Acqua has asked this q a few times so here is my answer: Daniels over Jagielka by some margin IMO

Cheers, any reason as to why?

      Jags has the fixtures.
Daniels has PKs in his locker.

      It's a close call, IMO.

Because Daniels doesn't just have pens. He has one of the highest chance creation in the league and also a fair amount of shots in the box (not pens) for a defender. And Bournemouth have tightened up a lot recently.

Everton defence has been shambolic IMO, including "easier fix" where they open up and go for the win. There's a reason Lukaku is on fire and they're still midtable

No. Jags will outscore him over next 4 gws.

Altough he looks great 4th def option atm.

Dullard = I could take the "safe" approach and bring a defender this week and save 2FTs for next week.

Flair = I could remove both KDB and Mahrez in a double swap for 2 of Payet/ Firmino/ Barkley/ Silva

I'm getting fed up with these 2FTs.

2 FTs and 1.5 ITB. Ogbonna to Baines is the only move I'm really considering, thoughts?

    Butland
    Bellerin - Ogbonna - Moreno
    Silva - Ozil - Payet - Mahrez
    Lukaku - Kane - Aguero

    Hennessey ; Alli - Davies - Ward

Silva underlying last game was impressive, but City away games this season really make me think twice with their next few games.

I didn't watch Everton's last game, but based on Barkley's underlying stats, he was quiet. Firmino & Mirallas were outstanding but I am not sure how long Firmino's form will sustain, and whether Mirallas is nailed. So difficult to choose from.

Its not about a score. For scores, i always look at team forums to get a greater understanding of players starting chances.

Talk is there is a great chance Targett starts for a while as he has been brilliant and SOT have finally found a system that works for them.

They could even have Long and Austin playing together with Mane behind them and 2 wing backs.

If SOT persist with the system, Targett will stay.

That's why I'd propose 2 FTs. When the time comes you might want to get Targett in as part of a 2 FT deal, or you might have a better idea, or injuries may force your hand in other ways. To use 1 FT to get Targett in now closes off the other 2 options. All for a player who's going to be on your bench anyway.

    Thoughts on this? 2FT

    Ozil>Firmino
    Mahrez>Barkley

Ozil's form dips during the second half of the season and Liverpool have attacked well lately. 19th in the league for conversion but 2nd in taking shots. Firmino has been fantastic up top by himself and I really think he's great at shooting.

    Then next week: De Bruyne>Sanchez

Not 100% on this move yet but the possibility is there.

4 blanks and 4 fixtures ahead. I'm not bound by Mahrez's value.

Both Mirallas and Firmino have fixtures and form. Great time to punt imo. Mahrez has definitely lost penalites which was the only thing holding me back. I have an advantage that i'm not bound by Mahrez's value. Mirallas was MOM last game and he's done with his groin problem. Don't see him not starting the next 2 atleast. I need short term punts. Rest of the team is very stable.

Although I hav remarked on the advantage you've had with your Mahrez trades, your flexibility here has put you in a tricky spot, really. There's no guarantee that Firmino or Mirallas will out score Mahrez - so either is, at best, a punt. They both have history of FPL failure. But you are going into this eyes wide open and understand the risks, so I'm not telling you anything new here. Of the two, I'd go for the Mirallas option. Everton seem more capable of scoring - Liverpool are blanking too often for Firmino not to be a risk. And Everton have the best fixture next week of the two. But it really is a complete lottery - any one of the three could haul, or any one could blank. So either of the 2 that save you the FT would be the best 2 options, the Firmino trade the most risky.

Firmino is the one i fancy though. The way i see it Everton could score 1-2 more but Mirallas involvement chances are low. Liverpool score less but Firmino high involvement chances.

THing is i fancy Liverpool to score a few though. I'll only decide once we know the carling cup finalists though so i can plan for GW27.

Well if it's not for this week then maybe Smith down to Targett is the only one to do - as you already have 2FTs then you're not in the same boat as Christina with his Williams trade. Then you can look and see what happens with Sanchez with little risk.

              1. Christina.

I also have 2 FT's. I need to use 1, so Targett in for Williams gives me 1.1m and another 2 FT's...

It opens the possibility of Firmino/Mirallas/Barkley in for Mahrez when we have more news on a possible DGW. It also gives me another week to assess Mahrez/Kdb/Alexis/Silva etc etc...

If Target is still nailed on in GW 25 & 26(when I would have played Williams) then great. If not, then TS.

Disapointed that we don't yet have a hot topic if Mahrez should be sold. All the signs are there that he needs to go and still people are keeping him.

    - No form, no stats, probably no pens, tough fixtures, 5 blanks in a row

Why? Most of us got him him for 5.5-5.8 and there isn't any standout replacement in same price range atm. Maybe its just fear to move on.

I decided to take a risk and sell him only because I want to be ahead of a curve in case he blanks in next two and mass sales starts. Altough selling him could easily destroy my season.

But playing safe will never get me inside top5K

I'd argue that they are no comparable options at that price so the you either raise a few pennies for a bench midfielder or spend cash to upgrade. You could argue that there's a fear factor involved though I suspect that's more prevalent among the sellers who are searching for a differential to make a dash up the rankings. There's every chance that this will backfire although it could work out if they've judged it well.

I am giving him this week and want to see hkw he reacts to the situation around him. If he reacts well to the criticism and to his poor form, he could go off again. If he doesn't look like doing anything again, I think it'd be time to move on.

Thing is I have both of them with Mahrez and I am struggling to find a replacement who is worthy at this point of time. Wijnaldum could have been one but he only likes to get scores at home. Mirallas is a bit too punty right now while Firmino is very inconsistent.

    4O-50ish points behind ML leader.
Do I hold with a couple of differentials (Moreno and Simpson) or make my move now and remove KdB, Marhez or Alli?

Looking at Firmino, Silva... Who are your differential tips?

I went Silva & Payet, though I had Giroud for the last 4 or 5 weeks and that did me well.

      Now gone Kane/Lukaku/Aguero.

A lot of people probably can't afford Aguero, so I would look at him.

Now that Silva is back (and based on his performance in the 4-0 win) he is a must buy.
