The ScoutCast – Episode 198 – Fickle

Just three weeks ago we dedicated a ScoutCast to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

We collectively toasted his impact Manchester United and swore that he was set to be a mainstay in our squads and seasons.

Just 21-days later, three of the ScoutCast team have sold him on and another teeters on the edge – Jonty is only really hesitating because a four-point hit is involved.

To be fair, Zlatan’s likely biggest fan is missing for this week’s episode. With Granville nursing man-flu, it’s left to Luke to make a return and step in to join Jonty, Andy and myself as we gang up to round on the big Swede.

We’re clearly not the only one’s guilty of this foolishly fickle approach.

This week’s community questions were dominated by talk of a Zlatan exit, whilst also quizzing us on the rise and potential fall of Etienne Capoue, the potential offered by a switch to 3-5-2 and the merits of Theo Walcott as a Fantasy asset. No, really.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

You can view the full Google Hangout version on the second player below, or opt for the old fashioned audio via this link or the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Relatively happy with my wild card team.

Has to be the most ever spent on defence, but I think going with 2 playing strikers and the mid price mids allow it. Have also tried to go for defenders with extra attacking potential.

Any feedback on this lot would be much appreciated

    Loris (Pickford)

    Kos, Walker, Coleman, Lovren, (Amat)

    Sanchez, Coutinho, Sterling, Townsend (Capoue)

    Auger, Lukaku, (Diomande)

    Cheers

Capone or Diomande come in for the defender with the worst fixture (possibly like Kos this week)

Can Hazard fall again this week or is -3 the limit?

If so, do we think he will fall? -24% on FPL statistics....

-3 has historically been the limit. Unless the rules have been changed this season, which is unlikely.

For guaranteed starts it's Fletcher, for upside if he plays it's Marney. I started the season with Hjölbjerg but he's looking like a bit part for the moment now.

A: play valencia stones pieters and bench capoue

B: play AOA with capoue....and bench one of stones/pieters

leaning towards AOA as one of pieters/stones might not play and my back up defenders are friend (TOT) and souare (injured)

Considering it. Unlike costas counsellor, I don't think that this is a categorically wrong move. Payet is clearly the superior player with higher fantasy potential. The rub is that, as counsellor of Costa says, Antonio is red hot, and we would be guessing that his streak ends now or soon while Payet is more consistent. It also means that snodgrass or Capoue can keep up with Sterling, which is also questionable. Tough call IMO as Payet is elite.

      1. The Left Duke #3
        • 9 Years

True and just have that feeling in my stomach that Payet is getting up to speed and ready to explode after seeing him score midweek and 4 assists in 2 games previous to that. As you said the question is can Antonio keep it up?

    Jakupovic---Pickford
    Valencia---Williams---Lovren---Holebas---Amat
    Sterling---Firminio---Sanchez---Antonio---Capoue
    Aguero---Lukaku--- ( Rashford OR Deeney)

So A) Rashford or B) Deeney

Prefer Williams to be Baines and Lovren to be downgraded to a 4.5. Can't see many LIV cs.

      Could Sanchez be Cazorla?

      A good team though.

      Deeney preferred.

      Rating: 7/10
