The Big Numbers – Gameweek 13

Our first members article of the week delves into the Gameweek 13 data this evening. We assess the downturn in form of a trio of premium midfielders, as Alexis Sanchez, Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard’s displays arrive under our radar. Harry Kane and Roberto Firmino’s weekend showings are also analysed, whilst we take a look at Bournemouth’s midfield improvement since Eddie Howe switched tactics in Gameweek 11.

Would you rather Barkley or Firmino over the next few?

Sanchez just might have be the (C) against Norwich.

Here's hoping him and Ozil can continue the form..

Both played really well today, yes not against the best Champs League team but still there for a reason, imagine what they can do against norwich

    Already have Lukaku and Vardy.

    A. Martial to Ighalo for free
    B. Martial to Kane for hit. Would have to dg Kolarov. No Kun and not going to get rid of KDB yet.
    C. Keep and use it get rid of Williams or Westwood. United's fixtures look decent till GW18.

      B.

I like Ighalo and he's staying in my team for the next three but I'd sooner think long term if I were buying and go for Kane.

Wouldn't be bothered by selling Kolarov either, wouldn't want him in my team at Christmas anyway as he'll certainly be rotated.

Thanks. Bought Kolarov GW 5 or so and he's been pretty underwhelming since.
May get Wolly. Leaving me with Wolly, Bellerin, VvD, Dawson and Williams. Not great but decent maybe.

Well expected goals has been covered by many, many analysts & it's been one of, if not the most reliable & consistent analytical metric in football to determine seasonal rank projections, form, overperformers, etc. It's been tried & tested for a while now.

Love it when you have a nice amount of strong fixtures in your team:

lei, SOU, SWA, nor, nor, nor, SOU, bou, bou, avl, CHE.

Have high hopes for this week.

Very troll. Glad this isn't my first year playing FPL, I might have given up on it already.

This. So many players have trolled me (and some are still doing it for me)... Barkley, Mane, Pelle, Kos, just to name a few.

Who would you play this weekend?

    Smalling (lei)
    Rose (CHE)

Currently what i'm on, but not sure if I can see Utd keeping Leicester out.

Also if they do keep them Leicester out I feel like this'll be when a lot of people sell Vardy.

Well same thing can be said about TOT keeping CHE out.

I'm a sentimental guy, so I think maybe United will do this one to preserve Ruud's record 😉

            True.

Haha it would be funny if they actually do.

Rose, Chelsea have struggled in all season, even more so on the road

Think they still have quite a good record in terms of scoring in games though? Remember being surprised at how few times they've blanked.

They'd still score I think. So if I played Rose it'd be for his attacking returns this game.

Is now a good time to jump off Kolarov? Surprised he's only registered 1 goal and assist all season so far considering how attacking he's meant to be. Also, City without Kompany means no clean sheet.

I want to sell Sagna soon because of the rotation threat over Christmas and the same logic applies to Kolarov. With money stretched elsewhere I wouldn't want an expensive defender I can't rely on to play every game.

Yeah, I'm looking at Rose or Toby as a replacement right now.

I can't make my mind on the starting DFs.

Bellerin surely takes the first spot, but the other two are tricky.

Two at home : Simpson (MUN) and Richards (WAT)
Two away : VVD (mci) and Dawson (whm)

    Which two would you pick?

    1. Jape

      Dawson and VvD

      VVD/Richards

    Cech / Gomes
    Janmaat / Smalling / Rose / Dawson / Moreno
    Ozil / Sanchez / KBD / Mahrez / Wanyama
    Vardy / Kane / Lukaku

    1FT and 0.4ITB

    A) Janmaat > Wollscheid/Ward/4.4/4.5
    B) Save FT

Freeing up funds for Kun in a week or two.

A for sure as it gets rid of a Newcastle defender.
Ward is fine. Is Simpson of LEI nailed? If so looks good for cash saving, this defender wont get much time on the pitch, Smalling and Rose basically every week with with one of Dawson and Moreno is fine

I know he knows what he's doing but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact Ville Ronka got in Ritchie...

Another defensive question. Which 3 would you play of

    Smalling, alderwield, Dawson, nyom, bellerin

Thinking probably bench alder, not sure of the others.
