The Numbers Game – Double Gameweek Form

With the final double Gameweek of the season almost upon us, we turn our attentions to the Opta statistics to assess the recent form of Arsenal and Sunderland.

Using the team profile data, we take a look at both sides displays from Gameweek 30-36 – a period of time that saw them play six times apiece and one that coincides with Dick Advocaat’s arrival at the Stadium of Light.

How did you 365ers get on? Ronaldo FGS?

Good game and great result. So glad i haven't gotta sit through another Braca - Real game!!!

Last night was the first time I'd tried the in-play money back offer and I played it safe and made £18.75. Tonight, I took a risk and backed Real Madrid to win before the game then only backed the draw in-play.

If I'd waited 30 secs, I would've seen the Real Madrid goal and could've backed the draw at much higher odds! Once Juve got the equaliser I needed to hedge my bets and cover Juve snatching a winner.

It all ended up being; RM win = £10, draw = £60, Juve win = £20.

So up £78.75 over the 2 nights. Happy with that!

Learnt a few lessons about not being greedy and hedging your bets no matter how unlikely that result happening (RM 1-0 up had Juve at 16/1 to win, so should've taken £5 profit and covered that result).

Still, absolutely no risk last night and little risk tonight and I've made £80, so can't complain.

Instinct was Ronaldo FGS but I got greedy and went Ramos AGS. It was 3/1 v 5/1 so wasn't even that good! Oh well, maybe next time 🙂

La Liga isn't miles better than the prem, but the prem is definitely not far ahead of La Liga either, not matter how "exciting" it is 😉 *cough* Sky bullsh*t *cough*

When I was younger, the Irish care system really let me down.

Growing up, my dad would beat me every week without fail. This went on for years until, one day, I finally plucked up the courage to phone Childline.

However, upon a thorough investigation, the so called childcare experts decided that constantly topping my high-score on Pac-Man, donkey kong and Outrun did not constitute abuse.

They're performing similarly in terms of the build up play (mostly crap) but the difference is Ronaldo is still getting into those number 9 positions and is actually finishing chances. Bale just isn't firing at the moment in front of goal.

I agree massively that Bale is being made a scapegoat, but that's what happens when you're bought for more money than Ronaldo and don't perform to half the same standard.
€100m could have bought nearly anyone in the world.

I think (being serious) there must be some serious problems all round there tho I am uneducated just what I hear in the media etc by all accounts Bale isn't liked in the dressing room and Carli wanted to drop Bale but the president intervened-seems like a soap opera tbh,
Tho I do know this result will have its casualties.

I think this result just killed Bale, Ancelotti and Casillas, maybe even Hernandez too. Madrid will probably want to shed the feeling of this season and start afresh, as crazy as it sounds after finishing 2nd and getting to the CL semi 😛

It seems that Ronaldo likes at least Benzema and James, apparently because they, particularly Benzema, have understood that their role is to play scoring chances to Ronaldo.

So, it's not that Ronaldo doesn't like anybody but himself. He only doesn't like players who try things other than improving Ronaldo's goal tally.

No, I think it's Ancelotti and co who should be blamed. They shouldn't give Ronaldo more importance than he deserves. Ronaldo hasn't been behaving well recently and the coach should take the necessary measure to amend this. He is not bigger than the club and I am a big Ronaldo fan.

Italian football isn't that great. Agree with Madrid, Barca but not PSG

How can the champions of 2013/14 and the champions twice over the past 4 seasons who are second currently be the 3rd best team in England?

City still have only once advanced from the group stage in CL and then were knocked out immediately. PSG in QF's twice in three years, this year beat the by far best PL team in CL despite an unfair red card and a huge injury crisis. Juve is in final this year. Maybe English football isn't that great.

I remember United in 94-97 being absolutely dog turd in the European Cup and the rhetoric was " we need the experience"
Don't see why United were lauded whilst City are persecuted

Memphis is coming from a really different league. Hopeful as he is Dutch trained and has been great in Eredivisie at such a young age, and as a winger. But very hard to say how he'll transition.

City will no doubt sign a big player or two who should, realistically, make a big impact. Chelsea may look for another big one as well. Not sure what Arsenal will do in terms of players from outside the prem, same goes for Pool.

They sold Makelele the last time they won the CL.
Not the sharpest bunch, are they?

They have Khedira and Illaramendi, they just choose not to use them for some reason.

It's hard to be successful as a team when you have a player in your team who wants to steal all the limelight.

because Ivan is a magnet for yellow cards and terry has goal threat from corners and cheaper. Good enough?

    Lost at end of page

    Rrrrrrrepost!

Hi everyone don't normally post my team, but I have EXACTLY THE SAME POINTS as my money league rival.

    Team:

    Pants
    Coleman | Skertal | Creswell | PVA | Berty

    Hazard | Ramsey | Henderson | Silva | Boyd

    Aguero | Giroud | Benetke

    -----

    I'm thinking:
    -4 hit for:
Haz + Coleaman out -> Sanchez + Schlup (play next week) / Sanchez + Kolarov

    Right moves?
