The Big Numbers – Defence – Last Four Gameweeks

We roll out the first in a series of three members articles this week, analysing the player data by position over the previous four rounds of fixtures. Everton and West Brom’s right-backs arrive on our radar along with Swansea’s skipper, whilst we also cast an eye over the recent defensive displays from Liverpool, Chelsea and the Baggies.

I believe that Aston Villa clean sheet which was very close to disappearing was my goodbye to Moreno.

He's out this week for me.

Are people making their transfers early or late this week....have 2 FT and an itchy trigger figure but from past experience I should hold

    1. DrunkPhilosophy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

      8 years, 2 months ago

Had 2 , did Lukaku -> Vardy since he won't be playing and to avoid Lukaku's price drop , and keeping the 2nd transfer until we know more about blanks and doubles.

      1. The Left Duke #3
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 2 months ago

Vardy in will also be one of my FT's and was all set on getting rid of Lukaku but I have Kun too who is made of glass and with 2 big games for City, i'm going to wait and see what happens.

Will defo be using my 2nd FT on a player who plays in GW 30....hopefully no FA Cup replays to cloud our judgement

    2. djenzio
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 2 months ago

I have 2FT and am holding, injuries could happen but we should have more info on who blanks in 30 so can help me decide who to bring in

      1. The Left Duke #3
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 2 months ago

Ya I held on doing Lukaku to Vardy and am will to miss price changes in order to bring in two fit players who will play in GW 30.....think i'll wait until the last day to make the 2 FT's but it will be a long bloody wait. 🙁

I know it's still way too early, but a quick captain poll:

    A) Vardy

    B) Kane

    C) Payet

    D) Mahrez

      1. Pochecinno
        • 8 Years

It's more the idea to move the FA Cup to weekdays - that way they definitely won't collide with a weekend league game

That could really kill the FACup and as it is, it's probably on life support. The attendances would suffer and the glamour (or what's left of it) would be fairly diminished with midweek games

What is everyones thoughts on the Arsenal Barcelona game?
Messi Suarez Neymar are on fire but I think Arsenal could head to the Nou Camp with a 1-1 from the first leg.

Haha, they have averaged 1.6 goals a game away from home this season which has made me think it won't be quite this one sided.

As I said above, something that might give Arsenal fans hope is that Barca have only averaged 1.6 goals away from home in La Liga. That is despite them coming up against the teams which they and Real typically beat 5/6/7/8 at home.

I know we have a week and half left until the next GW, but would appreciate some feedback on my defenders for GW27.

Fuchs is locked in, the other 2 positions are up for grabs.

    My options are:

    A) Ivanovic
    B) Bellerin
    C) Daniels
    D) Ivanovic -> Spurs defender

    Which 2 would you play?

Need to start preparing for GW30. FA Cup with Spurs going through makes D) trouble unless they continue CS. C) seems to have the magic touch atm.

Fair point regarding GW30. It'd be a bit surprising if Spurs ended up having a game to play in GW30.

I agree about Daniels too, hard to sit him given his form and Watford's falling out of form.

I think I'm in a position to save this week, bring in VVD next week then have 2FTs to make a move back for Aguero for GW29 and on.
