Dugout Discussion

Dugout Discussion – Wednesday

The extended Gameweek 34 continues with a big night that delivers three hugely anticipated matches.

There could barely be more Fantasy interest across the trio of encounters, with a scattering of key assets in action.

Firstly, Middlesbrough’s Alvaro Negredo, signed by 201,000 and backed by an improbable 155,000 (3.5%), will bid to improve on a dismal 2-point return from his first fixture when he faces Sunderland at the Riverside Stadium. A crunch encounter for both teams, there will also be keen interest in the Boro defence with Ben Gibson signed by 118,000+ ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke was undoubtedly the weekend’s star performer with a brace at Anfield to provide his 506,000+ ownership with a 12-point return. Backed by 96,000 (2.1%) with the armband, he will look to build on that return in tonight’s encounter with Spurs.

But the title-challenging visitors will boast their own cast of key figures, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen supported by an army of Fantasy owners. Kane is himself backed by 244,000 with the GW34 captaincy.

Finally, at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal will host Leicester City as they bid to revive their top four ambitions having navigated to the FA Cup Final at the weekend.

The big news from north London is that Alexis Sanchez may just be restored to the central striker role, with both Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud benched – Theo Walcott comes in and could also be a contender for that position if Wenger retains the 3-4-2-1 system.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Agüero hat trick and Rashford goal with Valencia assist.
      29 + 17 + 7 + 4 = 57 points.
But I would’t put my house on it.

    Creative corner.
What is that one question which when you hear from a footballer sounds ridiculous.
Ex: Ramos asking, " How can anyone get a red card? ".
Mention the footballer and the question.

    Ddg Pickford

Obviously going to see what happens in tonights Manchesterderby but I have 9.3 in the bank so I can take a one week punt on anyone. Tempted by City but would you go Kun, Jesus or Sane?

    Current attacking eight:
Sanchez - Allí - King - Zaha - De roon
    Kane - Negredo - Benteke

    Will probably captain King regardless.

Gw 35: go for consistent kun, negredo out. U will still have 2.5 in bank. Gw 36: zaha out tadic in, Gw 37 : Sanchez +benteke + de roon out : hazard + Gabbi + sane in (-8).

Lots of people TC'd Rashford and Negredo so it's not looking like the worst move so far. Sanchez looking unreliable for TC in 36 although will not doubt be TC'd by plenty, along with Gabbiadini. Can't see any 20pt+ returns so Aguerro wasn't the worst decision by a long way.

Aye meant to say, I won't be making these changes til next week. This week's transfer hinges alot on my budget though. Was set on bringing in Daniels but now I'm thinking I'd be better to keep my options open and bring in either Smith/Stones or Yoshi. The extra 0.4m+ allows 'a' to go through but I'll wait and see what happens with Gabbi and Costa this weekend

So, the last weeks I've tripled up on Spurs with great success.

    First Son/Alli/Eriksen, then Alli/Eriksen/Kane.

On a WC now, and I'm starting to think that keeping Eriksen in favour of Sanchez could be a great differential, albeit a risky one. When Spurs score, basicly one of them (at least) is involved.

    Thoughts?

    Morning lads!

Thought I had nailed my WC, but no. Team A, B or C? Tc36 BB37

    A)
    DDG Pick
    Alonso Stephens Bailly Clichy Holgate
    Sanchez Hazard King Alli JWP
    Kane Benteke Anichebe

    B)
    Cech Pick
    Alonso Stephens Gabriel Clichy Holgate
    Özil Hazard King Alli JWP
    Kane Costa Afobe

    C)
    Cech Pick
    Alonso Stephens Gabriel Clichy Holgate
    Özil Hazard King Alli JWP
    Kane Costa Anichebe

Will move Benteke for Gabbi for DGW. B) allows for upgrading King directly to Sané for his DGW

Who do you think will start at LB for United tonight?

    A) Shaw
    B) Darmian
    C) Young

Shaw had his rest at weekend but you'd think Jose preferes Darmian for this fixture since he is more defensive minded of the two.
