Gameweek 36 finally comes to an end this evening as Southampton entertain Arsenal at St Mary’s.

Alexis Sanchez will again be the focus of most managers’ attentions. Sitting in over 27% of FPL squads, the Chilean was the most captained player (11.2%) in the round of fixtures but a blank at home to Man United in his first match of Double Gameweek 36 means he has now netted just once in seven league appearances.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to add to a pair of assists in the 2-0 weekend win over Jose Mourinho’s side. The Gunners’ wing-back has been drafted in by over 15,000 FPL managers this week for a Double Gameweek 37 against Stoke and Sunderland.

For the Saints, Manolo Gabbiadini was the fourth most transferred in player ahead of last week’s deadline, with over 108,000 taking the plunge.

Yet a blank against Liverpool took his run to one assist in five, as Claude Puel’s defence racked up the points at Anfield instead thanks to a fourth clean sheet in seven.

Thanks to his spot-kick stop away to Liverpool, the Saints’ Fraser Forster leads the way among the Double Gameweek contingent on 16 points ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm encounter.

    Managed to finally take the lead in my mini-league this week...by 3 points. I have BB chip for this week and he doesn't.

    Is it worth doing Alli & Gabbi out for Pedro & Jesus, for a hit? Currently got the exact money to do it.

    He has both Alli & Pedro and neither of the strikers so would be marking one of his options either way, but the transfers mean I'd have Jesus over Gabbi.

      Difficult. I wouldn't feel comfortable not having Alli if my nearest competitor had him. Jesus is a much better bet than Gabbiadini, but Pedro isn't nailed. I lean toward not doing it.

        Yeah, my only worry is Alli exploding and definitely think he's a better pick than Pedro to be honest.

        Although I think Jesus may get a massive haul this week, whereas Gabbi seems hopeless!

        Only other clear ways would be downgrading one of Hazard, Sanchez or Kane (none of whom he has currently?!) - although all of them feel like a higher possible ceiling than Alli.

      Once Conte has wrapped up the title he will rotate. I can't see Hazard playing 90 mins for both games in gw37. Safe thing to do is bring in KDB. City still fighting for something.

    Gentlemen, ladies, I need some urgent strategic advice and help with my inner turmoil. Only Sanchez (TC) saved my ass this week. Take a look at this mess, which includes about four players who never seem to play.

      Well dgws such as these usually repay a well thought out hit or two.

      Gks and defenders do well in dgws so apart from Yoshida, you are not well blessed in this dept.

      Valencia -> Alonso is a no brainer.

      I would also get Fabregas too who I think will start the next three gwks.

      If you have the cash, some Citeh investment in midfield would serve you well too esp KGB.

      I'm of the same opinion .. if you have a player that doesn't play then taking a 4 point hit for a dgw player is a no brainer.

      Assuming they play 180 mins and do nothing else.. you will have recouped the hit
