Mondogoal are turning up the heat on their end of season £30,000 World Championship, offering up a “Super Qualifier” contest with no less than five qualifying spots up for grabs.
With last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout lineup falling short of a top spot, the £10 entry contest offers us all a timely option to up our chances of being in the hat for the £10,000 top prize on the final day of the season.
The £30,000 World Championship
How Does it Work?
So far, there are 110 qualifiers in place for the final Gameweek contest. To qualify, you need to win one of Mondogoal’s £30k qualifying contests.
You can enter these for just £2 but, as mentioned, this weekend there’s a “Super Qualifier” available – offering the opportunity to claim one of five spots for a £10 entry fee.
How Do I Enter?
Mondogoal are running three more qualifying contests this weekend. You have until 12.35 on Saturday to select your line-up for either the £2, £10 or £50 contests.
If you’re consistent with your picks you may even be able to progress with more than one team – you can have up to ten entries in the Championship final come May.
Don’t forget, you can enter multiple contests with the same Mondogoal line-up with the click of a button.
Having multiple teams will obviously increase your outlay but, with the ability to block out defences, you’ll certainly be increasing your chances of hitting a big score.
Once you’ve created your squad for one contest, go to your list of entries, click on a contest and then click “Enter This Line-up in Other Contests”.
FF Scout Gameweek 34 Picks
Mondogoal provides the perfect antidote to our double Gameweek headaches this weekend: we can banish any obsession with capitalising on the Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester squads and consider those players with just a single fixtures over the weekend programme.
This brings the likes of Newcastle, Crystal Palace and, in particular, QPR into the reckoning as sources of Fantasy talent.
Indeed, we’re backing Chris Ramsey’s side heavily with our current Mondogoal selection, as they prepare for a must-win Loftus Road meeting with London rivals West Ham. The Hammers are in a malaise right now, struggling for form with uncertainty surrounding Sam Allardyce’s future at the club. We’re looking to capitalise on this by putting our faith in four of the R’s assets – including Rob Green in goal and the attacking menace of Matt Phillips and, of course, goal-getter Charlie Austin.
Palaces’ Scott Dann and Newcastle’s Ryan Taylor are our defensive enablers this week, priced at 5.8 and 6.2 respectively. The pair offer points potential at both ends of the pitch, with Taylor having been deployed in a midfield role last time out and up against a Swansea side who are lacking a proven goal threat with Bafétimbi Gomis on the sidelines.
We’ve found room for both Liverpool and Leicester assets this week, despite both facing tricky away encounters. With the risk of Eden Hazard’s attacking potential being tempered by limited ambition at the Emirates, we’ve looked instead to both Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho to provide the midfield spark. They face a trip to the Hawthorns to take on a West Brom side that have shipped seven goals in their last two home matches.
Jamie Vardy is our lone Leicester representative – his pace and tenacity will be key to the Foxes quest for a fourth straight win when they visit Turf Moor. Goals look likely in this crunch encounter and, having returned in three of his last four, we’ve faith in the 6.8 asset delivering.
The lineup is completed by two in-form targets. We’re struggling to see struggling Hull City coping with the pace and power of Yannick Bolasie at Selhurst Park, while Sergio Aguero has to be backed for more goals given that Villa’s vibrant attack are likely to draw the sting from champions City at the Etihad.
A reminder that this week’s Mondogoal contests close at 12.35 on Saturday, giving us the opportunity to scan the teamsheet at St Mary’s prior to locking down our lineup.
