The ScoutCast – Episode 228 – Countdown

The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

        He is suspended yes. Whether that helps him domestically is a matter of opinion but he started most games for Man U when fit last season apparently.

    Attack & mid all set, but have 0.5m left to maybe bolster defense

    Players in caps are ones where I can spend that 0.5.

    A) Speroni --> 4.5 GK (Speroni likely not starting, and NC might sign a gk)
    B) Jones --> 5.5 (maybe Davies or Monreal)
    C) Bank the 0.5 to use when needed

      I would wait and see with Chicarito as they have tough fixtures. Matic poor choice in my opinion. He takes a valuable Utd space and there's better alternatives at 5.5. I would try to upgrade a Foster but not the end of the world. Strong def and forwards

    Crystal Palace have two reasonable home fixtures, granted, but the ownership for Zaha is crazy imo ~25%. It makes you feel you might need to have him just in case.

        I do not want Davies only for an away match at Newcastle and the Chelsea clash at Wembley.

        Because people selected their waivers and got them before other people picked them for themselves.

        Free agents are players people picked that nobody else wanted. (I think)
