“This is how the ScoutCast was meant to be” exclaimed Granville.

He’s not wrong. If you’ve successfully avoided this brand of nonsense to this point, episode 232 provides a less than gentle introduction.

Just don’t expect me to take a beating every week.

That’s certainly what pans out over this lengthy landmark episode which finds me rolling the punches after my “ill-timed” Wildcard.

Granville and Jonty take turns to dish out the blows, while Andy and Az make uncomfortable spectators.

Once the scuffle dies down, we do our best to address the latest community questions, assessing strikers, mid-price midfielders and the latest wing-backs demanding our attention.

But, for once, that forms the undercard for the “big fight”.

    I have Kane captain but you just know he won't deliver in the end. Yes he is in awesome form now but these kind of things happen all the time, the unpredictability, and when you think a player is gonna get a brace or a hattrick he somehow manages to flop. After 2 0 down I think he could get subbed off as well to save him for champions league fixtures

      He is in great form and has won the Golden Boot 2 years on the bounce. He is as consistent as they come. I would be very optimistic of him getting at least a goal.

    why hasn't Kane gone up in price? last night in fplstatistics he was over 100 and had his name highlighted, indicating it wasnt necessary to make anymore additional transfers for Kane to go up in price

      Just get Davies in. Not sure which of Stephens or Hegazi to get rid of though.

      No mids in the £5.6 category except Atsu that catch the eye this week so doesn't seem worth it for a hit.

    Is Manquillo (4.5 - NEW) flying under the radar?

    Newcastle's defence has been decent recently and they are heading into a nice run of fixtures.

    In the members section stats tables if you sort defenders by "chances created" Manquillo comes out joint 3rd with Alonso with 6.

    If you sort by "big chances created" he is 2nd, just behind Azpi, with 2 (vs Azpi's 3).

    Am I missing anything or is bringing him in a bit of a no brainer at 4.5?

      Wouldn't say he's under the radar. Newcastle defence as a whole is getting attention. Elliot is in most teams and many don't like the double up.

      I think one of the defenders is a great shout right now. Manquillo is my preference ahead of Lascelles too
