Dugout Discussion – Sunday – Part One

Sunday’s four matches get underway with a lunchtime double-header as champions Chelsea host Everton, while West Brom take on Stoke City at The Hawthorns.

Some Fantasy managers will be torn by the Stamford Bridge meeting. The Blues defence are well backed via Fantasy Premier League investment in David Luiz (25.9% ownership) and, of course, Marcos Alonso (18.2% ownership). T

he Spaniard heads into today’s contest off the back of his devastating two goals at Wembley against Spurs, having picked up over 245,000 new owners ahead of Gameweek 3.

However, Everton’s Wayne Rooney has also soared in popularity following back-to-back goals. He claims a 20.4% ownership ahead of the Chelsea clash and is the most popular captain pick on show in the early kick-offs: 93,000 have trusted him with the armband.

Meanwhile, at The Hawthorns, there is no question of the preferred outcome from a Fantasy perspective.

West Bromwich Albion will be seeking a third successive clean sheet against Stoke and boast the Gameweek’s second most popular transfer target in their line-up.

The towering Ahmed Hegazi has picked up over 504,000 new owners ahead of today’s clash and already ranks fourth for transfers in ahead of Gameweek 4 before taking to the pitch.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Oops. We get the early Saturday, late Saturday and one Early Sunday and one late Sunday. One of that lot comes on BT. The rest Sky. If you're a FPL addict or pure football lover it cost at least £62 per month to watch all. Add internet and landline it's about £80 all in. Rip off.

One thing about Hegazi is his English is excellent. Makes communicating with the rest of the defence much easier if you all speak the same language. A defence also needs a leader, but Dawson and Brunt are experienced enough to do that job.

Believe Sky cited Newcastle and Villa being relegated as a contributing factor to why viewing figures plummeted last season. Newcastle usually draw large viewing figures, thus will be selected often.

Bias? Bigger teams have bigger fanbases so it just makes sense to televise their games. This is just complaining for the sake of it.

So how are the smaller teams meant to be able to attract larger crowds when they are not televised. Personally I think the biggest issue is the ban on showing 3pm kickoffs

Brighton have more games televised than Everton Man City & Chelsea according to this list. They're surely one of the smaller clubs fan base wise in the EPL

Pete from Manchester isn't going to suddenly start supporting Bournemouth because they're on TV a lot. The vast majority of people support their local club, and will do regardless of how often they are on TV.

If anything, not being on TV that much can only help, as attendances will be larger.

True that, Pedro will probably be benched if and when Hazard returns

Takes 5 seconds of bad football to concede.

I think there is a chance Willian keeps his place and Pedro is dropped when Hazard comes back.
