After Aaron Mooy fired Huddersfield to victory over Newcastle, we make our way to Wembley as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea go head-to-head in Sunday’s final fixture.

A victory for Spurs today would set a new club record of 15 successive home league wins, yet their record in competitive matches at Wembley – two wins, one draw and seven losses – is anything but convincing.

Subject to over 164,000 transfers out last week, Harry Kane has now gone 11 Premier League matches in August without finding the net.

Yet Kane was still the second most captained player for Gameweek 2, handed the armband by 526,000+ FPL managers as he looks to recover from last Sunday’s blank at Newcastle.

Both Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli plundered the points at St James’ Park to put Kane in the shade.

They also combined for both goals in the corresponding fixture last season, with Eriksen supplying assists for Alli’s pair of strikes in a 2-0 home win over the champions.

For Chelsea, Alvaro Morata is handed his first start after emerging from the bench to bag a goal and assist in last week’s shock home loss to Burnley.

But there’s no Eden Hazard as he fails to recover from an ankle injury in time for the Wembley encounter.

    If you watch Willian's chance where he hits the post, Alonso is on the penalty spot anticipating a rebound like a striker.. This is in open play on the counter.
    If that doesn't convince you to get him then I don't know what does.

      Alonso is effectively a midfielder. 4-3-3 very possible with that team. If it were me I'd probably get an even cheaper mid because I'd have that 4th mid on bench with that back line.

          Even after Chelsea were demolished last week I was very impressed with Alonso. He's worth every penny and proven. (Coming from a non-owner)
          Unfortunately you'll have to lose Salah to fund it, although maybe you could work something with getting Willian out instead?

      Mickey. Carlton has scored 2 goals late in the game against cracked defences. He won't play WHU and SWA every week. Mickey is more advanced, involved in the final third, and won't get booked.

      Carlton is probably more nailed for minutes, but might get rested for the really easy fixtures, i.e the games we want them for (Brighton, Newcastle and Watford at home)
