Thoughts on this side? Have 2 FT's, so need to do something, but what? Feel every player might do good this week:

    Ruddy / Butland

Sagna - Clyne - Gomez (Martin - Coates)

    Sanchez - Pedro - Yaya - Mahrez (4.5)

    Aguero - Benteke - Wilson

    0.1 ITB and 2 FT

Morning everyone, who would you see as best Shaw replacement long term - may keep him for another week if Pedro is definitely out too.

    current defense:
    Myhill McCarthy
    Kolarov, Muniesa, Francis, Cathcart, Shaw*

Yeah, poor kid. His career was starting to take off.

I feel fortunate as a Darmian owner. I was even considering the Shaw switch this week if I decided to keep Costa (unlikely)

Yeah the lad had a bad break.

However, I'm not sure the Damian owners feel so sorry for their Shaw counterparts. Shaw has a terrible injury history and I would never select him on that basis.

he's young, plenty of players become less injury prone, no reason to write players off

I have decided to go with a bit of a differential captain choice this week. My choices are:

    A) Kolarov
    B) Wilson
    C) Mahrez

So far it's Wilson for me, even though Kolarov is also tempting option.

    1. Jafalad

Kolorov for me. Three chances to win: attacking points, defensive returns and bps for either.

    - WC'd 2 weeks ago
    - Took a 44 point hit on Friday (Nutcase)
    - He has Shaw
    - His two defenders on bench are Steve Taylor and Martin (lol)
    - He also has a City mid field player who isn't nailed on (De Bruyne), he put Silva in when taking his hits but when noticed he was out for last game he took another hit for De Bruyne lol.

Yes there is that but maybe he was having a punt. Newcastle kept CS at Old trafford and thought they would replicate their good defending. That COULD be his logic. Francis over Hoolahan must have been the real killer for him esp if he was watching the game

Getting defenders in solely for attacking points is setting yourself up for lots of headaches.

Do you see Spurs keeping clean sheets? If you reasonably convinced. Then yes, get in a defender who will likely keep a clean sheet. If it's for the odd goal cos he's playing in DM... I'd look elsewhere.

Finally made it into the top 800K! Sigh..

Benching Hoolahan & Payet after this week :/

    Fabianski
    Sagna | Shaw | Gomez | Richards
    Sanchez | Mahrez | KDB
    Aguero | Gomis | Diouf

    McCarthy | Payet | Hoolahan | Huth |

    2FT 0.6 ITB

If Aguero confirmed injured. Shaw > Kolarov, Aguero > ?

Already have 3 City players so cant just do Shaw > Kolarov.

@PuyolPantsUp : Kun's injury been removed in FPL. Pretty sure he's good to go. I guess just wait on the City presser for Pellegrini to confirm that.

Sterling seemed like the only City mid who got into dangerous positions last night.. I know the general consensus on here is that he cant finish his dinner, but he is getting more chances to do so than he has before. Goal/assist in his last 2 EPL games too and his stats seem pretty good. Anyone else tempted by him instead of Yaya/Silva?

The left footer that went wide? Well he should ve passed that one to sterling who was unmarked a few feet away from him and in a dangerous position yet again 🙂

lol... I just think he is too lightweight. I think Citys main problem last night is playing Sterling AND nasri

agreed.. good thing is i cant see Nasri starting for a looong while after last night. gonna be 3 of Sterling/Silva/KDB/Navas behind Aguero for the foreseeable i'd say

Hopefully Sterling KDB Silva in behind Aguero

        ^What this guy said.

Hard look past Silva IMO if you want a City MID.

Silva looks fantastic.. there's no denying that. However, he looks great for assists and has been playing fantastic and City need him more than any other player. However, His goal threat has been pretty poor so far.. and even at his best form he is not creating as many chances as the Arsenal boys. Dont like relying on other players finishing in order to get points from my fpl player 🙂 .. especially at 10+
          Also,
          I cant afford him 😆

Same here. Hence why it's just Kolarov + Kun for me. Silva is too expensive and I can't shake the impression I have of him that he'll hardly score much.

Not worth getting Raheem IMO. Pretty good pick among cheap MIDs who ARE delivering.

                Good luck with Chadli.

Reasoned Barkley can't be any worse so got him in his place. Will only consider him again when Eriksen returns.

Well after watching the games before last week I too was impressed by him and when heard that Silva was not fit, I took a hit to bring him in! 🙁

Fearing this week. He really should out score Silva else that hit would be massive for me!

    Shaw >

    A. Dawson - bang on fixtures, will play him in most
    B. Bellerin - don't need him vs Chelsea, after that okay fixtures, will play for home and easy games
    C. Cresswell - don't need him vs City, after that good fixtures
    D. Clyne - really only get a couple weeks out of him and don't need him this week
    E. Other
    F. Save FT - take the 0.1m price drop and have 2 x FTs for next week, when things will be clearer

Other defs: Kolarov - Williams - Francis (all playing this GW) & Huth

Johnny Evans would be a good shout if he gets over his knock. Only 4.8 so will defo rise in value given West Brom's good fixtures. Out of those options I'd go for A).

I can't be doing with JE, he's on the treatment table too much, rather pay the extra for security.

Dawson is probably the right answer but B & C are so much more exciting.

        F however is worth considering?

Yeah thing I agree it's got to be one of these (or outside option of C). Bellerin is great fun to own.

If he's dropping I don't see the point as you're only delaying the inevitable. If he doesn't look like dropping then save if you're not playing his replacement. That's what I'd do anyway.

thoughts on Vertonghen (5.5) or Alderweireld (5.0) as Shaw replacement?

Dier as a DM and Alderweireld partnering Vert as a CB have clearly made TOT defence stronger.

        I can actually afford a 0.1m decrease as I got him at 5.6m and he's now 5.7m, so I won't gain/lose anything anyhow, that's right, innit?

In a draft league and can choose between Hoolahan and Herrera. I know Hoolahan has had the great start to the season and got 13 points on Saturday and looks the more obvious pick but Herrera is starting to play in the number 10 role for Utd and looks good, who would you pick to be in your team for the rest of the season
