Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Hull City

Sunday’s events begin at Selhurst Park in an encounter that’s crucial from a Premier League perspective but offers only partial Fantasy interest.

Following Swansea City’s victory at Sunderland on Saturday, relegation-threatened Crystal Palace and Hull City will go into the noon kick-off decidedly edgy, with the home side likely to be set up to avoid defeat, while the Tigers will surely need to snatch all three points.

Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is the most owned outfield player on show.

Still part of 12% of squads, the winger has nonetheless been shed by over 226,000 FPL managers over the past three Gameweeks following a dismal run of just seven points from his last five starts. That spell followed huge investment ahead of his two fixtures over Double Gameweek 34 which saw him produce a pair of 1-point returns.

Eagles boss Sam Allardyce will certainly look to Zaha to inspire his side today, along with striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian has followed a similar pattern to Zaha – spiking in ownership ahead of Gameweek 34, only to lose over 183,000 owners over the last two Gameweeks.

Benteke and his remaining owners will take some comfort from the fact that Hull City have shipped 13 goals from corners and the same number of headed goals – in both cases the most conceded in the Premier League.

But Palace have also shown fragility at set-pieces – they have also allowed 13 goals this season – a factor which could be exposed by Marco Silva’s visitors.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Yeah, I could play it when I was at school and never missed a deadline. I've got a week off at the start of Champs Trophy so can't wait. Not much researched needed either.

4-0 for me. Utd don't care. Spurs nice send off. Mourinho can make sarcastic comments at the end of the match.

I hate these odd numbered years with no summer international tournaments. Once fpl is over, we'll have nothing but rubbish like tennis and golf and cricket for 2 months

So for potential Sturridge punters, we want him to have a great game, look very threatening but ultimately do very little to keep his profile low

Only another Firmino injury keeps him in the starting lineup unless he scores I am afraid. Too risky with Origi, Firmino and Coutinho all fit to take a punt on him. He has to score 1-2 goals otherwise he could easily start from the bench in 38.

Pathetic how many empty seats at West Ham. How can they not sell out for this game. Like City, West Ham given a staduim.

The last game at The Lane surely can't be another blank fest from Kane, Eriksen and Alli?

Going to be goals in this one surely. MUFC "B" team is actually pretty good with Martial, Rooney, etc. and one or both of Jones and Smalling but Tottenham will be fresher and more mentally motivated in my opinion. 2-1 or even 3-1 to the home side who are just far superior this season.

On paper I thought I'd probably edge the win over my mini league leader who had just 6 points on me, but a bunch of single game week players still and a Man U player who wasn't going to play both games. He had Zaha, Llorente, Naughton, and Bailly. I had Gabbiadini, Stephens and Holgate and Erickson.

Almost in the bag to 30 point swing in his favour and counting.

Am looking for an alternative to Llorente for the final week. Need to get the edge over my mate and I know he will swap Gabb for Llorente.

Any thought on Origi instead? Has to be no more that 6.8m
