

Niiiiiice! Top work sir. I did pretty well as far as i can see. Sunday was complete guesswork as i had been out to watch the fight then went to Chelsea. But in the last week jumped from 40k to 2k. And up to 11 in FFS league as opposed to 50th.

So you got eyes on pushing to win? Do the peeps around you have many subs?

Doubt winning will be an option, but will just keep "pushing" . Yeah got by light in some games. Also up from around 69k couple weeks back.
More Top work from you BR !. Subs I have 27 left , so not too bad , 19 in ffs league

Cheers. Don't think I'll be able to win our league, the guy in 2nd has 12,650 points and 32 subs, I have 12,359 points and only 19 subs. My main aim is to get into the top 50 overall.

Wow. yeah that is a gap to close. But fantastic work from you so far Perch. A couple of different captains could make all the difference and you have still have at least 1 sub per game. Ok top 50 it is. When you get there can we try and push you for top 10!
